Olan and Oktoberfest

As some of you know, I brew my own beer.  After eight years of doing it, some of them even turn out decent.

This past weekend, I had a tent at Auburn's Oktoberfest.... and man, did I ever have a great time.  I got so much incredible feedback on my beer, including having representatives from a pro brewery telling me how I needed to find a sugar daddy to help me finance opening my own operation - and offering to help me out if that day ever came.

Yeah, they were probably just being nice to the hobby guy, but it still felt really good.

If you'd like to read about, see pictures, etc... I did a blog post on the subject.

Speaking as someone...

...who has been fortunate enough to sample several varieties of your beer, I can honestly say I don't believe for one minute that they were "just being nice to the hobby guy."

I've read the blog post and seen the pictures, too, btw. Good on ya, boss!

You're too kind.

I need to send you some beer now that I've gotten better at it.

Pshaw!

I'm not kind, at all... just honest.

Have you made an Irish Red, yet?

I have made a red several times, as a matter of fact.  It's one stye that I keep tinkering with, as I  have yet to be 100% happy with what I've done.  Had one that tasted great, but wasn't red enough.  Made some changes, red was pretty perfect, flavor was off.

Yuuuus!

I wanna try! I had to miss this year's Washington Brewer's Fest and would love to try out some Olan brews if at all possible!

I'll pay for S&H and everything! Or all of you could all just hop in the RDINN minivan and come visit the Pacific Northwest i.e. the land of craft breweries ^___^

That's also cool.

I'm down!

Haven't been to the PNW in forever!

Let me get the "RDINN Mini-van" painted, first, though... it's current color-scheme doesn't exactly scream "Adventure Awaits," does it?

Love the van!

I'll see what I can do about sharing some beer.  A word of warning - Canada customs kills packages of beer.

hurm

To get to try Olan's beer I would have to do a covert mission across the border, crash with Robert for a weekend and somehow make it back to Canada alive.

You're always welcome to crash with me, Alacrity... The most dangerous things here are my dog and facelicks.
