Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes for a moment, Gerdar focused the will of his revered ancestors into the room in hopes that they'd see something that the living eye could not.

(I would like to Divine Sense this chamber.)

"Well the worked stone has brought us to a dead end, and quite a nasty one at that. Anything in there that I'm not seeing?", Gerdar looked at the investigators, gripping his greataxe in preparation for an unexpected twist should one appear.

Seeing the enemies take cover from the ranged assault, Legion stowed his longbow and rushed closer, drawing his hortswords instead.

"Well the right path certainly looks more refined. Though since we're dealing with goblinoids I doubt they'd really care - so there could be anything at the left path too", Gerdar once again ran his ginrers through his beard as he pondered, "Unless anyone has seen a clue that I've not, shall we just flip a coin?"

Stone Motherhecking Cunning?

"Well this is unexpected, but I suppose terminating orcs could go well along with the mission", Legion pulls out his bow and shoots at whichever orc looks biggest/strongest.

Well mission does take priority but he is able to do other stuff, just votes against it. If the others vote for it he'll join in unless he has a reason not to (which currently he does not have).

And if the king has no missions he's probably just either walk off to find someone who has use for him or follow the group in hopes they'd lead him to such person (or even become such people), while also hoping to find out why he even woke up. The time after he spent in a dormant state after the war was because the people who made him told him to so it wasn't like "no one has a purpose for me so guess I'll just sleep".

Also as I stated in Blacktooth Q&A, I'll be off sun-tue in case someone would wonder.

Gerdar probably wouldn't have a way to bring the entire bodies back (there were several of them and he only has 2 hands) so just dumping them back into the river after taking their ears & loot. And I'd assume I've officially returned to the group and am indeed in the cave with them?

Also fyi I'll be off from sunday to sometime tuesday at least.

Legion's current orders are to retrieve the potion, dealing with roadside banditry is not what he should be doing. If the king wanted to be rid of bandits he would have said so. So 1 vote for continuing forward, current objective takes priority for a warforged.

"I suppose I'd go look for the bodies that drifted downstream while we wait for this sword bond then", Gerdar began to follow the river, keeping an eye on dead goblins, "Don't go burning them before I come back, I might be bringing more fuel for the fire."

(Just searching until roughly half of the hour has passed then coming back and if I find goblins taking as many as I can with me.)

"Conditions aside it is nice to meet you mister Kaine", the dwarf nodded and ran his shiny fingers through his beard, "I am Sir Gerdar of Clan Cordorehk, third of my name. Here to purge my clan's old lands from these and possibly other pests."

He took a quick look at the loot as it had been gathered and gestured at the goblin spears: "Does anyone mind if I make use of these as javelins?"

"I am ready to head out as soon as the rest are. Though I still would like to requisition arrows, I doubt the orcs will be shooting themselves."

Cursing in dwarvish as he watched the goblins flee, Gerdar eventually came to Hornet: "How, pray tell, did you people get into so much trouble last time you tried this? Were they not running away back then? Were I just unlucky to not appear what, fifteen minutes earlier?"

That moment when food is life but you literally can't eat

"Very well your highness", the warforged tilted his head to a little bow, "As for my equipment, I would request for as much arrows as your highness can provide me for the purpose of exterminating these non-drows, these orcs. Possibly a fur coat, I am not sure what my unit's limit for operating in low temperature is... Food I do not need, not only is is unneccessary for me but I am also physically incapable of ingesting the things flesh creatures nourish themselves with."

"And what do you think my late great-grandfather, may his lordship rest in peace, would say", Gerdar looked at Lily as he moved down another goblin, "if he heard I left alive a goblin that ran straight at me as if asking to be split in half?"

"Your Highness, I am an autonomous combatant unit called 'Legion'. Artifice Master Alaririan built me to counter the former threat of the below-dwelling filth and their affiliates, and rude it may be I would like to inquire if this... potion retrieval is the only thing Your Highness requires my services for?"

To clarify, he propably would have gained his levels mostly during the war before being stored away when it ended.

And yeah once a week sounds good, I personally wouldn't mind even more most weeks. Next week is an exception tho cuz I have plans.

At first, there had been nothing but darkness as Legion had started to regain consciousness. He had no knowledge of how long he'd been at rest as the closet he had stood in had no windows to keep track of daylight through; though from the thick dust that had gathered within his chamber and on his metallic skin he gathered it had been a long time since Artifice Master Irowandar had told him to slumber until he'd feel the urge to awaken. They had propably hoped that his awakening would be an omen of a new onslaught of below-dwellers, but as he's returned to full consciousness and left the dark closet he soon found out that the drow were in fact not attacking.

Unsure of what to do with him now that he wasn't slumbering in his closet anymore, the elves had sent him out into the world to look for people who could have use for the skills of a relic from the great war. After helping farmers with puny pest problems he had found his way to the big city, hoping to find something more suited for his capabilities.

After passing through the gates as the guards gave him curious and slightly confused looks, the warforged noticed the billboard. "A king might actually have a proper use for me", he thought while he read the large notice, heading for the castle.

"By my ancestors, I never thought goblins were smart but I didn't know they'd be stupid enough to deliberately run into my axe!", Gerdar chuckled as he moved towards the next target, "Let them come! Let them all come!"

(If I can get into range of whatever enemy is closest I wanna chop-a-gob.)
