Ok. Character submitted. Human Hexblade 5/Lasher 3. Don't count on him for arcane support though, he only has two spells known and two casts per day.

Specializes in the whip-dagger. Can sneak attack, cannot trap find or lock pick.

Huh?

What the heck is a hexblade/lasher?

I have the 3.5 players handbook - that isn't in it, is it?

if it isn't a rogue or mage type, is it a fighter type? But with a sneak attacky twist?

Hexblade is a base class from one of the Complete series... adventurer or warrior, I forget which at the moment. Its a weak fighter that trades in bonus feats for light spell progression. REally light. But can cast with off hand while wearing light armor, and has a neat class ability.

Lasher is a prestige class from Sword and Fist. It's a class specializing in whips and whip-daggers, and gains class abilities necessary to make those weapons really usable. It gains a low sneak attack, and mainly just buffs the whip.

Goin' Crazy

And here I was thinking I might stick to boring old players handbook classes.

Standard classes are nice.

BUT A STANDARD CLASS DOESN'T LET ME SNEAK ATTACK FROM FIFTEEN FEET AWAY WHILE PRETENDING TO BE INDIANA JONES.

Clearly, one of these is superior to the other.

You crazy Ayrn, 4 concepts and a rough mock for someone else? I love it.

Chess and Shield have tentative sheets in, gonna review when less hungover but look good. So we've got a Whip Fighter and Druid so far. Looking forward to the rest of them!

Ok nice I think lol

Character looks good from what little I know about 3.5 but still a major question is do we have a healer in the party? Hate to have a great character die because no healer. But if we do have one or a way to keep us healed as needed then yeah I'll play the above

Pretty Basic Stuff

I have tried to run a human sorcerer that is focused on flame magic before and had the games fizzle, so I want to give Sirion another shot. So that is what I am working on, pretty basic stuff from the Players Handbook, but a character I like. Work in progress.

bh

The more basic the less I have to remember! All classes are welcome, and given how often in he past my PCs committed loosely justified pyromania, I suspect you're in the right spot.

Spells

Any suggestions on where to look for wizard/sorcerer spells besides just the PH? Those are kinda bland and I'm looking at someone who is kinda flame oriented.
