Are the archers within 30 ft of Thiferl?

Subject: Thiferl yells to Echo

"Echo, grab the Anu-Celes cursed ladder!!" Thiferl yells back to the half-elf. Hoping to get one more spell off before the next volley of arrows, Thiferl mutters a prayer to cast shield of faith on himself. He will then pick up the dead slave, and sling him over his shoulder. The note did say all the property should be taken to the warehouse, and his corpse may catch an arrow or two along the way. He will then stand between the archers and the slaves until Echo can get the ladder into place.

I thought Argent and some of the slaves had used the ladder to get down already. Perhaps with the mix up, that was never resolved.

Dropping to his knees and crawling the the fallen slave's position on the rooftop, to avoid incoming arrows, Thiferl drags the fallen slave back to a more safe position.
Muttering a prayer Thiferl channels energy into everyone within 30 ft of himself. He figured all the slaves might have slight injuries that he could help out with.
((OOC: If this doesn't bring the man gasping back to life, he'll use his heal check to try to save the man))

I haven't posted because I'm waiting for an answer to my previous question. I'd like to get in there and heal the poor guy who took the two arrows to the chest if I still can. But I'm not really sure how to post that.

Since I made a post that hasn't happened yet, can I change my mind due to these other circumstances? Or do I need to make these in between posts match up to the one I already made? I could start firing icicles from the rooftop at the soldiers below, but that wouldn't make sense with my earlier post. Perhaps a little guidance is necessary.

Subject: Thiferl will lead the way

Thiferl made sure he was the last person down the ladder after the slaves. He knew his brother would want to stay behind to protect their escape. After Argent gestured the slaves down the alley, Thiferl turned to his brother and said, "I'll see you after."
That was all that needed to be said between the two. They were both prepared to never see the other again, but both loved each other immensely, so much so that they didn't need to say it.
Thiferl then proceeded to guide the slaves towards the destination that their client had specified. The whole way he encouraged them to stick together, and be quiet and that they were going to a safe place.

I have light, wish I had obscuring mist or something . How valuable is water? I can create a bunch and leave it in a bucket and the other team will go crazy trying to possess it or something... or not.

Subject: Thiferl thinks ladders are the way to go

As Argent set about moving crates, Thiferl looked around the room. Tapping Argent on the shoulder, Thiferl pointed at the ladders once he had his brother's attention.
With an unspoken agreement, Thiferl went over to the mass of assembled slaves and proceeded to tell them that they would get out of this warehouse if they would just follow him up the ladder out the window, onto the roof and into the city beyond.
His insides were churning the whole time...

I'll admit I have no idea what to do. Either we try to sneak away with a bunch of slaves, or we fight our way out, or we abandon the slaves, none of these sound like a good idea.
I do have a question, is the archer still in the room? I know his player is gone, but maybe he could be a "distraction" and that's how the character disappears, leading these private guards away so we can escape. Anyway, just an idea.

Subject: Thiferl is thankful Argent took the lead

Opening the cellar door and finding dozens of eyes blinking back at him was not what Thiferl expected. He and his brother were raised in the temple of Amon Atus, and never had much gold between the two of them. Because of this they not only never had slaves themselves, but were never in a position to consider it. Other people did, but it was never personal to the two brothers.
So here Thiferl was standing over an open pit of people, some of which had been slaves their whole lives, some of which were new at this. Was it his choice to decide who to free? So he stood blankly doing what he did in situations where he didn't know what to do: inspecting for wounds, admiring metalworking (manacles and the like), and hoping Argent would decide for the both of them.
"Thiferl, lend them a hand as I help them up, yes?"
Thank Amon Atus.
Thiferl reached his hand down into the pit pulling the slaves that Argent handed him onto the main floor of the warehouse.
A disturbing thought struck him after the third body was handed up to him. How were they going to get the slaves to where they were supposed to go? Would they just march them down the street? What if they slaves didn't want to be lead? Were there enough members of the Blue Hand here to keep them from running off?
The look on Thiferl's face was that of concern, probably not what the slaves though he was concerned about though if they were expecting a rescue.

Can a spot check tell me how new the marks are? If they are brands or tattoos there should be some inflammation around them if they are less than a week old.

Steelight posed a question on page 4 of the Q&A. Echo and Thiferl are CN, while Daleel is CG, and Argent is LG. Slavery is legal in this city. And while Thiferl would probably be against the act of enslaving intelligent entities, if they were raised that way he'd probably be used to it. Just food for thought...

I'm 6'2" 195lbs or so. Dark blonde hair kind of short, in a faux-hawk, red full neatly trimmed beard. My eyes can be green or blue as they change. A little on the pale side, athletic build, black long sleeve collared shirt, black pants, black shoes. Can't wait to see what this looks like.

With Argent and my blacksmithing knowledge would we be able to ascertain if the padlock is very weak, and maybe sticking the handle of the hammer through it and twisting it would snap it right off?

Subject: Thiferl gives a knowing look

After exhausting the possibilities on this floor of the warehouse, the question of what lies beneath becomes more and more apperant. Skit must be standing guard as Thiferl and his brother hover over the looked cellar door.
Giving Argent a knowing look, he prepares to cast a spell.
While the Agamud brothers try for the most part to keep their respected noses clean, there were times in the past that were more challenging than others. These were times where it was morally justifiable, even under Amon Atus' eyes, to take from those who had more to feed and clothe those who had less, namely themselves. And while they weren't proud of what they have done, at least from the bragging-about-it-to-others point of view, they had learned a number of skills in their life that have helped alleviate the wealthy from their burdens.
Waiting for the nod from Argent that told Thiferl his brother was ready, Thiferl cast Icicle at the padlock, with icy and sudden results!

Is the lock a padlock that is external to the door, or is the lock built into the door? Also is this a vertical door that has some steps behind it, or is the door built into the floor and opens up?

My water Domain spell is Icicle, which is a ranged touch attack at thirty feet that causes 1d6+1/2 cleric levels of damage, my question is if I shot it at an inanimate object, say a lock, will it just do damage, or will it make the metal brittle as if it were frozen and sticking a bar through it would easily snap it. Just wondering?

Rolling the guard off of Daleel, Thiferl helps the halfling to his feet. With his hands on him he mutters a prayer to Amon Atus (OOC: Replaces Cure Obscuring mist with Cure light wounds and casts it on Skit), and brushes the dirt off of the halfling.

"We must act quickly before their friends show up." Argent stated, unnecessarily. "Or the city guards." he added.

"Argent is right, I saw the peephole close on that door," Thiferl said pointing at the office door. "Whatever we're going to do, let's do it fast before we get more company. Does anybody see the triskele on any crates?"

There are four reliable posters right now:
Almerin
Shield Wolf
Dakarta
and myself

Whose characters are:
Argent
Echo
Skit
and Thiferl

Ivellios is being controlled by Steelight right now but Jozan1 hasn't posted in a while. Aurion is gone, as is dayshadow.

In game there were three guards, and we've taken out two of them. The last of which has not taken any damage as of yet. Skit is the only player to have taken damage so far.

We're in this warehouse to find some crates with a symbol of a triskele enclosed in a circle on them. We're to bring these to a warehouse marked on the map. These crates may be on this floor or in the cellar beneath us.

We heard some screaming earlier, and unless it came from the guards, or one of the crates, it must have come from the cellar beneath us.

Am I correct so far?
