Topic: Tomeraith- an undead campaign (I'd like active players please)
Subject: DONE!

I have finished my character sheet, Axio, and have it up on the Myth-Weavers website! Many apologies, again, for being late, but I had to get this all alright!

Also, I'd be interested in hearing about those replacement abilities for barbarians' trap sense feature.

Topic: Ads on the Inn?
Subject: Amazon Grace ;)

Works for me, Ty! I get extremely tired of seeing "miraculous" dermatology miracles and online poker rooms on virtually every other website and wikia I visit- this is a refreshing change.

Amazon is a friendlier place and its ads are significantly less intrusive.

Now I forgot to update this, but Tuesdays I am not going to be available at the usual time. Every other time will work, but it can't be Tuesday.

I'm really sorry...

Topic: What would you say about a Loaded Dice return?
Subject: Me

I'm an artist, I guess, and specialize in drawing and sketching with pencil and pen. I also dabble in digital art (Photoshop)- the avatar I have which really needs updating was a drawing I did in early 2012 of a character I created. (Gad, I sound pretentious-- I really am not, I promise!)

I plan on attending a 2-D animation diploma program next year- I'd like some professional education and a career in animation.

One day I would love to contribute some of my more relevant stuff to RDInn, including various character designs for games I'll play and a medieval fantasy-themed comic strip SirSadaar and I have been working on since 10th grade. That one is going to be a lot of fun. As for comic drawing right now, however, I'm not interested in taking on anything yet as I'm working on my portfolio...

I read through Loaded Dice and some of the other comic strips that ran on RDInn, and they truly are a valuable part of the inn. Looking really forward to seeing updates come through, and I wish all the best to Yanamari as the new artist!! Her preview is looking great!

Good gosh, Trilogy has lasted for ten long years HUZZAH!!

Many kudos and cheers to you, Tann, all the love and care you have put into the grandest game on Red Dragon Inn is coming back to you. What would we be without you^^ Shoutout to all those who have kept it going, too, as Trilogy wouldn't be Trilogy without it's players.

Axio, I know I am late already with the character sheet, but I'm going to need a bit more time to overhaul him somewhat.

Sorry about the time!!

Topic: Geneology Discoveries....
Subject: Geneology is...

...fascinating. The whole study of family ties and how far back they can extend honestly amazes me, and the range of stories of how one's ancestors ended up where they did blows my mind.

Well, I'm sure I've shared information like this in earlier posts, but I descend from grandparents on my Mum's side who came to Canada from Europe. Oma (Mum's mum) was German and was born and brought up in Poland; she travelled around Europe until moving to Canada, where she met Papa (Mum's dad) in Vancouver at a friend's party. Papa was from Russia, at the time called the Soviet Union; he came to Canada when he escaped from his country during WWII. They settled down together, remained in Canada for the rest of it, and raised Mum and her younger brother.
Oma was of the merchant middle class, reasonably well-to-do, while Papa had a history of lower-class farming.

Dad's family were descendents of the Russian Protestant mennonites who were forced out of the country during those times, subsequently moving to Canada a few generations ago. Grandma was a child of these immigrants, but Grandpa had been in Canada longer than her. They married and raised Dad as the youngest child of five.
Grandma and Grandpa were also of lower-class farmers.

As for geneology, I know Oma traced her history back through Germany to the 16th century, mostly as merchants (I'm not exactly sure, I should ask about it one day). Papa's surname was changed when he fled from the USSR- we are almost completely certain that there is no way to find it again, leaving a whole portion of history lost forever...

...and Dad's family can be traced fairly far, as the Friesens were a pretty populous name over the centuries.

That leaves me. I guess I have bloodlines largely in Russia (though much of that was diluted through generations in Canada) and Germany. The rest is history!

I'm pretty much good to go every night at 6:00 pm Pacific Time (8:00 pm Central, and so on). Might not be able to make a game until Sunday this week, though. Then, from there on, I'm okay again.

Largely it's whatever works for everyone else^^

Hi there, Stormy, it's always nice to see new faces at our inn! You don't need to be afraid of us, DnD, or anything on this inn- we don't bite^^

DnD is a great lot of fun, and the online games we have are always a hoot. We do handle other games, too; from White Wolf to Star Wars to Traveller, or whatever else you fancy.

Hope to see you in some upcoming games in the future. In the meantime, have fun, and welcome to our family!

Subject: Awww

Heeyy, it's all alright, Astrid- the smoke has been terrible recently. I live down in the Okanagan Valley and, although it hasn't been as bad here as it has for you up there, it's been quite hazy almost all summer. I gotta say it's become nothing new to hear about fires cropping up across the province, which is an honest shame. I think it's been the heat.

I wish all the best to you, hon^^ Take all the time and rest you need, all I want to hear is that you are taking care of yourself and making it through the day all right. The inn will always be here for you!

Padre, I think Hammer mentioned something about Axiomatic being away on a weekend holiday- he probably cannot make it tonight.

Maybe he can, but I'm not sure. Don't know if I could play Jaller with the same relative ease I find taking on Kradius.

Not to worry, Dunkan. I can take Kradius if you like.

If you would like me to RP him a certain way that fits with his personality, you can PM me and let me know (or email, post here, whatever works best ). Otherwise, I have been playing him by ear while taking cues on how I have seen you play him.

Axio, are we assuming that equipment costs the same in this world as it does in the core rulebook? And, if we take ranks in crafts which enable us to build our own equipment (eg. weapons, armour, etc.), are we allowed to build a set amount of such things for ourselves?

Thank you in advance! I'm getting about halfway done, and my char. sheet is on Mythweavers for ease of access.

Heeyy, it's been a while! Hope all is well in RL for you- haven't seen you here in ages!

There've been a few new games opening up recently, as well as some clever concepts floating up in the air- chat games have been kicking off, too- in a word, there's been a lot of activity recently! Stay if you wish- we are always happy to have you back

Yeah, I'd think so. I couldn't imagine any barbarian having the patience to be trained or the conviction to seek divinity.

Wonderful-- again, thank you very much! I might have more questions over the course of character creation, and may ask you more questions here if that's all right with you.

Topic: Tomeraith- an undead campaign (I'd like active players please)
Subject: Now this is interesting

So this is what you were thinking about when we spoke yesterday! I may sound desperate, but would absolutely love to join, as I have really nothing going for me right now. The undead campaign idea looks really attractive-- with my join request, I gotta say I have always wanted to do something like this, some sort of cross between a World of Darkness game and Pathfinder/DnD, where survival is key and money isn't really an object.

I'd like to try being a barbarian for this game, some kind of big raging guy who is so tired of everything being so bleak that he will force himself upon his environment to instigate his own version of change. I figure it would be a good way to break out of my usual cleric mould, and I can try out some new mechanics.

As a barbarian, I would naturally focus upon physical forms of combat, likely of the usual "rage, charge, and hit" routine common to the class. Seeing as there is so much mana in Relistan during this time, I might be interested in adding a few spellcasting keys to my character alongside the physical stuff, likely to buff himself more than anything else.

Does that sound all right? That, and is there a point-buy system for this game?

Many thanks for starting up a new campaign-- I am looking really forward to this!

Oooh, I am very sorry to hear it! Yikes, sounds like you've got way to much on your plate to be even legal!! Curse you RL, why do you have to give our man a hard time?

We will all wait for you with baited breath, friend of all friends- there will a happy Grugg-centric reunion for you when you return. In the meantime, stay positive and try not to stress too much^^

We all wish you luck!
