Topic: THE SMURFS, THEY ARE COMMUNIST Subject: Thoughtful.
Although, I must say, I prefer the political references of the Wizard of Oz.
Think about it. The yellow brick road symbolizes gold. In the book, the slippers were originally Silver, symbolizing the author's favor for bimetallism over a gold standard.
And the midwest is where that whole debate was the worst, back in our westward expansion.
Hence, Kansas.

Topic: Inheritance -- the game Subject: I'm homeeeee
After visiting with Whole Delvers, Kannizan made his way back through the crowd of people towards the Fifth House Inn.
Once he got there, he proceeded up to his room to sit and relax for a minute. He was still thinking about how he had encountered a fellow Stonesunder in this large city. The world did seem a truly small place at that point in time. He hoped it would stay small for their journey in the morning.
Kannizan sighed. He knew he would be in for a long trip unless he attempted to acquaint himself with the rest of the company. He stood up from the bed, grabbed the remainder of his gold, and headed back downstairs. Maybe he would meet with someone and go have a quick drink with them. Perhaps he would take up Jethro's offer. He walked out of the inn and crossed the street to where the Pig in Armour was waiting for him.

Topic: Inheritance -- the game Subject: Little Dwarf in a big city
Kannizan was lost. He had a bag of 100 gold, which he assumed was ample money for the trip, but no clue where to start. He had many items he needed, but he may as well buy a months worth of food and grain. He had enough space in his saddle bags. He thought to himself "Maybe I should fill up the rest of my quiver with javelins...I've already got my ax, shield, and armor..."
At that very moment, he looked up at a sign. He had been wandering around without paying much attention, but it seems lady fortune was smiling upon him. The shop's sign was in dwarven! Something told him he'd find exactly what a Dwarf needed for a trip in here.
On the trip, he'd asked a few people for good stores, but they always said something similar to "Doc and Sardin's Warehouse for the little guys." The part that struck him as odd was that the sign read exactly "Doc and Sardin's Warehouse."
As he stepped in the door, he heard an unmistakably Dwarven voice call out his name. He looked up to see a Dwarf approach him, asking him what he needed. Kannizan looked him in the eye, and told him a few things.
"I need some grain, rations, 20 ft of silk rope, a grappling hook..." The list went on. After listening, Sardin told him that he could supply him with everything except for the rations, in which he would have to purchase somewhere else, preferably Whole Delver's Mercantile, and to sit while his worker went and retrieved the goods, Sardin began to make small talk with Kannizan. At Kannizan's mention of him belonging to the clan Stonesunder, Sardin leaped towards Kannizan, grasping by the shoulders. "Bahahaha! I should've known only a Stonesunder could wander around Waterdeep lost until he found a shop owned by another Stonesunder!"
Kannizan felt dazed. This man was a clansman? A grin broke through his black beard. Sardin started asking him questions about the home front, although Kannizan couldn't answer about most of the people. The few he did know, he could only share good tidings. When the worker came back, Sardin told him to fetch 10 days worth of grain, and to wheel the 50 pound sack to the inn where Kannizan is staying.
After taking the appropriate amount of gold, Sardin clasped Kannizan's shoulder. After asking for directions to Whole Delver's Mercantile, he gathered up all his goods and left the store.

Topic: Inheritance -- the game Subject: Grumble Grumble moan moan
Kannizan was mumbling as he retrieved his own bag of gold. "We have to go through a forest? Why can't we do a trek over or through a mountain, where a dwarf will have a damned sense of direction?" His mumblings were barely heard, unless one was listening for him, which he didn't think anyone was. When he heard people mentioning food, he spun quickly, the clinking of his coins being audibly heard. "Food? Sounds good. I'm hungry from all the traveling I did. Speaking of, about how long should you say we should get the provisions for?"

Topic: Fields of Rune Subject: RUN
Bezmir's feet pounded the ground underneath him, as he bellowed the news of the wolves arrival. A crowd of people ran at him, and they collided, knocking Bexmir onto his back. Much to his dismay, he heard the crack of shattering wood, and felt as the splinters of his lute dug into his back, drawing small amounts of blood. The strings snaped also, which cut small lines along his spine. He realized his luck a second later, when he saw the head had come off before he landed, so the blade landed harmlessly a foot from him. He dusted himself off, winced as some of the wood shards were pulled out, and strode to his blade. He picked it up and began to run again.
He saw a general store where people were gathering, and a rather important looking man was trying to calm them all. As Bezmir strode up, he heard the man saying..."The wolves won't dare enter the town. It's just nature. They are terrified of our steel and flame." Bezmir stopped, looked at the man and spoke above him and the murmor of the crowd. "I don't know which is worse; their irrational fear or your ignorance. Get these people inside, lock up, and stay quiet until I come back for you." The man looked shocked. He rushed through the crowd, standing in front of our bard, and began shouting. "I don't know who think you are strolling through my speech undermining..." Bezmir cut him off. "Now listen. You do as I told you. Get these people under shelter, and yourself. Lock the store, cover the windows. I'll come back when it's safe."
Bezmir then took off, looking towards the forest, hoping to see his friends. Bezmir saw a few stragglers, calling out for wives or children, and he told all he saw to go to the general store. He hoped they would have safety in numbers. The streets were then deserted. He took a series of deep breaths to calm his nerves, and then he sped off towards the treeline, where they all planned to meet.

Kannizan eyed the gnome with great curiosity. It wasn't every day that you met a gnome that had passion like that. He liked what the gnome had said. He liked him saying "If you don't want to be involved with all of us, then don't be involved at all." He thought it summed up the point quite nicely. He pulled up his belt a little bit. "So, we've got quite a collection of skills here. Hey, gnome, what was your name again, I missed that part?"

Bezmir looked at Shepherd. He did not want to leave this new companion, but he also could not deny the importance of this task. He sighed, but the short blade back into the lute neck, and threw his pack and instrument onto his shoulders. "I'll go then, and meet you at the designated point. But please, everyone, be careful."
Bezmir started a jog towards the center of town, using his lungs to relay the news much like a courier would, turning back one last time to see what his two comrades were doing.

Topic: Fields of Rune Subject: Oh no
Musicianship had a valuable effect on Bezmir at this point. He was able to belch out his warning so loud, that the homeless man jumped. He saw curious heads poke out the bar, and then go right back in, shutting the locks. Bezmir calmly opened his pack, and pulled out a hand crossbow and a small pack of bolts. "Ahh, but in this case, your sheep are armed." Also, he twisted the head of his lute, removing it to reveal a short, slim blade coming from it, similar to a short rapier. He may not be the best fighter, but he would be able to hold his own. He'd learned his combat from bar brawls breaking out over the matter of some of his songs. He turned to Zau and stated "Do you fight?"
