Your purple monkey dishwasher is delivered with an entire family of purple monkeys hiding inside, unfortunately though the adults are great dishwashers they are having a hard time training the babies who are more interested in smashing your dishes to bits than washing them. By the time you figure out what the problem is you are out of dishes since they were all smashed and your attempts to send them back for a refund fail miserably as you are sent to the hospital with monkey rabies because one of the babies bit you as you tried to shove her back into the dishwasher from whence she came. The rabies turns out to be incurable, all this because you can't wash your own dishes.

The young girl was unaware of her father's identity and even though I yearned to, I was unable to allow my lips to utter the truth. No matter how much her heart ached for it, the veracity of the situation would cause her only more grief.
My version:
She didn't know. That was the simplest way to put it. She had never been told and I could not bear to be the one, not of everyone in her life who had more right than me...I could not bring myself to tell her this, that as much as she would love to believe otherwise the very truth was that the man she had spent her entire life learning to hate was the very man who shared half of her genes. I'd helped raise her these fifteen years and been through the ups and downs of her mother and her. I've loved my sister's child as if she were from my own womb... how could I bring such pain into her life? But, as she sits before me now, a broken person, weeping over her confused identity, begging the universe for answers, how can I not at least offer her the chance to at least know that no matter what a monster her father might have become, she was created out of love?

Before the dawn, while the sun had not yet risen very high in the east and I could still feel the chill of night in the yet unwarmed air I started my regular daily routine of walking down the road by the lakeside.

Sinterklaas and St. Nikolas are the same thing, I believe. I never figured out why the same story got transferred to Christmas Eve night in other countries when it started out at the beginning of December. I guess so that non-christians would have something to celebrate on the same day as the nativity.

I was wearing a size 5 1/2 when I was 12. I am now at a 6.
I'm only 4'11 but I think I was almost there at age 12. THOSE demensions didn't change much between 12 and now, it was OTHER ones that changed almost overnight.
