A 3.5 campaign that hasn't quite started yet?! I'M IN. Ho yes~

It shouldn't be too hard for me to make up a character...

You mentioned using the core books. Is it possible to use classes/things for any of the other 3.5 books? Or should I just stick with core? (I have almost every 3.5 book at hand on the bookshelf, and I'd really like to play with something different...)

The girl looked intrigued at the thought of the vine like things being his friends. As they wrapped around behind her, her eyebrow raised and she looked at the man skeptically.

"Are they sentient, or are you controlling them?" she asked hesitently. She wasn't sure how comfortable she was just at that moment, She hadn't noticed yet that she seemed to be cut off from the rest of the room by darkness. She wasn't used to being on her own, and she suddenly wished she had someone to tell her what to do. But she was supposed to be on her own fo this, prove that she could handle herself, and that's what she was going to do. So she swallowed any fear that may have bubbled up and kept an open mind.

At least is wasn't a Derro.

The girl braced herself, and at first wasn't overly concerned. She didn't quite understand why the man hid himself. And then she saw the tentacle like things that wrapped the chair behind him. Were they coming out of his back?

Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of them. She cocked her head to one side and raising an eyebrow in a questioning form. "Well that's...interesting. What are they?" Her innocent curiosity was evident all over her youthful face.

The girl frowned slightly. She didn't respond to the first comment, choosing to let it drop.

She shook her head softly. "I'm traveling, searching for something for my father. But I'm not a half breed, as far as I know." She didn't sound insulted, but more curious. As if wondering why being a half breed would matter.

She squinted her eyes, trying to see past the man. "Sir, are you trying to hide something, by chance?"

She looks in the vicinity of the voice, but can barely make out the shape of someone. She figures that it must of been that person who spoke and smiles at it in response.

"Thank you." she says grinning and pushing a strand of silver hair behind one pointed ear. "Maybe you should try sometime. It's a lot of fun."

She turns the seat and tucks her feet underneath, trying to get a better look at the person.

After every page of The Guardian, I get more and more worried that people won't like my pages as much. xD This has to be my favorite page so far (though I might say that for every page, each is getting better than the last!).

Actually, as I read this one, I suddenly got a lot of Dalana/Faustus romance going in my head. >.>

And I agree, the magic is superb.

Also, the heavens weep ashes. Best line ever. <3

At the end of the song, the girl made a sweeping and dramatic curtsy, then leaped gracefully from the stage on which she ended her dance. She walked up to the bar, even her normal walking seeming to hold that dance-like quality. She climbed up onto the bar stool and got comfy, crossing her ankles under the seat. Her smile never left her face.

"Well, hello there, chitling. What can I do for you?" Maria asked, her tone motherly.

"Pork if you have it," the girl said lightly. Her voice carried through the room, its melodic tones soothing.

"Sorry hon, no pig on the spit, but there is beef roast and fish, if you'd rather."

"The roast sounds nice. I'll take that, please."

She grinned up at the woman who nodded and walked into the back to prepare the meal.

After several more minutes of watching the two men play music, the young Drow couldn't resist. She skipped up to the stage and bounded on it in a graceful jump. As she landed she began to dance along to the music, her hair flowing behind her like a silver river.

Her eyes shut, she let herself move in time to the music. her lithe figure silhouetted against the wood of the wall. Soon small balls of light in purple danced around with her, giving her performance more body, almost looking professional.

Her dancing was not confined to the stage, and soon she was dancing among the patrons. Her eyes open to make sure that she didn't run into anyone, their green glimmered in the firelight, her smile sincere and full of laughter.

Thank you for the advice. To get my feet wet, so to speak, I've posted in the Bleeding Lute. Just to see how this work a little before I really join a game. I don't want to bog everything down with my newbiness, you know? ^^;

I will look into those other games you mentioned, though. Free form does sound more like what I'm used to, honestly. I do play rules based, but have never played one online/in forums, only ever in table top.

Topic: The Bleeding Lute - Come on in and Play!
Subject: An intriguing form

((OOC: Okay, first gaming post, and I hope I'm doing it right. Using an alt.verse of an old character. Here goes nothing!))

The door the the Bleeding Lute opened, bringing with it the slight form of what seemed to be a child. The girl stepped up to the desk and looked up at Henry, her eyes wide and smiling.

Henry wouldn't say that he was used to seeing Drow, but he had seen them. They weren't regular to The Lute, but they did happen in every so often. He could tell by the silver hair and the gray skin that this child was certainly a Drow, though the eyes threw him off. Spring green eyes and a happy smile to accompany it? That was an odd one. Perhaps a Drow half breed, though the idea was almost laughable. What Drow would deign to mate with one of a different race? The girl appeared to be only nine or ten years of age, and with no bust to speak of it was hard to dispute.

"What can I do for you miss?" he asked. He tried to be a bit more wary, but the girl continued to smile so innocently that he couldn't be bothered to worry about the likes of her.

"I was wondering if there was a chance to stay here tonight?" she asked, her voice melodic and cheerful.

"Of course you can, darling. Are you here with anyone?"

She shook her head solemnly, her green eyes closed. Her silver hair swished back and forth, the braid that ran along the center moving with the rest. Henry could see now that the girls hair easily went down to her calves.

Henry was ready to offer the girl a room for free, but she was almost too well dressed to not have any money on her person. A nice white sleeveless blouse with trimming that faded from red/pink to purple to blue adorned her top and she wore a full length skirt of similar material to her trim.

"Well, it costs five copper a night, you see. Now that includes dinner should you want it."

The girl smiled and pulled a silver piece from Henry didn't even know where, handing it to him gracefully. He took it, mouth barely agape, and handed her a small key on a leather thong. She took it with a smile, said thank you, and glided into the bar room.

She had been hearing the music, and it was making her itch to dance along. With a wide smile she stood just inside the doorway and watched the performers, her eyes alight with happiness.

Um hi. Jing here!

Here's the dealio.

I want to game. Most definitely. But there are a couple problems.

1. I have no clue how to go about gaming here. I've been in RPs before on other avatar sites, like Roliana, and I know how to work those. Would those kinds of RPs be considered free form? How would a rules based RP work in forums?

2. I have limited time that I can be online for this. So unless the entire group was okay with one or two posts a day from me, I doubt I would be able to get into a good game.

Any help for me?

Hello all! You may have already noticed that I'm Jing, the newly appointed artist for Loaded Dice. I'm very happy to say that I quite enjoy the site regardless of my connection to the comic, and hope that I'll be able to meet some new friends here.

I've already talked to a few of you in the chat, and I'm loving it.

Hoo rah!
