Topic: Looking for Interest in New Online RPG
Subject: Oooooooh

In order of interest to me, (from highest to lowest) I like:

1st - I can't decide between Subway and Five Seconds to Save the World
2nd - The Lost and Profound
3rd - Castle Rautenberg

I already have the seeds of a character in mind for the number 1 ones... I just have to decide between Surfer and Sparker for the Five Seconds to Save the World

EDIT: Alright, I decided on a Spark, and with that, the two seeds are ready to be sewn

Aqinarr City
Soldier's Barracks
Three and Three Quarter Hours before Twilight

"This must have cost you a fortune," Willow uttered after a pause, "you shouldn't have gone to the tr-"

Yin's face turns even redder, "No, really, I felt I had to, I mean maybe to make up for all these times I've kind of barged in and challenged you..."

Again, Yin's voice trails off.

Willow reaches over to the packaged ring, but a glint of metal stalls her for a moment. There, on the floor by the bed, is the ring. Not the one she had sent herself, but the one that was lost. How long it has been there is uncertain, and its cool temperature indicates that it just hasn't been handled recently.

It is almost as if it had just fallen there, misplaced...

"Thank-you."

Yin's face is now quite red, and his eyes are averted. "Oh, really, it's not that much..."

"But I didn't get anything for you," she said.

Yin looks back, "Oh, you don't need to get anything for me..."

Then she promptly stood up and wrapped her arms around the shorter Yin in a friendly thank-you hug. "Don't move, I'll be 10 minutes at the most."

"Umm... OK." Yin stammers.

The marketing district... quite a busy place compared to even the docks, and Willow can't help but feel quite crowded from the immense number of people still here. She can hardly step anywhere without having to push through or otherwise ask for people to try to move out of the way. A select few merchants are beginning to pack up here and there, but the majority are just glowing with the anticipated revenue of another evening rush. This is hardly anything compared to the immense market in Wanqir, Willow knows, but it is still far too crowded. It is so crowded, she can barely see exactly what the wares are that merchants are displaying. Finally pushing through to be close enough to one vendor set up along an inconspicuous alleyway, Willow can easily consider herself quite lucky. He is an elderly man with his elegant and old cart carefully set out of the general populace's way. The cart looks like a foreign food-selling booth, with even a small roof to cover the man and any customers. It looks easily as old as the man is, if not older, with paint wearing off, and the wood underneath looking slightly worn. There is only one other customer there, a little girl who has to stand on her tip toes in order to see the merchandise. The man, old enough to be a grandfather, has a beard and spectacles, as well as relatively formal clothes, and looks upon his young customer with a sort of caring look in his old and weary eyes. His hands, as he shows the little girl various things, appear old, yet strong, and not frail. The girl is dressed in a full length dress with a floral pattern, and she has short black hair and golden eyes.

The elderly man is displaying a selection of antiquities, mainly in the form of bracelets. There is also a wooden box being sold as well that is rather wide compared to the rest of the merchandise, although what is in it cannot be seen because it is closed. It is easily wide enough to hold a bracelet, but it is rectangular, and thinner than most of the braclets there, so doesn't seem to hold a bracelet. One bracelet in particular stands out to Willow. It is slightly plain, with a silver toned appearance, but inscribed on it is an elegant symbol, almost a coat of arms. It has a longsword in the back, with a round shield in front, and upon the shield is depicted a roaring lion. The bracelet is displayed with this engraving up, so Willow cannot see from this angle what is on the back.

I believe the droidekas there maintained their shield generators (because the Jedi could deflect their bolts, so they'd have to)

I'm thinking of one notable scene in particular... it is quite obvious actually, or at the very least, it's not obscure.

Answer: They were moisture farmers, so they would have farmed water, and I believe it was from the air.

Question: What is the starfighter series that were made to directly combat rogue TIE Defenders?

EDIT: Oh, that might be a bit too obscure, since it's from the TIE Fighter game, not the movies... anyway... here's this one instead: In which battle are Droidekas seen without their shield generators on? (there might be more than one, but I know one for sure)

Linnix feels terrible. Of course, most of it is from the morning, but added on top of that is the guilt for driving Tock so hard just to keep up with the others. Maybe she should've left the cart behind and traveled light...

