No Spells.................
So this time after death Ulthok has no spells, right?
Does Ulthok know that he has no spells ready?

Had To Ask......
It would effect Ulthok's actions to know or not know if his spells were gone. It is either don't bother to cast a spell or cast a spell and nothing happens.
So I guess that the magic users can "feel" the magic so they know if it is there?
Now I can write something.
Been getting ready to play a 5.0 game online using Roll 20.
Built a half Orc barbarian.

5.0
Not here. It is our tabletop group. We are going to try playing live on Roll20.
https://roll20.net/
I have not tried it yet so I can't say if it is any good or not.

@Schnozzle: So Tann was the solution I put forth on the previous page any different from the one Ody posted in game? Honestly in that regard I'm having a blonde moment as I'm going by the picture in the trap guide of the correct positioning. Sorry.
1)@Ody: There was no turning. You placed the disk in the position you thought was correct.
2) So I guess that the magic users can "feel" the magic so they know if it is there? yes

What position was the goldfish in for the answer that killed Ulthok? Straight up or facing left?

?
Well would have figured that Tann refered back to me Q&A post for the positioning that Ulthok used. It should have looked like this:
But it doesn't matter we need to move on and either have someone else activate the door or do something else.
Besides the door there is something else a foot with the forest going silent.

Open the door
If we open the door we need another volunteer. Can we have someone who doesn't cast spells step forward? That way if we have to do a revival we don't have to worry about replenishing spells.

HHmmmm
Still wondering if we have circled the tower and looked for other options?
I think we should try other options before doing something that seems extremely likely to result in a death. Try the door, try to turn the hinges to mud.
Lothor has already posted that he is on guard and watching the woods, but the silence is deafening.
As for another guinea pig, Lothor is not at all desiring to do so. He has a history of not loving magic and this would not appeal. But he would do it. He understands the role of the meat shield and the non-spell caster.
Also, Ulthok not having spells is a big problem. Maybe not right now (silent forest, anyone?) but going into the tower down a spellcaster seems like a dubious option. Is going back into the woods to camp for the night an option? Perhaps after waiting to see what the silence is all about?
If you need Lothor to stink his finger in the hole, speak up. He wouldn't do it without the brains of the party encouraging him.

Problem
"Cor looked at the lock for only a few moments before speaking. "Here is my input on the code. Goldfish moved 6 spaces counter clockwise (cc) on each row. Crab faces straight down as it moves 1 space cc each row. Whale faces left as it moves 3 spaces cc each row. Eel faces left as it moves 5 spaces cc each row."
This is the solution posted by Cor and later Ulthok. I don't think the problem is the whale - it is the goldfish. The goldfish is the only one that doesn't state its facing. It needs to completely do an about face. By my math that is FOUR spaces, not 6.

Goldfish
Just mis-typed it. But the goldfish should indeed move 4 spaces and that was the pattern actually posted. Still waiting for GM to verify the pattern posted in Q/A and the one checked in game were the same and wrong.
Other than that no idea on the answer. We can scout but something tells me that there is no "easy" way in if this lock exists.

1 pic wrong
The pic above is correct except for 1 disk again.
I will give you all a hint: The goldfish and crab are correct.
Also as no has stepped up to take the risk there will be no post tonight.
