Sup.

Sitting aways away, Karn had been a bit on edge hearing the noise of activity near the stream. He turned, about to draw the shortsword, when he heard the friendly mew. He laughed to himself, and took his hand from the hilt.

Just a runaway Neko.

He stood up straight, to his short height of five and a half feet, and removed all his weapons. He was preparing to greet this Neko, and didn't want to seem threatening. He removed both blades, his shirt, all his armor, and boots. He then stepped out of hiding towards the stream.
He whistled, then called out.

"Ahoy there, Neko. I come as a friend to you, an enemy of your enemy."

He walked towards the cat, arms out wide, trying to be as unthreatening as possible.

Meanwhile, in the nearbye town...

A town sits a few hundred metres from the Neko's house, slightly run down and common, it had few traders. In fact there was only two traders in town, a general store and a pub, the rest were bent and broken houses, only just holding up to the test of time.

It was a perfect place to hide.

Akoria walked down the main street, a long dark cloak over her shoulders despite the day being mildly warm. She usually kept the hood up in order to hide her features but in this town refugees were common.
Akoria, however, was not here to hide. She looked up and down the street, noticing the emptiness of it before she entered the pub. There were several people inside, human except for one. Akoria could smell him even though he sat in the darkness of the corner.
She quickly crossed the pub floor and stood by the table.
"Fenix Wimser I assume?" she said just loud enough for him to hear. The neko looked up, his feline-ic appearance obvious even in his human form.
"WHatdaya want?" he snarled. The draglet put her clawed hand on her hip, revealing the longsword at her waist.
"Your complete attention," she said, "The government are here and they want you. Now if you-" before she could finish the man was up on his feet and bolting out the pub door so quick, he was on the street by the time the girl was halfway to the door.
"Dammit," she hissed.

The other occupants simply ignored her as she burst out the door, crossing the street and entering the dark alley across from it.
"Stop, Wimser!" she ordered, the neko transformed and trying to calculate the jump to the roof.
"Get away from me government scum! You're a traitor to your kind!" Akoria frowned.
"I'm trying to help you, the agents are outside the town to the west and if you follow my advice then you can get away safe." The neko looked at her.
"Why would you help me?"
"Because I hate-" she was interupted.
"GOod job Baklaw," came a greasy voice from behind her. The two creatures turned to see several agents, weapons raised.
"Traitor," hissed the neko as several sleeper darts hit his neck before he could even move. Akoria watched as the tranq worked quickly and the neko slid to the ground.
"Another nail in your traitorous coffin huh Baklaw?" said a tall agent with a grin. He watched as the agents walked over, restraining the sleeping Neko.
"Oh," he said before they left the alley, "What were you saying? You hate...?"
"Letting down my country, sir," said the Draglet with a glare.
"Good," nodded the agent.

stream

I look up the bank, noticing a figure, the sun is behind them so i cannot see, i can tell they're trying to be friendly and they have no weapons, not close enough for them to lure me into a trap with.
I move slightly closer and keep my broken nail hidden, my wounds still ache and the water isn't going to help that much more.
I notice the friendly stance of the figure, and the smile on their face, i can tell they want to help, i move closer, but slowly, not being able to move fast because of the pain.

I felt like a pirate last post...

He watched the neko's slow approach, and understood his caution. He did not want to frighten him by moving, so he patiently waited. Neko's could be fierce fighters when spurred into action.

"I am not here to harm you. Granted, you must hear hunters say that all the time to lure you in. But, I mean in all sincerety. Give me a chance to prove it. I have recieved word of a couple hunters moving towards this way to search a nearby town for a Neko. I would like to get you away, and start fighting back."

Sniff sniff

As the hunters mounted their horses, tossing the unconcious neko on the back of one, Akoria stopped. A familiar tang tickling her nostrils.
Neko blood.
She'd smelt it once before, not too long ago. A neko had been injured by a hunter, the scared creature yowling for help. Akoria ran her hand over a large scar on her shoulder remembering how she'd finally snapped, smacking the hunter so hard he collapsed. The neko muttered his thanks and ran off, leaving Akoria to face the music when the other hunters arrived. She'd been punished for her betrayal.
Betrayal? She thought to herself as she looked back towards the village. Traitor? What was she really? She hated the agents but had no choice to work for them. The leader of the group who killed her parents had spared her life and in doing so had forced the draglet to pledge her life to him. A lifedebt, one of her people's almost forgotten customs. Her parents had always told her how important it was and now she was serving the people who killed them because of it.
Talk about cruel irony.

"Sir," she said to the tall hunter. He looked at her with contempt. He would have killed the creature instantly but he had heard how they were perfect hunters and their silly 'lifedebt' andhad taken a chance. Fourteen halfbreeds to his capture record had validated his decision.
"What is it?" he asked.
"May I stay a while? I remember this place as a child. I wanted to go for a walk." the draglet hoped the human wouldn't see her lie. He didn't.
"Be back at base in an hour, halfbreed." he said simply before he and the others left.

