Oops...

...totally overlooked the Marine, thing. Must've had my head in Cerberus' roster.

Marines?

Ok, I'll shift troop image. Got that Marine thing info at the web site in the Courses. Also just used the "British Navy" concept and thay always seemed to have a "Marine" force on board. Looks like a bit more research to keep it real.

Heh

No worries.

Starfleet warships often/usually have marines. Discovery is not a warship. She has a significant complement of civilians, for instance.

Also, for the record, I love reading the heavy accent. I'd rather you kept it and, if necessary, gave a "universal translator" version for unclear spots in the q&a.

Or, you know, let people use the q&a to ask questions if they don't understand something.

Accent...........

Yes, keep it, I'll just pay closer attention. It my error of rushing my post to catch up.

It's rainy out, so I may have more time inside to pull more of this together. There was plenty of info, I just did't organize it for my best use.

It won't take much now to know where to go to find the right stuff.

Bodies floating in space, did anyone notice if they are our folk?

We should have something from Engineering on an ACTUAL hull breach so I don't send Securtiy in to have them sucked off the ship.

Bodies

Only our ops officer has noticed the floating bodies.

Containment fields are in place at the breach affected decks - security personnel should be safe (provided there is not another direct hit to an already breached deck).

Tier.....

Sending Tier to 24 was because of Engineering background, he can also help keep Life support going and be close if the need him to help on the engine. If Roger wanting to run with him I'm good with it.

Bodies

Re-read the last paragraph of my most recent post for info on bodies. The bodies are ours, the people sucked out the hull breach before the emergency containment fields went up and the people caught outside its range of protection.

Also, according to info I was given, Life Support is on 11, not 24. Might be my mixup, though, I dunno.

Life support

Refer to the ship specs on page one of this thread. Life support is on deck 11.

Marines

On a side note, if anyone has questions about Starfleet Marines, I will be happy to help. I'm a member of Starfleet International, and I hold the rank of Colonel in the Starfleet Marine Corps. The Marines have been heavily developed for those who like a more military flavor to their fan group activities. We have like a zillion manuals and it's very well-structured and well-organized. The Marine Strike Group that I command is a Mecha unit; we deploy Mechs into ground-based combat situations to bring peace through superior firepower...and giant frikkin' robots.

sfi-sfmc.org, if anyone wants to check it out.

My posts

You guys are too kind.

I will endeavour to keep my posts as meaningful as I can. She isnt going to be of much use in a combat situation, but I can still think of something to post, I hope.

Durp?

Ok, so life support is in two locations. When I check what was on 20 - 24 that's where I found Life Support and ran with that info. It doesn't really say which is the main one.

I hadn't checked out Deck 11 until now.

okay

That makes sense, Ody. There is a primary and backup life support setup. That would explain the different decks so far apart.

I getting there.........

Being to new kid I need to know the deck reference by Module until I'm more intuned to the game. I see a reptet of Decks 8 through 16 between Suacer Module and Star Drive Section, each have different information. There is even a Life Support of Deck 13 of the Saucer, which I would suspect is for use during seperation.

I'm not being a "Rules Lawyer" I'm just trying to live up to the quality of everyone else's work by learning as fast as I can.

I'd have Tier to 11 instead of LaRue if I'd been a little more aware. He's both Security and darn fine Engineer too.

Saucer Module
Deck 1: Main Bridge, Captain’s Ready Room, Observation Lounge
Deck 2: Senior Officer's Quarters, Junior Officer’s Quarters
Deck 3: Junior Officer’s Quarters
Deck 4: Main Shuttle Bay, Cargo Bays

Deck 10: Main Lounge, Computer Cores
Deck 11: Holodecks, Residential Apartments
Deck 12: Sickbay, Medical Laboratories, Gymnasium
Deck 13: Residential Apartments, Life Support
Deck 14: Residential Apartments
Deck 15: Maintenance
Deck 16: Captain’s Yacht Docking Port

heh

Good thing you aren't a rules lawyer, since this is a freeform game.

We use the linked documents as our cannon reference, but there are some conflicting pieces of data available. In those cases, we make a call and go with it.
