The Naming Song

A dwarven song about the Naming of A Sword

Naming of a sword,
Is a vital choice,
The name tell the power,
Molds the voice,
Can not name a blade,
Before it wield,
Deeds not words,
On the battlefield.

*Chorus*
Hammer to the forge,
Blade to the fire,
Bellows stoke the coals,
As the flames get higher.
Nothing to chance
And nothing goes wrong,
Magic in the blade,
By Our Naming Song.

Drawn from the sheath,
No room for lies,
Before you kill a man,
Better look in his eyes,
By first blood drawn,
Be it foe or kin,
Bestow the Name,
Releases magic within.

*Chorus*

When the metal is forged,
This song is begun,
The steel holds a colour,
 Like the setting sun,
The spells are beaten,
Forged into the blade,
By the final naming,
The binding is made.

*Chorus*

Nothing to chance,
Until the forging is done,
Then lady luck guide you,
Before the setting sun,
If chance is to be taken,
It will be taken by you,
Name your sword well,
And it will serve you true.

*Chorus*

Hammer to the forge,
Blade to the fire,
Bellows stoke the coals,
As the flames get higher.
Nothing to chance,
To the wielder luck runs,
Name now your blade,
As our song is done.
