"Both," replies Lorae as the treeline of the Northern edge of the Cormanthyr looms close. "For now silence would be best, least we attract unwanted attention."

"Well said, Roscoe," replied Lorae, "and I meant no insult about being part mule. It is just that I hope no one else heard of it, and talks of it."

"Come ride with me, and if you have any questions I will endeavor to share what I can."

Lorae turns to Xuor and Logan "The same goes for you two, though there will be things I may not answer or tell of. Some things are best kept by those who can protect them. As a scholar of sorts, Roscoe, you must be aware of that."

Lorae turned in her saddle and the sound of the approaching horse, let alone the call for the young man ridden up to them.

She looks him over and takes note of a number of things, quality and condition of himself, his mount and the cat that was peering out of the saddlebag.

Once he rides into the group, after Logan extended an invitation to him, "That is fine,Logan," she replied while cocking her head with a puzzled look.

"What is your name and where do you come from? And besides being a Magic User, would you by chance be part mule?"

A smile lights her face, "Perhaps your hood hides them, it is the only explanation for you hearing conversation not meet for you. Or was it your familiar that heard it for you?"

"Evil has invaded the Elven Forest," Lorae look to Logan just after he mounts. "And we must go through it."

"South to Ashbenford," Lorae calls to Brianna. "We take the short road. Time is of the essence.

Lorae grabs the neck strap and swings up gracefully to land lightly onto the riding pad. She has seen Xuor and off in the distance Logan now riding back to them.

She looks to Brainna, knowing she is puzzled that Shadowbane had allowed someone else to tack him up.

"You'll be amazed what some slices of bacon can do."

"Xuor, have you seen Highnar, the Dwarf, this morning?"

"Good Morning Logan," and as Logan rides up and makes he assessments and statements about their mounts, "All three can run all day." Lorae notices the qualities of the other mounts, "and with aid your mounts could do as well. Draug also looks fit for a good run."

"Both," replies Lorae, dressed in her gray leathers with the sage green embroidery of vines and leaves. She then walks to the door.

Outside stands Lorae's heavily dappled, silver-gray stallion with white mane and tail. He wears only a Elven riding pad and a neck strap. Next to him stands a magnificent giant black stallion, and next to him a beautiful sorrel mare.

"Fresh bread, butter, and some honey, apples and carrots." she tells the Amazon. "Our horses are all saddled."

"Sarai will be joining us later Elminster is not yet done with her bow."

Lorae turned and looks off out of the inn's door. "I would have thought tha he of all of them would have joined us."

She turns to look back to Brianns, "Bearing the burden of The Phophecy, has never been easy."

Lorae pauses looking at Brianna and Flame who is busy helping himself to the breakfast she had ordered for them. A good porridge, bread, fruit, a rasher of bacon, and some hard boiled eggs.

"He is here." her voice is flat and low.

Lorae holds her hands out to each of the group to collect the stones and she slips them back into their bag and puts it into a haversack she wears.

"Tomorrow be ready to leave. Have your mounts well grained, We go hunting these people." On the table she sets a paper. Written in large clear print is, The Cult of the Dragon. "Burn it when you finish reading it."

She waits a moment, looking to Xuor, and then raises and heads back up to Brainna's and her room.

Lorae smiles at the directness of Brianna's choice and her hand goes out selecting the last stone in the line.

"Now set you stones with the short sides top and bottom andefore you turn them over consider this. Some runes can be reversed and will look the same, others will change their meaning when in reversed. There are two ways to turn your stones. If you accept it as it was laid out the turn your stone over from long side to side. If you wish otherwise then flip it top to bottom."

"Logan, will you please start?"

"Lye n' lakwen,"(We don't Joke). She looks to Xuor, "The question is, are you ready?"

Lorae then takes out a set of rune stones and places them blank side up on the table. She sees their attention drawn to the stones. She places them in a line and there are 9 of them they are made of the same color of stone about 2 inched long and 1 1/2 inches wide.

"Each of you please choose a rune. then slide it in front of you, but do not turn it over, yet"

Suddenly there are no sounds coming from those around them, infact nothing outside their area dcan be heard and visa versa.

As the fact dawns on the newcomers, Lorae looks to each. You are here because of the Prophecy, each of you is named in it. The Golden One," she looks to the Dwarf. "The Walker of the Wilds." she looks to Xuor, "and the Scarred One, she looks to Logan."

"You are here to replace those that have fallen in battle in the quest to find the 'Sword of Truth', the weapon named in the Prochecy, that will, in the hands of the Warrioress, destroy the Dark Lord," she finally turns to Brianna.

"We have out Child of the Light," she looks to Flame who has his forelegs gripping the top of the bowl of stew and hs head and upper neck hidden from view inside it."

"I am not sure where our Th...Rogue has gotten to, and we have yet to replace our User of Magics."

"But they will come, for HE is here."

When the Dwarf gives his name, Lorae looks from him to Brainna, and back. Could it be that fate had provided a another to fulfill the Prophecy.

And this Xuor, he had the scars that would fulfill that part of the Prophecy as well. The Light moved in mysterious ways, rebuilding the team that would confront the Dark Lord himself.

"Since when does a Varan Sham go hungry." come a soft voice from beside the group.

Lorae slides into a chair and looks about the table, noting the 3 strangers drinking with Brianna.

She is simply dressed in the same gray outfit as before. but this time she seems to be toned down, at least few of the customers were staring at her.

"Good evening, I have not had the pleasure of hearing your names."

Lorae slipped off Moon Dancer and gave him a pat on the rump, he would take himself off the stable, where she had paid the ostler's daughter to brush him down and feed him.

The others were coming, but behind her. She climbed the steps to the porch and stepped through the open doors. She made not a sound as she did. With the lowering evening sunlight behind her, it was as if she were haloed with light. Someone took notice of the dimmed light and turned from their drink and conversation, a tug on a sleeve and and nudge in the ribs and silence soon reigned.

All that was at first discernible was that the figure was female, very tall and slender, but as Lorae stepped further into the room the hush was from stupification, for she was a Elf.

Silver gold hair frame an eldritch face of such fine sculpture and beauty as to take the breath out of man and woman alike. Her fair skin was blemishless and molded over high cheek bones. Large yellow-gold eyes ringed in dark silver stared out over the crowd, eagle eyes. Eyes that seemed see into a person. or see through thtem.

She was clad in simple gray tunic and pants, embroidered in green, Her well turned legs were clad in knee high gray roughout boots with applique and pierced work. About her shoulders was a green and gray mottled cloak that seem shift its pattern as one looked at it.

At her side hung a long slender sword with an exquisitily wrought golden hilt, and with a large round green stone set in the pommel of a sculpted dragon's claw. The green crystal seemed to be glowing as the light from the door shown through it.

Lorae, unfazed by the looks and the whispering that had begun, crossed the floor and quickly climbed the stairs to her room.