Akoria travelled back through the town and through thick woods for several hundred metres, the smell of blood getting stronger with each step. Finally she crept close to a river, seeing two figures standing by it. She focused on them. One looked and smelt human and the other was neko for sure, injured. She decided to stay back and watch them. But she could smell something about the human that had attracted her here more then the neko's blood. Seeing his stance as the neko approached him, she knew she was right. He was a fighter, weapons at his side even better he smelt of the government. Perhaps he could help her break her debt...

Step out

The Neko still seemed slightly skittish, so karn smiled.

"Do not worry. What is your name?"

He felt as if someone was watching him, but he brushed it off with a thought of paranoia is normal during a war.

another scent near by

I slowly creep closer, sniffing, but i also smell another scent, this second scent seems familiar yet i know it isn't.
I keep my eyes on the figure in front, he's talking again. At least i know what gender he is now. I want to respond but in this form it is hard, so i stay quiet.
His voice is friendly and his scent is, he is away from his weapons and he is in a friendly stance, i move a little closer, still hurting, but not quite as much, i'm finally out the river, moving up the bank, it's muddy and wet, my claws on my feet help me move, I tread on a small loose rock, it falls into the water, i start to fall, i throw my fore-paws in front of me, trying to grab someone or something to stop me falling, i put my good paw behind me to try and balance myself, not realising i'm leaving my bad paw in front of me.

I'm coocoo for cocoa puffs

As soon as he saw him start to slip, Karn darted forward, laying flat on his stomach and catching hold of his outstretched arm. He started to pull up the Neko in a hurry, for he could've sworm that he heard a distant, barely audible gasp as the cat slipped. As he pulled, he noticed the injured paw. He got Neko to the top of the bank, helped him up, and half carried him into the woods.

Once there, he quickly grabbed his longsword and shortsword, spun them around once, and stood a ready stance, prepared to protect this character from any harm that would come.

he thought to himself, 'Damn, if only I hadn't taken off my armor. Well, if the bloods spilled, the dragon will drink it up.' He remembered the saying his father had used. The memory of his family, betrayed by his own brother, a powerful mage, slaughtered by the government when he was out hunting, stirred his blood, and reminded him why this cat was so special. He sensed something about him, something different, something that told him he had found the one to start up a real, organized resistance army. He prepared for anything, willing to die if necessary.

cocoa puffs are good but freddo's just rule

Lying here, my paw pulsing with pain, the figure holding weapons with his back to me in a defense stance tells me he wants to protect me, i check my paw, i notice that the broken nail had come off i smile and return to my human form. I check my hand, barely any nail left on one finger. Sighing I climb a tree and croach(not sure on spelling) on a branch, cat-like balance keeps my steady, i grab my almost forgotten bow and arrows out of my bag and lock an arrow in place, checking around for any attackers, I look down to the figure and whisper "thank you".

Freddos? as in frogs?

Akoria smiled widely as she watched the human fall into a defensive stance. It told her two things, one: he was efuinitley ex-milatary if not still and two: he was defending a hal-breed.
She watched them closely as the Neko picked up a weapon as well. They must have heard about the hunters in the nearbye town, she thought. Suddenly she froze. What if she'd been followed? Perhaps the neko had sensed something...or maybe she'd been sensed. Could the two be trusted?
Akoria decided to wait and follow them from a distance to ensure both her own and their safety.

OOC: My char isn't coming over yet cause I won't be able to acess the net for a while, didn't want to leave her hanging so she'll just be following k?

Wow

The ensuing silence confused him. He had known that someone was there, that something was watching, yet nothing happened. Damnit, he thought, I must be getting incredibly jumpy. He jammed the blades hard into their sheaths, and began putting on his armor.

"Neko, I don't want to continue this rude term to get your attention. Got a name I could call you?"

yes, freddo's as in the chocolate frog... not to be confused with hp chocy frogs

I relax a bit, not actually being able to use my full senses as I can in my neko form but at least i can use my bow in human form.

I look down from the branch and laugh
"Yes, I have a name, I havn't needed it for a while, being alone for a time makes you almost nameless, because of the lack of people that need to know, but I am called Churhry Kuhji, my parents used to call me Chur for short, before they found out i wasn't what they expected, after that they just called me 'boy' or 'kid'" Climbing down off the tree I thhought it might be a good idea to know the figure's name, calling him 'the figure' might insult him if I said it aloud
"And may I ask for your name?"
I draw my bow and take aim at a small rabbit, but before I release the arrow, I think to check if I already have enough food.

Dude....Cocoa puffs are way cooler.

Karn looked at his companion.

"Karn Gregoreth. I'm on the run from the government. Long story short, I fight back when I can, and I try to survive however I can."

He checked all his equipment.

"Any place in particular you need to be? I'm up for anywhere that won't kill me."

yeh yeh... sure they do

I look around the area and have a quick think, "well i've been going up this way" I say as i point westward "i'm not sure why, it just seems like there's something in that direction, and i'd like to get moving, it seems there may be someone following us".
