The ring or my blade

Yes, he would have the ring or he will have my blade. My post will hold until I hear the ring is placed where we think it should have been placed.

To the winter born.

Not Looting....

Tann had been checking on some past things and came across that this should have been listed in our bag of holding.

With Barreel going out and Schnozzle getting ready to bring in character it was one of those "what ever happened too" things.

So good for our side.

As for looting, it seems we won't have much time to escape the room so if you want to quick a body next you, glancing at rings or broaches that's fine but no time to determine their value yet. We need to decide quick and run for the North door.

If you remember there were two other doors on either side of hall. We can check one of them or head back the way we came to the intersection. There we either turn right and head down that hall or charge straight to the next intersection. The star was where we were before going down to the room at the end of the hall we are in. So think about choices.

In The Hall.........

Once in the hall Ulthok will start to come back to the reality that the party must finish the mission and rescue the good dragon queen and destroy this floating castle.

He'll bag the things he took off the Gith bodies and pull out the ring for Lothor. Someone needs to slip Sirene a potion to heal her and anyone else needing healing should get it.

Now do we go through a door (if so which door, left or right?), run down the hall and take the first left or go straight to the next hall? If the last choice do we go left, right or straight?

When we pick then Sir will have Cor give us that direction. If noone responds then Sir will chooses and we follow what he has Cor tell us.

We will be battling very often so each choice will lead to danger, we can only hope we get closer to our goal.

East?

We went right down the south door right? My second thought was to go East, but many of you wanted to go West. So, do we still want to go West? Ducking through one of those doors wouldn't be a bad idea.

What Did He Find????

Tann, you have to let us know what Ulthok found. Ulthok's unusual treasure hunt was a desperate attempt to find something that might lead him to Valene later.

LOL Ody Ody Ody

You forget young Padawan I'm the DM I tell you nothing.

So you picked up a ring or two maybe a necklace, maybe something else. Have you taken a good look in your haste, I think not.

Plus first you need to cast Detect Magic then if magic is detected, Identify. Do you have time to do so, I don't know you tell me, check the spell.

Oh Honorable DM..........

I knew you wouldn't tell what Ulthok got as to what it might do. What I needed was what he got and how many.

Of course we need to still do detect on them, but they are more for something Ulthok would use for clues to follow Valene. "The Rescue of Valene", but that's another story.

excerpt from my last post...

so i had this in my last post but chose to take it out because i deemed it to much inner monologue and adding it wouldn't further the story any. but i still wanted to share it cause its cute.

Absentmindedly she stroked the signet ring, which held the dijin Xin. his voice soothing and barratone rummbled into her mind.

"mistress, how may i assist you?"

Alyia smiled and leaned her head back against the wall.

"Xin, tell me something to lift my mood from this pit of woe and dispair." she mentaly projected to him. Alyia knew this was a waste of his talent and vast knowledge, but she also knew that Djin reveled in their ablity to story tell.

"ah, may hap the story of the tortis befits you. "

Alyia closed her eyes and listened to Xins rummblings.

"one day when tortis was still young, he had spent the day as many such before in the same routine an eating the same things. walking back to the spot in which he sunned himself in the afternoon he spotted a ripe peach on a low hanging branch but still yet far out of his reach. so tortis tried his might to get the peach, he tried moving rocks and branches to stand on an yet he could not reach. he tried throwing rocks at the branch hopping to knock the peach down but to no avail. and he tried climbing the tree but it proved to be impossible. finally as the light began to wain he piled up everything in a giant heap and clambered up on to it. the pile was rickety and the higher he climbed the more it began to shift. yet all the turtle could see was himself gorging on the ripe juicy peach so he pressed on. an at the top as he reached to pick the peach the pile slid and snapping his jaws closed on air he fell. sliding down the pile head over heels he came to an abrupt stop at the bottom scratched, bruised and squarely on his back. for the first while the tortis was to disheartened to try to move, his wounded pride and was so crestfallen he lay their and wept to himself bemoaning his loss. as the moon rose and the sounds of the night began to surround him he came to realized the new plight he was in. if some predator came alone he was a easy meal. so the tortis began to try and right himself. stretching his limbs and neck out, rocking back and forth. soon his struggles began to wind him and weary an one more disheartened he again cried to himself. woe is me and sobs continued till the sun was once more up in the sky. and with the heat of the day the tortis began to get thirsty. he once more realized his plight had became more dire. now if he didn't right himself and reach water he would surely parish. he tried with all of his might and will to right himself. an just when he was about to give in to disparage and exhaustion. he did it! he managed to right himself. he was so exhilarated he forgot about the peach and went to find something to quench his now parched throat. an since every time he went past the peach tree he remembered that no mater what situation you get into or find yourself in, giving in to woe and dispair will only cause you to put yourself inparrel needlessly. an that no matter the struggle if you don't try their will only be one out come, to fail. Oh, and the tortis did get his peach in the end. beings he made a daily trip past the tree everyday several days later he noted that the peach had fallen to the ground ripe and dripping with juice. so he ate it gladly bruise and all."

Xin's voice was soothing like a rippling brook and energy and pride only added to the inflection of his voice.

"thanks." Alyia thought. "you always know the best stories to cheer me up."

(edited out of when Alyia had her eyes shut.)

He's Not The only One.....

That was great. It gives depth of character to Aliya and a great intro to Xin. I've been trying to keep Peri worked in so she can be a help to the party.

Oh yeah, you just keep this up!!!!!

Chiming in

I like it too! :-) We're all telling the same story but with different angles for each character. If you think it's important to Alyia, it's important to the story.

So......................

We are now back at the intersection at the star so which way?

Right down the hall, straight to the next intersection or back to door?

Star

No opinion here. Any quick links to relevant posts would be appreciated though. There's a star in the room?