It is time to set up camp. Even Linnix's limbs are tired, and she was sitting in a cart! Time to sleep... and hope I don't blow tomorrow like I did today. Linnix solemnly thinks as she sets up her own tent and quietly takes a small portion of dinner. Afterwards, Linnix contemplates her surviving candle-orbs.

The howls at first are slightly unheeded by Linnix. It's just a pack of wolves out for their hunt... they shouldn't heed us at all. She thinks.

However, when the howls get closer, Linnix begins to wonder.

“Stay close to the fire!,” Aelistae shouted to the others. “The fire and our presence should scare them, unless… Stay close to the fire, and do not let the creatures bite you if you can help it!”

Linnix looks up, startled, "What's wrong? Why would they attack us?"

Her slowed mind barely registers the implication, and then suddenly it hits her. Werewolves?!

Linnix quickly puts the two orbs down, and grabs her crossbow and bolts. Looking into the darkness, Linnix sighs, I can barely see anything... I wish I could see in the dark... Her hands tremble slightly, and she slowly steadies them. She had to do her best, but what if it isn't enough?

"Tenarr ... Would You Be Able to Create a Sheath for this Death Scythe ... That Would Allow Me To Transport This Weapon ... Without Cutting My Hands?"

Tenarr just takes one glance before he shakes his head. "As far as I know, the only way that scythe can be transported is on the back in a sling like how Xira always carried it. I tried making a case for it once... as soon as I put it on the scythe, the scythe's black aura blew it apart! Not to mention I've tried getting Xira to wear gauntlets, just to prevent further damage to her hands, and the scythe's aura totally destroyed those too!"

Tenarr shivers, "It is such a nasty piece of work... whoever made this definitely knew how to make something formidable... no one in their right mind would make such a thing; it hurts the wielder almost to the same degree as the one it is wielded against!"

Tenarr gingerly takes the scythe and puts it on a weapon stand, its black aura flickering for just a moment as it is put down.

((Manalagna Hammer is now at Checkpoint 1 - further RP and posting is optional, and if there's nothing posted, I'll just fastforward to Twilight))

Why a silhouette? Because I was being somewhat mysterious... ^_^

Why a sylph? They're my favourite characters! Not because they can become invisible, but because they can fly and have innate magic! I love to fly...

Unfortunately, because of the whole invisible at will aspect of the sylph's statistics, I never get to play one at all

Xira shrugs, "If that's the case, why didn't you say so in the first place?"

Xira picks up the bandaged scythe and, almost carelessly, she holds it forth for Manalagna to take.

The scythe feels unusually heavy in Manalagna's hands, and even through the bandages, he can feel the razor sharp shaft ready to draw his own blood. It also feels cold. It is almost as though its cold feeling from it draining something from Manalagna.

Xira adds, almost as an afterthought, "By the way... if you ever come across the scythe's original owner, before me, you needn't worry about returning it. She has probably just made another."

Galen lets Krixa's cold mindset slide away as he recovers his fallen book. What a hostile world this is. Galen thinks to himself, perhaps a bit sadly, But then again... if I'm given the means to fight, what else would I expect?

Galen's aura pulsates softly and subtly, with a kind of heartbeat. Well, if there's more, and there is always more, since both Light and Darkness are limitless, then I'd best be prepared.

Without much of a word, Galen passes the torch to Jeremy, taking a smooth femur bone from one of the fallen skeletons to wield. Galen is slightly disgusted at having to wield it, but admittedly, it wasn't all that much worse than some of the dissections in biology class. At least the bone was devoid of flesh, so it just had a bizarre smoothness about it.

Ben had asked Owen if he is alright, but Galen needed to see for himself. Owen's clothes are torn where the skeleton's sharp clawlike hands slashed through, and the cuts could be seen through them. Those are some nasty cuts, Galen thinks, We need to find some sort of first aid kit or bandages as soon as possible. Galen looks down at the bony hand that did the damage, It'd be good to keep an eye on that wound too, to make sure it doesn't get infected.

"You were hit too, weren't you Ben? Can I see?" Galen asks.

"We'd better keep an eye out for some sort of first aid kit or something." Galen adds in general to everyone.

Ninkanna sighs, and puts the comlink away. If Master Arkanna had turned her own off, then it was probably for a reason. Maybe she couldn't afford to let the comlink go off at an inopportune time or something... Ninkanna just has to trust that Master Arkanna is alright, and so she does.

