The Mysterious Message

You remove the message from the container and read the contents:

I'm in

Never liked the game. Mostly because I was too young to understand the controls at the time

EDIT: Scratch that command. Had a closer look at the earlier post

Open door. If locked, try the key.

Are you serious?

Grugg .. you want to consume the contents .. in fire .. by eating them? clarify and I'll be glad to have this happen for you. Until then I will assume you put the message back in the box.

Ok .. You try to open the front door and find that it is unlocked. It opens right up revealing an exit to the North into the cottage.

Heading In The Cottage

Cottage Living Room

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Inside the cottage living room is a wreck. It is as if someone has come in here and thrown things about in a fury as if looking for something. The floor is covered with books and papers and the chairs are overturned. The doors to the east and west are wide open. A desk drawer has been completely taken out of the desk and lies broken on the floor.

Put the chairs back up. A tidy house is a nice house.

A tidy house is a nice house

Taking some time you straighten up the house .. You place the chairs back up and underneath the table. you pile up the papers from the floor and place them on the desk and replace the fallen books on the bookshelf. It looks much better now

explore!

Let's use the old adventurer's rule... "left is right." since we are facing north, left would be west.

Go west, young man!

A Cottage Bedroom

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
This room is less disturbed. The wardrobe is wide open and clothes are strewn all over the ground. The bed appears to be undisturbed except for a crooked matress. There is an window here. This was obviously the place where the owner slept.

Searching In General

You search the room and find some loose change inside one of the pockets of an article of clothing. You find a total of 2 silver coins and 5 copper coins. You also find a small jade statue of a chinese dragon underneath the clothing. in the floor of the wardrobe.

*what do you want to do with the items you find .. leave them or take them?*

Special Note: Sometimes searching a specific item or area might result in a more complete finding

Take the items. Search under the mattress.

Look out the window!

Now you are thinking

Searching under the mattress reveals nothing special. It does appear as if there is a slight indention in the mattress. Whatever was there before has been taken.

You look out the window and see a small clearing and a tall oak tree in the middle. The woods surround the clearing
