In the Grim Darkness of the 41st Millenium...

Do you want to hunt heretics? How about daemons? Filthy Xenos?

The Inquisition wants you! Or more likely, the Inquisition has rescued you from certain fate and given you two options: Join the secret police, or die.

Dark Heresy is the name - Warhammer 40k is the game. You will be joining the ranks of the Inquisition to hunt down the enemies of the Emperor. There are several paths to the Inquisition, none of them willing. You see, Inquisitors don't simply hold open sign ups - no, you have to be wanted.

And you are wanted.

Since Dark Heresy is a relatively new system (only a few months) I'll pretty much be working one on one to develop characters (unless by chance you have the book).

That being said, Newbies are welcome. As are old-timers. All I ask is that you be willing to really get into the Warhammer universe. If you don't know much about it, don't worry - I didn't when I started playing either. If you know anything about Star Wars, Star Trek, Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, or just about any sci/fi world, you'll easily adapt to Warhammer.

I'd like to see what kind of interest there is before going any further.

Hmm

I'm keen to give it a go. My older brother used to poke around with those miniatures.

I have no idea what the system is like though!

Intrigued

Ok as I am quite familier with Warhammer 40k, as you should know Ad, I think I could get into this game but its a matter of do I have the time.

So a question or two.....

So first question: Would you allow a character along the lines of Eisenhorn or Ravenor.

well

Since I've both imperial, eldar, dark eldar and some odd gorkamorka figures lying around across some three countries lol, I'm interested to see how you're goin to tackle this as well.

Consider this interest for more information.

Sorry Rys, no chaos, yet

Tann, I was hoping you would consider. But in Dark Heresy you are part of an Inquisitor's retinue as his acolytes. So you can certainly style yourself after the greats, but like any game you have to work your way up.

That being said there are four "races" you can be:

Standard Human, born to an Imperial World
Hiveborn Human, born to a Hive World
Feral Human, born to a Primitive World
Voidborn Human, born on a ship

The classes (some races can't be certain classes)

Adept
Arbitrator (Arbeit)
Assasin
Cleric
Guardsman
Sanctioned Psyker
Scum
Tech-Priest

Shoot me a PM with your preferences. I would prefer Tech-priests, Clerics and Psykers have some Warhammer knowledge

Awww...

You take all the fun out of life... Now how am I going to run around screaming "Blood for the Blood God!"?

I guess that means a feral ork shaman is completely out as well...

...and the squats haven't been supported for years now.

I guess it could be worse. At least you aren't requiring people to be those stupid Eldar cone-heads.

If i remember them as I think I do, I'd love to play one.

Though obviously I have no books to play one.

What level?

Are characters starting at "level 1", with 400 XP to allocate and the random starting throne gelt? Or are you planning on having them start a little more "experienced"?

Unsure of best class

Ok as I cannot be Ravenor or Eisenhorn could you send me the book decriptions of the character classes Ad.

Not sure if I will have the time yet to play, as I will start working at the school in two weeks, but I am still very interested.

Thanks

Ravenor or Eisenhorn

Both of them would be Psykers, I think.

Ravenor for sure

But not so sure about Eisenhorn, though he does have a pet pocket Demon .

Will have to hit the ole storage shed and dig out the Eisenhorn omnibus and check.