Well, there's not much else I can do but wait. Ninkanna thinks to herself. She jumps on top of her starfighter, sits in the cockpit, and begins to meditate. She reflects on the incident in the alley. She replays the battle in her mind, focusing on her own technique. It is quite different than remotes. Ninkanna thinks, Although, I don't recall a lot of training with more than one remote at a time. It's another thing to practice on. However, there's something else... Ninkanna traces the battle back to its beginning, to when she got shot.

She replays the scene in her mind, I screamed, and in that scream was rage, and fear. It is... natural... but not right. I have to learn how to silence it... but I will get there, I know I will.

Ninkanna then passes the rest of the combat, and reflects on the exchange between her and Slade. Ninkanna sighs inwardly, There was nothing I could have done. I did what I did, and that is all that could've been expected of me. There is nothing more I could have done.

Forgiving herself for that incident, Ninkanna feels serene. That was the main issue that was plaguing her mind, and now it was dealt with. Even if other people thought otherwise, that was the best she could have done in that situation, and Ninkanna accepts the outcome. There is only peace...

Despite the solemn nature of her meditation, a person looking at Ninkanna as she meditates finds her smiling; another unconscious habit that she herself isn't all that aware of.

“I would like to check with Kavtan about his investigation. I will bring up the ‘Incident’ later when we dine with the Administrator Namor.”

Ninkanna nods, "OK, I'll see if I can get in touch with Master Arkanna. Oh, and if you've already seen Kavtan, I guess he's already told you what happened on our end right?"

Ninkanna sighs, "I'm not even a diplomat, but I really don't want to get in that situation again... I had no idea what I was doing, with what words I did exchange with Slade. I tried to be neutral, but apparently Kavtan didn't think much of me for that. I guess they don't know much about the Jedi types..."

Ninkanna shakes her head, "I'm sorry, I really need to meditate; I have so much on my mind right now..."

Ninkanna shakes her head again, as though to clear it of a headache, "Well, I'll try contacting my Master, like I said I was going to... I ramble a bit too much, don't I?"

Ninkanna laughs just once at herself, then wanders back outside to check the comlink again, to see if Master Arkanna's is on or not, and maybe even ask the starfighter astromech droids if they can help somehow.

It happens too fast. With a thud, Owen falls to the ground. An icy claw grips Galen's heart, but he looks inside. I can't afford to freeze now. Krixa! Help me.

Galen's eyes go flat as he allows himself to fill the role of the soulless warrior. Maybe unhealthy, but right now the skeletons had to be dealt with, before any more damage could be done. Taking a step to the left, Galen lets his book fall out of his hand with a thunk on the ground. He raises his hand, and swiftly traces a magic rune in the air, almost like the oval outline of a leaf angled to point up and to the right, all the while allowing his words to shape the mystical force to form the desired result.

The words are uncomprehensible, but if they were written down, they'd look like this: "Ad ghv togwr hq vijgn, oorh ghv ihpnkiu vijgo qv giteer ghv vamsgrf vijgp."

Galen then clenches his hand around the now shrunken and glowing silver rune, and from his fist a bright aura of similar colour envelops his body. "Jeremy, get out of the way." The tone of Galen's voice is near emotionless and, strangely, almost androgynous.

"What is it?"

Yin smiles mysteriously, "Go on, open it."

Undoing the silken wrappings, Willow comes across an elegant wooden cube, subtly carved with the texture of bark. Opening this, Willow finds a stone. No, it is much more than a stone, faceted and shaped like a child's drawn heart. It is violet in colour, and cold to the touch, yet in the sun it shines brightly and warms quickly. Inside, the stone embraces the light, forming stars within its reaches. The stars glitter, appearing as when one looks at the clear sky at dawn. Attached to this stone is a fine mithril chain, so as to allow it to be worn as a pendant.

Yin's cheeks turn a bit red with embarrassment, "I know it's a bit improper, I mean the shape, but I couldn't think of any others..."

Yin's voice trails off, waiting to see Willow's reaction.

"The Trophies I Collect ... Always Have a History ..."

Xira nods, "And this scythe does, as does everything. This one's history just doesn't need to be told."

"Again I Ask ... How Did you Get This ... Death Scythe?"

Xira tilts her head, "You're going to have to do better than that; Ken's inquisitions were far more potent than this."

"What Exactly Is It Like ... When You Use It?"

