Ranger's also a more interesting background character choice as it almost implies a more solitary character and hints at skill choices. And before anyone makes the comment but dwarves are underground and rangers protect forests let me remind them that neither assumption has to exist and as the Underdark from Forgotten Realms can most likely attest there can be forests underground. Without any pre-knowledge of the world you're playing in I would suggest have a cave ranger and instead of taking skills in wilderness lore take ranks in cave lore.

Well as Eol points out in his blog more than just stats all good level 9 characters start out with a level 1 race and class. You have the race: dwarf but what class is your guy? and what class did he start with? For a dwarf that likes being in the fray I admit to being a little cliche and liking me some dwarven fighters but for your concept a monk would work just as nicely. Perhaps you should read Eol's 'More han just stats' and make your guy along with his guy.

The wish is incorruptible, however you realize how much of a loser you are for wasting a wish on virtually nothing as your incorruptible wish had no substance and generated no result besides making the wish granter say granted. Way to go next time you're given the chance to wish maybe you should actually wish for something.
