Well we aren't away yet but thinking ahead I asked Tann to post the new world map. If we live to get away we need a plan to get to Cirath Ungol. With all the spies and such we could talk of returning to Cragen Core for help but really head a different way to avoid another ambush. Got a lot to think about and a bunch of back reading to do.

say whaa? Ok highly confused here Ody are you asking for a whole new world map? I mean one showing all nations like on the first page?

Ok so I talked to Tann about the map because I wanted to know if it was between us and Cirus Ungol.

The big hole is to the northand isn't in our way.

I sctually disagree that the forge is no longer an option.  if we don't go to the Forge it means we go to . . . Cirus Ungol.  One does not simply walk into Cirus Ungol.  Do you really think that will be easier than 3 mind flayers, 4 ogres and a few Derro?  I don't.  Lothor doesn't consider himself the brains of the operation so he will follow the adivce of others in most things, but tactically this seems odd to him.  

I also want to reread the stuff on the forge - do we really need the dwarven mages for this?  

But it seems we retreat - I'll post for Lothor in a minute with info about shooting at the flayers. I'll probably try to hit two of them - maybe the injuries, assuming success, will disrupt whatever they are doing.  Aim at the biggie?  Maybe.  

I do think we still need to figure out where we want to flee to.  What sort of space?  Or now, I guess, it is just out of the entire place.  If Lothor is shooting, someone else will need to grab Sirene.  I would suggest it NOT be Ulthok.  We need him able to cast spells.

Well if we get more information that keeps the forge an option well then we can reconcider.

I don't try to force anyone, I just call it as I see it. We have overcome tough odds before.

The Forge is a gamble as to whether or not it will actually work.  The idea was to try it as it was easier than the other option.  Now it does not appear that way so might as well go to the place we know will work

 

I am more than willing to go with the group.  I'm just putting options out there.  Lets see what happens when we try to flee.  I'd really like to ge tthat brainwahsed dwarf out as well.

Alright!  Moving on.

Tann - Lothor covered his eyes for the blast, but took up the rear guard as he fled the room.  Any chance he saw the after effects of the sunburst and arrows on his way out of the room?  That would also include any information that might be available about how blinded everyone is - and thus how quickly pursuit might follow.

To the group - The choice is - do we follow this dwarf.  I say yes.  I still think the forge is our best bet.  Is there anyway to know if this one is also in the grip of the mind flayers?

Well I say if the dwarf tries to kill us then it's safe to say he's brainwashed by a Mind Flayer haha.

I say we follow the dwarf until we're away from the Derro, ogres and Mind Flayers. I don't 100% trust the dwarf, though. For all we know, he could be lying about being in the king's guard and could actually be working for or under the thrall of, the Mind Flayers.
Shame we don't have a truth spell...

Cor would be cautious but as a player I think we need to follow our new player's character.