Xira places the scythe down, "That cannot truly be described. It can only be felt, by the wielder."

"How Long Have You Been Using The Death Scythe?"

Xira tilts her head, "I suppose that isn't a secret. It has been... thirteen years? Yes, I suppose that's right. I don't pay attention to time."

"Why Are You So Willing To Surrender It To Me Now?"

Xira leans back thoughtfully and shrugs, "You've earned it, have you not? If you want it, you can have it. If you don't want it, I'll keep it."

"What Else Do You Have To Offer Me For Defeating You?"

Xira thinks for a moment, "You can have either scythe, one or the other... or... the tale, as you put it, behind one of them, and only that."

When Manalagna first enters the infirmary, Xira appears asleep. The infirmary is a plain room, with several wands lined up along a shelf on one side, vials of various coloured fluids on another, and finally a wide variety of herbs and bandages on another. There is also a bed in the center of the room upon which Xira is resting. She is wearing a white nightgown, quite the contrast to the black she normally wears, and her hands have already been re-bandaged. It, along with the fact that she is in a relaxed state, softens her demeanour. Perhaps this is a glimpse of Morganna...

However, Xira quickly awakens, and the image of Morganna vanishes. "So, you're here." She says matter-of-factly.

Manalagna bows to Xira and praises her for the difficult time he had in defeating her.

Xira waves the motion aside with her left hand. "Don't exaggerate the truth." Xira says blandly, "Do you have anything else you wish to discuss?"

"Would you kindly tell me the tale of the Black Scythe ... or the Death Scythe ... as some would say?"

"Tale? What is there to tell? I got it. Simple as that. However... where is a secret." Xira says coldly, "But speaking of which..."

Xira reaches over one side of her bed and pulls forth the newly wrapped Death Scythe. As it is not being used in battle, its black aura doesn't appear to ruin its wrappings, but it can still be felt.

"You'll want this I assume?" Xira asks, her voice icy yet dry, "A trophy for defeating me?"

Linnix stands in her room, the words and looks of disapproval of everyone haunting her mind. I'm... so selfish. She thinks.

Linnix begins to cry. It was because of her selfishness that she lost her sister, and now it may lose her any friends she could have made.

Without even bothering to change, Linnix begins her dance. Slow and graceful, but sad. The swaying of an ocean of tears longing for an untaken path. As she dances, her mind wanders.

"How can you be so cold, Linnix?" The words of Artanis echo in her mind, and Linnix can't find an answer to them.

Caera... you were always the selfless one of the two of us. Linnix thinks, Was I always this selfish?

What do I have to do? Linnix wonders.

You have to learn to care.

Linnix looks up sharply. Once again, Caera's image is before her, dancing with her. Linnix smiles, her heart swelling with her love.

You have to learn how to care for those around you, not just close to you. Caera continues, The connections we make in life are what give life purpose. Everyone has differences, you just have to accept them for who they are. Care for others, and it will be returned to you. It's not immediate, and sometimes not noticeable, but it is there. Likewise, scorn others, and it will also be returned to you.

Linnix nods sadly; it made sense. For all her hate for her parents, she was made an outcast of the family, and now, for her dislike for Kas and even slight for Loriel, she was becoming an outsider of the group.

Caera stops dancing, and walks over to Linnix, lifting her crestfallen sister's chin gently, Lighten up, Linnix. She says with a kind smile, The words and actions taken in the past can be taken back. Just give it time.

Caera's image then fades, and vanishes. Linnix stops dancing as well, tears falling from her eyes.

Maybe they can be forgiven, but you still can't come back.

* * *

Linnix walks outside at the given time. Everyone is there. Linnix wanders over to Tock, trying to avoid eye contact with the others.

“I have something for each of you,” she announced as she produced two large rubies, and handed one of each to the two women. “I was able to trade the jewels and trinkets that were in the slaver’s purse for three gems – one for each of us. We were after all, all the victims of what happened. And we all deserve a reward for what we did.”

Linnix turns around to face Aelistae and takes the ruby, her hand slightly shaking. "Thank you." She murmurs, but something doesn't seem right. The gemstone is exquisite, with an incredible cut and clarity, but still...

Red. Linnix thought, A blood red... I can't believe how I acted at that time, that night.

Linnix carefully places the gem in her pouch with the other gems and coins, and climbs on her cart. She feels tired...
