Ok that hampers me a bit :)

Reason I asked about that is the request for access is a big part of the post I have in my head. I was hoping it had been stated and approved.

Sorry...

I'll be sure to ask for it this round, though.

Ok cool

Like I said until it's put out on the table the post I'm writing won't work . Plus I'll most likely be posting last after everyone else so I'm going to finish writing it on the fact that Ayrn will put it out there.

Sorry Tann

Well some times things dont go to plan, you know?

But in this case dont worry, the request will still be made by Ayrn you will just have to pose your response not knowing if permission will be given. I will tell you that it isn't a unreasonable request, so odds are good.

Ok I have gone ahead and updated. Sorry Tek, I didnt see your last post as you must have put it up while I was updating mine for posting. It is a nice post, in character very nice, I dont think I have anything there to address as it seems mostly aimed at Crow so I wont make any changes to mine unless you see something I need to post to. If so, let me know. ok?

I will be travelling most of this week, but will check the inn for any questions you might have. Next update, next weekend.

Specific deadline

Aryn,
Do you have a specific deadline for posts by players? I've been working with Sunday evening/Monday morning, but your last post indicates you hope to update by the weekend. So, by Friday night we need to have an update in?
Thanks!
Ayrn

Posting Deadline

Sunday Night is my current Deadline. If everyone's post is in by then I can update either Sunday night, as now, or Monday Night, the usual update for me. So, figure on Sunday Night as being the player's deadline to post with an update by me on Monday Night at the latest.

Sorry if I confused you.

Helmet

Does the full plate armour come with a helmet? In other editions it does, but I'm not sure about second ed... it is my pretty much my first time playing second ed!

Leaving

After the last post of Crow's actions and words I have decided to bow out of the game. No way such is compatable with the other characters and certainly not Alana. Hope you all have fun.

Not ready to leave yet...

Keeper, I'd encourage you to stick around a little longer, as I think we can find a way through this as players. I know that may be hard as you seem to have made your decision final, but... please, reconsider. Alana is a neat character, and I think she could make alternative response to not showing up at the ferry. As a player, it might involve back posting a response to Crow... I don't know...

Like Keeper, however, I will admit, I'm not really looking to play long in a game that's going to be filled with party in-fighting. I get that our culture is on this kick of celebrating the anti-heroes (the Punisher) and the "flawed heroes" (Iron Man, Thor, Raislin, etc)... and they can make for a good book or film, I suppose... but, I haven't had a really great experience at the gaming table with those type of characters very often. I got enough "drama" in my own RL, that I don't really have a lot of energy for creatively working through pretend tension while at the same time looking to keep the party together.

I said this earlier: it's all fine and well that if you and I want to create "lone-wolf" and/or "flawed" heroes (with character traits that are less than heroic), but if we do, the most important bit of our roleplaying has got to be sorting out how our characters are going to make it as a team. If we can't navigate that, then lone-wolf characters are just going to end up being left alone.

Peace!
Ayrn

Clarifacation

OK once again I seem to be defending a post of mine from Keeper, go figure. There are a number of reasons for my post none of them greedy or selfish.

1) We are not the first party to go here for this book so Crow wants any advantage he can get to make sure the PARTY gets there, gets the book, and does not die in the attempt.

2) Crow has no need of Tomes or Books as he cannot read and lives mostly outdoors. So he did what I would do and asked for something else. However if you read my post he did so not only for himself but for Saadar and Kaelyn’s characters too as they are not “Spellcasters” or book types.

3) Though he took the 500 gold given up by Tek’s character he only took it because Tek gave it up. Crow never asked for more money just questioned if going to this tower for 1000 gold was worth dying for. On top of that he is not pocketing that money for himself but using it to find anything magical that once again will help him and thus the PARTY survive this quest.

4) Crow’s job as Pathfinder puts him in the most danger as I will be in front of the party by 30-40 yards in wooded areas and such and will possibly be the first to be attacked. So again any advantage he can gain he will take.

5) As far as teamwork that will be no problem as I will work with everyone as he is no ‘Lone wolf’. However he does not consider any in the party as a friend but more like co-workers due to his background. Crow will do his job and do it to the best of his abilities for the betterment of the PARTY.

6) I’m attempting to play my alignment as stated in the 2nd Edition Players Handbook as copy and pasted below.

7) Finally as I know Keeper as a close friend in real life Ayrn, if he wants to quit, let him quit. There is no point in trying to get him to stay if he wants to go; he is very stubborn that way. Honestly, though he is a good friend, HE has more problems with my posts whether I post them as a DM or a player then any one person I know.

“CHAOTIC GOOD: Chaotic good characters are strong individualists marked by a streak of kindness and benevolence. They believe in all the virtues of goodness and right, but they have little use for laws and regulations. They have no use for people who “try to push folk around and tell them what to do.” Their actions are guided by their own moral compass which, although good, may not always be in perfect agreement with the rest of society. A brave frontiersman forever moving on as settlers follow in his wake is an example of a chaotic good character.”
