Agh!

Jumping out of the way, Fyet stares at the eyes in the shadow.

"Aye, I see you now. Sorry I missed you the first look around. Didn't see you in the shadows there. Your hunt successful too I presume?"

The World of Shadows where Tear Lies

"It did indeed," Tear murmurs, before glancing about toward the others, "And I'll presume we're all satisfied?"

Despite the softness of Tear's voice, it can still be heard by everyone. Seeing as how the male is still tense, Tear turns her head back toward him.

"Don't worry too much about it," Tear says gently, "When you come to know me, you'll come to know that I can be in any shadow."

Ummm...

Shard backed away a few steps. "Ummm.... I have to ummm.... Hey Fyet get over here!" She said and bounded off into the bushes.

Even thoguh she knew the shadow cat was good, it was still a freaky power.

Okay

Eika didn't react as the others had. Sure, Tear had a strange gift. But then again, they all did too. She walked over to where Tear's eyes were glowing and sat down.

Not quite solace

Tear stretches in the shadow, lying flat on the ground.

"I suppose we'll have to wait for those two to recover." Tear murmurs.

Tear closes her eyes, now almost completely disappeared within the shadow, and waits, letting her body and mind relax. Not quite sleep, but something in between sleep and meditation.

Well... I guess I'll follow.

"Little one has much energy. What could she want?" Bounding in after her, Fyet walks over to find out what Shard wants to talk to him about.

Heheheheh!

"Is it just me, or is Tear scary?" Shard asked him, blue eyes wide. She shifted her weight alittle and crouched down.

Scary?

Fyet blinked. This wasn't exactly what he had been expecting. How best to answer this... "Little one, let me say it how I say it, for you to interpret as you will. Tear is not scary in the sense of the word, however behaviours of certain cats - such as Tear simply appearing there - can seem odd to those unable to perform those acts themselves. For instance... stand back a bit."

Fyet, once sure that he has enough room, closes his eyes, feeling his body creak, and bones extend, and teeth grow. His hair was getting longer too. He was constantly growing, until he had reached a size where Shard could sit on his head and still have plenty of room. Breathing deeper than before, he opened his eyes. In the place of the one, medium sized cat which had been there before, there was now a saber toothed tiger, long thought to be extinct. Clearing his throat, Fyet speaks again, though this time, his voice is deeper, and different sounding, due to the long teeth protruding from his mouth.

"You ssshee little one, no' all thingsssh are ssshcary if you know wha' they rearry are. I am sshtill Fyet, jus' in a differen' form. Now, one ssshhecond."

Fyet repeats the process, though in reverse, returning to his normal cat body. "So I don't think that tear is scary. I merely think she has a respectable power, which I am glad is on our side. Do you understand what I am trying to say?"

NIPAH!

"I do. And I'm saying that it's a freaky power." Shard said.

She looked at the grass and it withered, the water drained. It formed a ball in the air and exploding, showering both of them in water.

I'm wet?

ROAR!
Fyet's roar echoed across the forest, causing animals to run, and birds to fly. The roar seemed as though it suited to his previous form. Eyes becoming vertical slits, he rounds on Shard with ferocity not suiting him. His claws extend to the size of human daggers. Taking a few steps to close the distance, and bringing his paw up, as though to strike. His eyes then return to normal, and he seems to gain consciousness. Looking down at Shard, then his claws, he steps back, his mouth open. "I... I'm... I don't... please don't get me wet. I hate water. Please, do your best to not get me wet. You may put yourself in danger. Luckily, that was only a small amount of water. I... again, I'm sorry."

OMG!

Her eyes were open and she was trembling. "F-F-Fyet!" She said, shaking in fear.

Shard cowered close to the ground and tried to hide.

Uh-oh...

"Shard... Shard I... That's not me... it's... no!" With a small purr, Fyet runs off into the forest, leaving a path of destruction in his wake, with snapped branches, trampled undergrowth, and heavy, shrinking footprints.

EEP!

She didn't move. Shard compressed her body into water and seeped into the ground.

Conflict within causes the death of the star

Tear's ears twitch at the sound of Fyet's roar, snapping her out of her meditative trance.

Tear sighs, "Oh dear. A conflict within the crystal causes it to shatter. If the crystal is to survive, the crack must be mended, as soon as is possible."

Tear walks forward, into the clearing made by Fyet's uncontrolled transformation. Looking to the side, she sees the position of where Shard stood, noticing the wet ground.

"I see." Tear murmurs, piecing together the circumstances.

"Fear leads to problems when it is within the whole, for it too causes cracks." Tear murmurs. She quickly turns toward the foliage and disappears into the shadows.

In the shadow world, time doesn't exist, so Tear leaps forward, looking through the doors to reality that are the shadows, before finding the door she desires.

"I will not ask what happened, nor will I make an assumption." Tear says aloud, "But in order for the whole to heal, everyone should be gathered. Everyone does include you, does it not, Fyet?"

Perhaps my last post was misinterpreted... oh well, it works.

Staring up at Tear is not a cat, but a small, delicate, gopher. It's hair still orange, like Fyet's, he looks up at her. "I'm a monster. I... I can't control it when there's water... I..." Fyet darts underneath the roots of a tree, his new form easily fitting through them.
