Well...

Usually "not my type" doesn't mean "I'm scared you'd crush me if we... hugged."

Yeah let's talk about something else.

About the knife..

I'm going to say it would probably be a better idea for Valene to cut his bonds since she already has access to some small knives. She's probably a lot better at palming them and keeping them hidden too.

Wow...

I didn't expect so quick an update, and was thinking the kitty had chosen Cor after all with the way it had padded up to the dwarf!

Only one thing to say though: teleport.

And one more thing...

Do Bri, Keeper and Kyle want any of the magical items for their characters?

I'm assuming not since there's been no comment either way, but I don't want Sirene to take anything that someone else might want.

Time spent in the Mountain

I've been trying to calculate how long we may have been in the mountain, now that we know that time has been running faster than we all thought.

There's a 'filler' post Tann did on page 157 that reveals it's been 2 years since the original group left on the quest and 'almost six months since the last sighting'.

I don't think we've spent more than 24 hours since then, so 7 months would be the upper estimate (and maybe a couple of months less for Sirene and Maggot who entered later).

Teleport I believe was already tried earlier in the mountain and found not to work due to the nature of the magic surrounding it.

Timeframe well I could be off by a day or two but with as many rests the party has taken, at least one after every test, it's quite possible that they truly have been within the mountain for 9-10 days. And if not then just chalk it up to me taking a few `liberties` to move the storyline along.

As for the magical Items I will send out an Email reminder tonight to all and talk to Keeper and Maggot by phone to see what's up.

items

Unless the obsidion panther is useable Cor has no interest in the items from the fallen. However we might want to wait until they have had a chance to be raised (or not) before taking anything other than custodianship of their items.

Wow...........

So quickly I'm behind. Looks like our new player have really spun life into the story. Sorry gang, it's was my turn to have a work week that just sucked the time away.

I'll get my spells to you Tann as quick as I can. Should be by Friday night.

As for escaping I'd say let's go out the main door and fight through the slugs. We know they are there and that at least gives us a fighting chance. If Tann doesn't have a hidden portal we can find then we fight our out the way we came.

Back reading should refresh memories of what things are still there.

Ok to speed things along

Haila, Cynil, and Conall are unraisable. Haila is in two pieces, Cynil is just a husk of dried skin and Conall's life essance or soul has been totally destroyed.

Bury them, cremate them or leave what's left behind, but don't waste time trying to bring them back, let's just move on.

Also Keeper reread the list, there is no obsidion panther.

Hmm...

Back reading I think is a good thing to do, I've forgotten much of what was outside the pyramid.

We know that we can't raise Haila, Connall and Cynil (both because there's no new players for the characters, and because Connall and Cynil have had their life essence consumed/trapped).

Sirene is not intending to leave the bodies though. Both because she thinks they deserve to be buried in the green earth, and because she doesn't want them to start having an unlife (as we saw with Divot).

Oh...

And we should make sure we loot anything that isn't bolted down on our way back (I don't see too many posts of characters taking time to loot in previous rooms).

Spells / items

The spells listed are the ones I will stick with, call it my underground package.

As for the items, as I am new to the group (some what) I think I will let my companions offer up what they feel would help me better help the group. This attitude will not continue. Also items from the fallen companions, what is not taken by others or are deemed consumable will be hauled out will our fallen. It is my intentions to lay them to rest with there things with them.

Strange, I have a need to look harshly upon any who would take the armor or weapons of a fallen companion. And I am looked upon with disgust.

(OOC: Sorry, Maggot can be a bit of a flake at times but with a little bate and switch, he can be fooled. Speak with Cor, I feel he has dealt with this kind befor.)

They're dead Jim...

If you want something, just say and take it. Asking for others to point out to Maggot what they think he should have is a bit weird.

I don't think we need to inter the rest of the items with the dead. Firstly, we're already storing away the items that Ayreon, Lothor and Valene are going to make use of (purely an ooc observation). In character, Sirene would simply comment that the dead, whose souls have moved on, have no need for their treasures in this world. They'll just end up being looted by an orc (or a hill giant).

Any items we don't want, we should sell and divide the proceeds. We can keep some of that money earned for the families of those who died, if they can ever be tracked down and Maggot feels some sense of guilt.
