Yo, wait, Ulthok has "Knock" ready. It opens secret doors and boxes. If he casts it on the stand and it is a secret holding box it should open. But someone has to examine the stand and determine it could be a "box" holding the sword.
You can't just cast the spell in an area and hope something opens. Ulthok is casting it on the stand. If the stand is not a container as the cleaver theif suspects then nothing happens.
Someone can yell "wait" and then cast a seeing spell if they doubt the "Thief".

True Sirene, veruy truely spoken and thought out. after all how often do naked men pop oout of nowhere in the midst of and fundamental battle between light and dark. AThat is more than a little ccause to suspect something is "not right".
How could one possibley believe thatthis man is our one and only Maggot--even if he says he is. We were taken in by Alasdair and will not be so quick to believe that this stranger how is half maggot age is our friend of old. This transformational return from the dead is and should cause us to susspect another trick..
I liked your post Bri. Given what happened with Alasdair, I think many of our characters would naturally mistrust Maggot.
I didn't so say IC, but the other reason for resting now is to restock on all our spells (both clerical and arcane). We can still do a cursory search for the sword, but I wouln't want to head anywhere else in case we get into another fight.

You’ll notice that some magical items are missing, to speed things along once both parties merge I allowed them to pick what they wanted from the available items, both magical and non-magical. As you all can see from the way I introduced them into the game they are pretty much coming in with nothing, The giants having taken it all. What’s posted above is what’s left to chose from or to sell if you ever make it back to some type of civilization.

But, given that he has, it would be useful to know what spells are in Haila's spellbook. I also stated some time before, that I think all the spell-slingers should get together and swap some spells (Maggot, Ulthok and Sirene). Sirene, in particular, has a lot of spells she can teach others. Of course, she might not want to teach any to Maggot in character, but this is purely an ooc observation.
