Subject: Healing and Cooking
Lorae does a Lay on Hands to help Highnar recover. Next she build a well banked fire in the fire pit, set up a tripod and hung her cooking pot, and she stewed the rabbits with herbs and root vegetables. "I will take a watch in the middle of the night," she announces awaiting the choices of Xuor and Logan.
Once the stew is on she goes to Dancer and gives him a good brushing.

Subject: Easing the Pain
Lorae quickly untacked DEancer and let the Moonsteed go without tying him. Dancer trotted over to the river and laid downin a sand bank and began to roll about in it. Afterward he moved into the river.
Lorae found a fallen log and set her riding pad, upside down of it to air out and dry. Then she moved to Highnar.
"Master Highnar, I see you survived....somewhat, your first day of riding."
She looks to the Dwarf with a smile, "I am able to help you recover from your......ordeal. If you would allow me to do so?"
She was trying to be diplomatic, but with a strange Dwarf, it was hard for her to judge just how to approach the...delicateness of the subject.
"I am sure you have strained muscles that are not used to the action of riding."

Subject: Riding Instructor
Seeing and hearing Logan take on the role of Highnar's riding instructor, Lorae drops back to the drag position. There she has a perfect view of Logan working with Highnar. At times she must contain her mirth as Highnar really tries to follow Logan's instructions. Along with it all she gets a better sense of both these new members, and she liked what she saw.
As she watches Highnar a pang of sadness hits her. There was another Dwarf, strangely enough his name had been Logan, Logan Thunderfist, uncrowned King of Duranhelm. Logan, who, when dying in her arms after the battle with the Dark Lord, had professed a love for her, in his own way.
"Lass, if you were a dwarf, I'd marry you."
Lorae sighs lightly and lets the memory fade. As they move deeping into the forest she lets Dancer keep the the track, while she lets her acute senses flow into the forest about them. The forest was old, even in terms of Elven time. And for now it was at peace.

Subject: Don't Know Him at All
"Never saw him before he rode up and joined us. As far as the horse I have a feeling that it was not his. As I was riding behind him I noticed he was having a great deal of trouble handling the horse. Also the saddle was not fit to him, he was having to stretch for the stirrups. I believe the reason he did not go back for the horse was that returning to Shadowdale with a stolen horse was not a good idea."
"But that is just my observation of the matter."
Lorae leaps to Moon Dancers back and legs him forward. "Shall we go back to Xuor and Brianna on point and the rest of us bringing up the rear?"

"When I was working my way back to the horses, I came across a set of tracks running in a straight line toward Shadowdale. I thin that Roscoe got a case of coldfeet and then hot footed it back to Shadowdale, by the quickest means."

Subject: Dealing with Matters
Lorae Hands out four sacks to others, Xuor, Logan, Hignar, and Sarai. "Gather each of the piles into the seperate sacks and put them into this bag of holding."
She then asks the group to move back and first consecrates the area about the 2 remaining weapons.
"Light let you prescence be known, hallow this are about me."
Then she draws her weapon which immediately glows a rich, vibrant green. For those who are seeing the sword for the first time and without much trouble for Xuor, the sword is made of green wood, with a golden hilt of intwined Dragons, their tails form the cross pieces and the heads come together at the pommel where one head is twisted sideways and the other is upright. Their mouths are open and in their teeth they both clasp a large spherical green gem (the size of a ping pong ball)
"Light, no more shall these weapons kill good folk."
With the she brings down the sword and the is a resounding flash of Light and Dark. For a moment there is nought but silence as if everyone is deaf, then the Darkness is overwhelmed by the Light and sound returns.
Lorae blinks and gives a silent prayer of thanksgiving.

Lorae jumps from Dancer and moved toward the fighting,the green wand in her hand transforms into an elegantly recurved Elven bow with a shimmering green string. She opens herself to detect Evil.
Before reaching the area of fighting she feels a strong Evil off the her right. Slowly she began to change directions cautiously advance on the Evil.

Lorae legs Dancer forward and the big stallion springs into a gallop dodging tress with the great experience of having lived in forests and fields all his life. There is no thud of hooves on the ground as he gallops into the forest on a tangent to the fighting.
She unlimbers her bow and takes up three arrows from one of the two quivers that hang on either side of the front of her saddlepad.

Throughout the morning's ride Loaer will dismount and move off into the forest, while Moon Dancer kept walking along the path. She usually returns in about 10-25 minutes. Other times she dismounts and walks along the path with long ground covering strides.
On passing a bend in the river she suggests a lunch break.

Lorea hearing the warning passed back, passes it on to Roscoe.
The she digs in her pouch and pulls out a bit of bread. she waits until see sees a flock of jay and tosses the bread out under the tree where they had congregated.
She is hoping they will act like other jays. When one grabs the bread the others try to take it and the bread winner tries flying off with its prize drawing the squawking jays along with it.

At the edge of the great Elven Forest, Lorae calls a halt.
"Brianna, I think Xuor would be best teamed with you as a scout, I know forests are not your normal terrain. With Flame's eyes, and Draug's sense of smell, we should be well cover by scouts."
"Logan would you please remain rearguard, and I will spell you every hour."
"I will let you know we already know that there are Drow in the forest, some worst that others. Elminster believes there is at least one opening to Underdark somewhere in the forest close to Ashbenford and the Elves we had contact with soon after we arrived mentioned a particularly nasty group of Drow inhabits Myth Drannor."
"Other than that, since the Exodous of the Elves certain areas of the Forest have gone wild."
