There Were Ten........
Here's what I found on page 1.
The ten Valor who were corrupted became known as the "Ten Who Were Taken" or simply "Shadow-Wraiths".
So it looks like for that there were ten.
Tann later changed the reference to Sword Waiths.
Also itsaid, "With the loss of Karza and the dragon, the Army of Darkness wavered and the forces of good began a rout. The wizards cast a magical slumber upon the Shadow-Wraiths and banished Sadist to limbo."
So if this is where they slumber it should be a lot newer seeing that the battle just ended.

Words and more words
"Woe and death before you lay
Center path straight night and day
Sweet music of death the price we'll pay
Priceless blades of destruction
At the place of power lay
Evil Red Eye Glorious..."
Ok, what about the "evil eye"?
My first reading on this was that it refers to the cyclops that guards the tower - after all, eye is singular. But what of the bigger story? Obviously this story has numerous LOR parallels, but it is not a direct copy of that story. Is the big bad guy symbolized by an evil eye like Sauron? Might a magical cyclops just be a symbol (or physical manifestation) of that greater evil? This place isn't far from his home, after all.
But the timing is odd - he was just defeated. As Ody noted, these stone boxes are not new. Then again, this tower seems odd in terms of space, why not time? Magic does that sort of crap.
Any thoughts on "music?" This doesn't seem like the home of sirens.
Were there any other blades of note in the story?
But whatever the answers to these questions, it would seem we start by examining the boxes and going from there. Plus, I would really like to see if there is some sort of illusion on the hallway. An hour???
*edit* - One additional thought. Allanon sent us here, didn't he? Assuming he is who he claims to be, then if anyone would know about that sword or those wraiths, I would think it would be him. Would he send us to this location if this is where they were hidden? Certainly he would know about it - and he claimed to have to investigate to get information on the tower's existence.

Damn Tann
"Though I will admit some of what your saying is pleasant to read."
What does that mean? Does it mean I am on the right track? Or that you are happy to see me with so many questions? Or that it is funny to see us so far off base? Or just that it is a day to be good on?
You are as duplicitous as Sauron!

Being A Gamer....
..... Tann just loves it when the players really start to think seriously about the game and don't just play reactions.
This is great stuff for thought. Really good questions too.
There are answers if we ask the right questions and check our facts. It helps us in not walking so blindly into danger, but it doesn't stop us.
I'll have to check on what spell is used to check illusion.

This post is brought to you by the number 10
So, here's a good idea - read the GMs posts carefully. I'm not sure where my brain pulled the number 7 from, but there are, in fact, 10 giant stone (?) boxes in front of us. 10. That numbers sounds familiar.

Oh dear...
I'm thinking you might be right about these holding the wraiths. Perhaps this is the home of the swords? It's all too well packaged. We need to spends sometime studying this room. I'll have a post up soon.

My mother was in a car accident Thursday and has been in the ICU since. She's 91 and lives alone so we'll need to set up care once she's out. I have to go out of town Tuesday and Wednesday for work so I'll be real busy trying handle everything.
Please proceed without me, I'll try to keep up reading but no promise on the posts.

Odyson: Hope your mom feels better very soon. Take good care of her; RL gets top priority.
All: Reading the recap brought back many memories, some forgotten. Wit a game this long running it is hard to believe we still have some original characters left. Some ave been played by various people. I am once again playing the character I created initially. Can't believe Tann actually let me run a possessed, evil Cor. Such fun.
