Five droids, but only 4 are hostile, the other's Kate

The droids, proving their previous shots to be flukes, all turn to face Quilia and shoot. Only one of them hits and again its a glancing shot, this time to the leg. (Take 6 damage)

Quilia fires back on the droids pulling the trigger as fast as she can, completely throwing aside all accuracy. Luckily both connect with different droids, the first and nearest to her hiding place is deactivated by the shot (knocked out in organic terms) and the second to be hit, not the next in the line but the one after that, is hit on the arm causing it's motors to fail and to drop the gun, it can still walk but can't shoot and that's the important thing.

The thing with droids is that they don't value life, most of them, I don't know about Kate, and at this point if they were organics they would retreat, but seeing as their just metal and circuits then they keep on the attack.

One shot from the lil droid

Kate examines the situation. Quilla seems stable for the moment, but restoring her may cause the remaining droids to pick her as a target. Even if unlikely, it isn't a risk worth taking, especially since Kate can only use the MA's once per day per patient.

So, instead, Kate goes on the offensive, seeing as how the combat will be over soon enough anyway. She rolls behind one of the remaining droids, and from one of her frontal compartments a bizarre arm comes out. This one is jointed, but rather than a claw at the end, it has almost a blaster-like tip.

It takes no longer than a nanosecond for a strong electric pulse to shoot from the electroshock probe to crackle around and through the droid.

((Melee touch attack with electroshock probe and hopefully I get to fry its circuits))

lol

Lelain lays on the cold pavement of the hanger, her eyes closed, but her chest does rise and fall with long shallow breaths. All the shooting around her go unnoticed, instead she only see's what happens in her head, which is likely much more pleasant than whatever is happening around her.

(Figured I'd add in my update for this round... )

No god-moding here, I know suicdolt's characters actions

Quilia, getting the advantage, releases a spray of shots knocking down all but one of the opposing droids, this last droid is quickly dispatched by a quick jolt from Kate's electroshock probe. This kind of action would probably seem like cowardice to a sentient as well as being, dare I say it, a kick in the back.

With all the droids dispatched and the alarm bells still ringing it's safe to assume that the area is secure, or at least will be if Kate puts a lockdown on the doors, and as so the group can, if they want, start loading concussion missiles into the ship they battled, and fell, to win. It might be a good idea to get Lelain on her feet and into the ship first though.

Time to heal

Returning to the previous task assigned to herself, Kate rolls over to the fallen Lelian.

Running medical treatment v1.3 program. Kate's output spool shows for a brief second before a large number of calculations and figures replaces it. From one of her frontal compartments, a rather unique arm appears. Unlike ones manufactured by KTI or other droid companies, this one appears to be nearly made from scratch, but also with joints that allow a flexibility beyond even that of a medical type droid. At the end of the arm is a cylindrical type object with a soft cloth pad at the end of it, and parts within it can barely be heard as they rotate and assemble. After this stops, Kate quickly, but gently, presses the end of the cylinder against Quilla's body. Barely anything can be felt, from the cylinder at any rate, but as the selected components of medical compounds flow through Quilla's body, Quilla does feel strengthened by them.

((Treat Injury vs DC 15, taking 10 => automatic success: Lelian is no longer unconscious))

((Treat Injury vs DC 15, taking 10 => automatic success: restores 7 vitality points, if I can still do that (the arm isn't already spent)))

Afterwards, the arm slides back into the compartment from which it came, and Kate heads over to the port within the 'closet' to lock down the hangar as they now have more time.

The droid was rushing to Lelain's aid, which meant that Quilia would not have to worry about her. She had bigger fish to fry. She was the only eyes still actively scanning for danger, and she'd make darn sure she didn't miss anything.

Still, combat didn't just consist of staying alive, it also consisted of getting out of dangerous situations. Once Lelain recovered and was mobile again, Quilia slung her gun again and began collecting the necessary materials for the flight. First priority: Weapons. She started loading missiles onto their new transport.

