The Gemhound Paragon Path (4e)

"Whether earth, gems or dwarves, Kharox has never forged an imperfection!"

This a 4e version of the Audalis 3.5 prestige class originally created by Almerin. See the original article for more information regarding history and flavor-text of the Gemhound.

The Gemhound

Prerequisites: dwarf, non-evil

Gemhound Path Features

Infuse Gem (11th level):
The Gemhound must embed, attach, or otherwise secure a gemstone of at least 500 gp to the indicated part of the body in order to gain the benefits of path features or the use of path powers.

Street Smart [neck] (11th level):
The Gemhound can add either his wisdom or intelligence bonus to the following charisma based skills: Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate and Streetwise. In addition, the Gemhound becomes trained in Insight and Perception if not already.

Resist Enchantment [chest] (11th level):
A Gemhound gains a +5 bonus to saving throws vs Enchantments.

Scrying [off-arm] (16th level):
A Gemhound gains the use of the "View Object" ritual. The Gemhound need not be trained in Arcana or have the Ritual Casting feat to use this ability. The gem implanted must be within visible sight of the Gemhound as it will act as a focus. The Gemhound must still pay component costs. In addition, the focus gem may only be used once before it must be replaced to regain use of this ability.

You are able to see things not normally visible
thanks to the power of your gemstone.
