SHUT UP!!!!

"Did Cain wake you up???" She mimicked in an annoying, high-pitched voice, rubbing her eyes. "No, the sun woke me up with a big fat kiss. WHO DO YOU THINK WOKE ME UP?"

Cain shrugged, "She hates mornings."

Oh really?

"Oh does she? I hadn't noticed."

Faroak looked at Kari-Bliss and frowned.

"I'm not doing so good this morning either. I fell out of a tree and bruised up half of my chest and then your irritating shrieks made me hit my head on the wall. All you did was get up early. If you had it my way you'd be on the ground knocked out or crying."

Faroak walked to the schools door and on his way in he muttered loudly, "Cain woke me up... ahoohoohoo..."

Gahh

Kari-Bliss yawned and followed lazily, stumbling, "Well I'm so sorry I can't always be Miss Peppy happy... But I guess I should cheer up before Bran gets here," She yawned again.

Cain chuckled and followed, scowling at his name

ha

Bran had of course heard her outbursts from just on the other side as he had just managed to reach the main entrance, and from the sound of things no one was having a very good morning so far, and he was expecting that the day would only get worse as it dragged on.

Stepping out into the hazy light of dawn he spoke, softly, showing signs of being short of breath again, "No need to cheer up or put on a fake smile for my sake, its not like I had any better a night or morning myself." He shrugged his usual shrug, his response to most of the people around here and again chose not to acknowledge Cain's disapproving glares.

No problem!

"No!" Kari-Bliss instantly stumbled over and hugged him loosely around the shoulders, "I Like being known for my cheeriness! After all, we're gonna need it now."

She stepped back, ignoring the hole Cain's gaze was burning into the back of her head, then smiled brightly at them all. "Well... We off?"

meh

Bran shrugged again, and was caught so off guard by the sudden hug that he almost lost his balance and fell. He quickly caught himself with his cane, hoping no one would notice and quickly readjusted his coat and check to make sure his book and everything else was still in the right places. He said or did nothing to acknowledge the hug itself, or the even more intense glares being shot his way. Instead he just trudged on, his cane making a dull thud against the path they followed.

Worries

Kari-Bliss took the spot leading them, humming softly to herself as they walked. Inside, she was finally realizing just how much she was going to hurt them when she tired to use her magic and passed out.

"Hey, you guys.... You guys know I can't use magic, right?"

"Well..."

Faroak turns around to Kari-Bliss and keeps walking backwards.

"Well, maybe you won't have to use your magic or powers. Hopefully this mission isn't that dangerous."

Faroak turns back around and walks forward again.

He knew he shouldn't give her false hope but he didn't know what to else to say. He knew how wrong he was.

Confession time

"I'm not an idiot, I knwo we're going to have to fight," She bowed her head, clearly embarassed, "But even if I could use my Shatter power.... I can't kill anyone. i've enevr been able to hurt something intentionally."

Irritated

Faroak winced when he heard "idiot". He was already getting irritated by her pesomistic attitude. For now he would try to contain it but it would come out eventually.

He could understand her eluctance to fight but the attitude wouldn't help them one bit so for now he just said:

"Then don't come."

He didn't want to say it but he didn't want her to do something she would hate. He figured since she was discouraging herself it was hopeless for him to try anymore. He was already sick of it.

Fine then

Kari-Bliss scowled at him and stopped walking, her brother nearly running into her. She stepped over to Faroak and glared up at him, her face flushing darkly.

"I didn't choose this, and I've already said I don't want to come. You don't want me there? Fine."

And with that, she side-stepped him and hurried away, vanishing around a corner. angry tears had already welled up, but she refused to cry like a child,a nd wiped them away furiously, heading for the tiny house she and Cain lived at.

Cain sighed, but didn't go chasing after her; just shook his head and started walking again, leaving the others behind.

Well that was quick

This whole thing was falling apart faster than Bran had ever thought it would. Part of him said to just let her go, but she had been the only person to ever treat him like an equal and not a sick charity case, so he had to go after her. He knew though that he would never be able to catch her on foot and so he drove his cane forcefully into the ground, leaving it there as he shifted into his favored form for travel and scouting, that of a crow, and took off in the direction she had run, not bothering to say a word to either of the others.

Should I?

Faorak felt bad about what he said and wanted to make it right. He was just so conflicted. He watched bran as he trasformed and started to follow him. he knew he wouldn't be able to catch up to him so transformed into a cat and ran after Bran, being careful Bran didn't see him. He traced brans movements behind buildings, over rooftops, thorough buhes and more.

Great...

Cain muttered something to himself and just sighed, deciding they would either catch her or not, but there was no reason he shouldn't go.
---
Kari-Bliss pushed open the front door of her house and walked in, curling up on the couch around one of the pillows. She sniffed, putting her head down on her knees. They'll be better off without me.

caw

Bran had found it relatively easy to catch up to her and keep up while flying. When she ran into her home he flew in after her, and perched on the back of the couch, cocked his birdy head to the side and let out a low caw to get her attention.
