D&D 5e Recruitment. "Murder in Baldurs Gate"

So back from a long hiatus I'd like to run a game based on the module "Murder in Baldurs Gate". It runs from level 1-3, and uses the standard character building rules for 5e. I know a lot of people haven't played any of it but I have and it's a fun system that steam lines many things. I can help with character creation and we're going to try an use online character sheets that are Fillable PDF's.

If you've played in the Module, or know the story I'd prefer if you didn't play for people who don't know it and would like to try out 5e.

The module is set for 4 lvl 1 characters and as that I'd like 4 people. I rather keep it to 4 so we can keep the game rolling and get the module completed in a relatively decent amount of time. If you have interest and cannot fit in there possibly could be people who drop so a spot might open. I'd like to keep the game at a good pace so if you don't post please just send me PM of a summary of what you want your character to do or I'll try to make a decision for you to the best of my ability, and we can retro actively fix things if it comes down to it. (but I rather avoid that whole problem to begin with and just have people post before the week is up )

Which brings me to posting minimums, one per week is a minimum but if everyone is done sooner I'll update as is, and feel free to RP back and forth either in chat, PM, or on the forum. If it's in private just send me a summary of what was said or the dialogue and I can add it into my DM post if you'd like.

Well if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask, It's in Forgotten Realms if you haven't gotten that already and no restrictions on anything with character building, just normal stuff out of the Players book.

But I really must stress, please if you know the story or have played it, please let someone else who hasn't played get a shot at it.

Interest

Last time I did something with 5e was when it first came out as a play test. As for Baldur's Gate I've only playe the PC game which has killed many of my characters. If these match qualifications for joinin and you wouldn't mind firing me the pdf's we would be using if be glad to join the game!

Also there's 1 character already created and Kamina has shown interests, so two more spots are available.

OOOH

I'd like to join this. Ever since 5e came out I've wanted to be like a Dwarf sorcerer or something just because I can and still be an effective sorcerer!!!

Of course I don't have to be that, I'm willing to try any of the classes and races together in 5e.

yeah you're more than welcome to be whatever you'd like to be! I just want non evil characters with people who don't know the module.

SilentOne's character is done, Kamina and Axio I need to work with you guys to create your characters, unless Axio you have the 5e players guide in pdf or hard copy which in that case give me your email address and I'll email you the form fillable character sheet that we'll be using.

My Stuff

I do have the 5e Player's Handbook, along with the other core rule books.

I'll PM you if you want and manage the character sheet the way you'll like it, but it'll be really tempting for me to use myth-weavers.com for my character sheets (it's funny because they do games too like we do, but they're too elitist for my tastes).

But yeah sure I'll PM you right away.

Ok I have five potential players who have all PM'd me, if anyone else has interest let me know. Also I found a pdf of the 5e handbook which I will be emailing to everyone. If you want me to be there with you to build the characters let me know. You can either roll with me in chat for stats or take the point buy (or elite array, either one works). for starting gold to buy equipment take the amount you need to roll in the beginning of the equipment chapter.

*EDIT*

Just emailed them to everyone. Everyone should be up to date on stuff to make characters including the Form fillable PDF to make a character. If you'd like to make a character on another format that's ok too, I'll convert it to the pdf for my personal book keeping along with what you have.

Players?

So who are these five players and what/who are their characters?

It would be cool if we had that listed here or in the starter of the QnA thread.

So far Interest has been shown by Silent One, Axiomatic, Kamina, Hammer, and Ayrn. Some characters are done others are in the making but so far it looks like a paladin and ranger are the only 100% confirmed right now. Others are still in the air a bit on what to be.

Also is the fillable PDF working for everyone ok? I just want to make sure it's saving correctly

Character

I've only just done a quick review of the material (race and class, really) and, so far, I'm leaning towards:

1) A forest gnome rogue [arcane trickster path]
2) Lightfoot Halfling or Half-elf Warlock [Archfey path]
3) Half-orc Barbarian [path unsure]

Anyone else have some thoughts?

Hmmm

If you go here and click on "D&D fifth edition character sheets" and then open the file that you download, you can get to "character sheet- form fillable pdf" and then that should work with saving. If you don't want to do that then we can figured out how to do sheets the classic way

Saving Sheet

I was able to take the original sheet and go to Edit Save As and rename the Sheet.

Filled in part of it and hit 'Command S' after every entry.

Double checked after Ayrn posted his not being able to Save, so I wrote down my notes and then closed the Sheet.

When I reopened it I found Every Note Saved.

Hill Dwarf War Cleric

I have settled on a Hill Dwarf War Cleric named Oskar Ungard (he worships Tyr, God of Justice)
