Topic: A Local Legend - Q/A
Subject: Question

I'm a little confused about the years. Maybe I'm just confused about what year it is in game. I understand that the fish people showed up 300 years ago, which would make it x E.R.?

Maybe it was somewhere and I just missed it, but I'm trying to figure out what connections might be made from the three dates we were given.

I'm playing a clueless moron (not a big stretch, I know), most likely straight fighter.

Subject: A short pause

Cassandra waited atop her horse as the others began to make their way back towards the monastery, thoughts drifting about her mind. The footprints, the ritual, the tribute; it was all too familiar in some ways, and drastically different in others.

What was different about this tribute than so many other territorial beasts across Audalis? Why was information on the creatures so rare? Why had this problem lasted generations instead of being dealt with by the first troop of adventurers to pass along?

As she turned her horse and followed the trailing banter of her companions she realized that their answers may lie within the halls of knowledge. Or perhaps with a distinctly magical solution.

I think what makes us human is that we ask doctoral level questions that the greatest philosophers haven't been able to answer to... well anyone and everyone at the bar.

Subject: Split the party?

Cassandra Luminosa smiled slightly and curtsied to the venerable druid. Her flowing wizard's robes, deep blue this day, fluttered in the breeze like the ocean itself.

There was a certain justice to allowing people to solve their own problems, she thought, but when those people couldn't possibly solve it themselves? No, the druid was wrong to abandon the people of the village, no matter what pretensions he clung to.

Cassandra slid up into the saddle of her silver mare, Dagger, as she turned her mind to the task before this group of adventurers.

"The druid may be trying to help in his own way," she said in a soft tone, almost to herself. "There may be much to gain within the halls of Jusarin. But there is equal, yet different information to gain from observing the town, and possibly another poor fisherman to protect."

She sidled her horse closer to Brother Jessup. "What say you, son of Jusarin? Should you and I return to the monastery while the rest defend the town, or do we worry about a possible attack and should we conserve our strength for such?"

Hi all! I'm new to RDInn, looking for anything that I might have a book for. I have a buncha books, but my rl group meets once a month if I'm lucky.

So I guess this is by way of introduction and looking for a game.