Back to Reality

Lelain was suddenly pulled out of the darkness and the world slowly faded back into view for her. At first there was nothing but a grey haze around her, then slowly she came to notice the droid hunched down next to her. She moaned slowly as the healing properties of the droid worked on her body.
At first she couldn't remember what she was doing there on the cold ground with the droid next to her, then she rolled her one eye slightly and caught the frazzled remains of one of the droids they had encountered on the floor, and it all rushed back to her. With it came the realization that the situation was still dangerous. Using what energy little K8 had pumped back into her she sat up and looked around, everything was quiet, K8 was speeding off to one of the consuls again and Quilla was loading things onto their target ship. Had to get that ship moving... she focused on her goal, and rose to her feet, slowly and not without wobbling considerably, but she stayed up, and began moving toward the ship, using whatever lay along the way to hold herself up.
Once at the ship she will find her way to the cockpit and start to power up the ship, after plopping herself into a chair and taking a moment of rest.

Not much time to rest

It wasn't too long after Lelain had started her rest that the sirens stopped. A death sentence. For anyone without a means of escape. It would take a few minutes for the guard to get to the hanger and a few more to get past the doors but it wasn't quite long enough to get comfortable away, with any luck the intrepid group would escape the hanger before the hanger blast doors were closed, but there would be no doubt that they would be followed, by either a droid ship or a piloted one. And if that happened there was only one choice, a space battle, they would need to exit the atmosphere and then re-enter at different coordinates in order not to be tracked.

So much to do, no droid can do it all!

They will be returning soon. Delay tactics need to be taken. Kate concludes, already wheeling toward the next console to open the hangar doors. Now to lock down the doors that lead to the hangar and set a lock on the lock down...

((So yeah... trying to give us as much time as possible by locking down the hangar, preventing access from inside at least; I can't close the hangar doors because we'll have to go through them in the ship))

Finishing that, Kate can only hope the organics moved at their highest potential to at least provide enough ammunition to the ship for the space battle that was likely, given her simulations. Still, there was one thing she had to do first, and so, zooming onto the ship Kate accesses a computer port on the ship itself and quickly diagnoses the ship, taking an inventory of its current weapons, as well as analyzing its weapon system and other components.

Assessment

Missiles are at 86.667% of capacity. That should be sufficient, however when we may be able to resupply is unknown. It is also unknown when the use of the missiles may be required; according to simulations, the requirement of the use of heavy armament is at a less than 10% chance. Kate quickly assesses. The best course of action is to enter outer space now. There is a greater than 85% chance we will be pursued at this point, and the longer we remain, the greater the chance increases that the number of fighters involved in the battle will be larger.
With that assessment recorded in memory, Kate quickly accesses the ship's startup routine to get the engines at least started.

Kate then yells toward Quilia, "Let's go!"

Stay Focused

Lelain was still in some pain and was also still a little woozy from being unconcious even if it hadn't been long. She pinched herself to try to focus on the task at hand, the pain was not that bad, the wooziness would go away eventually and the panic that ate at the edges of her conscience had to be controlled or they would never get out of here. She took a deep breath, and thought. Had to get the ship up and running, had to get the ship out of the hanger, had to get the ship just far enough away...
The engines started to purr underneath her and she smiled a little, that K8 was a delightful little addition that was certain.
Focus, start up procedure. She leaned over, KTI ships were like her second home, and her fingers started moving over the console lighting things up, checking the status of the plane, so far everything looked good (at least concerning the condition of the ship). Moving quickly through the protocols she felt that as soon as the other two got on board that they would be ready to blast out of the hanger doors, and she knew that she only had to take the ship out to a certain distance, and then she could rest... then she could rest, but not until then...
Stay focused... fly the ship...

Ronan Bruel Enters!

Sitting in your cabin in the old Firespray, one of the few remaining Firesprays left in the galaxy, your captain, an old Duro who revels in order and organisation, comes over the comm. His rough voice made worse by the old technology.

"This is your captain speaking. We are now approaching the city of Fulluusub. Destination for Jedi Ronan Bruel."

He then went on to repeat his message, typical military fashion, he had piloted this ship during the Yuuzhan Vong war.

A few minutes later you felt the ship touchdown, could couldn't see it because all the portholes and windows are blacked out. It had been done because this ship had been used to transport Vong captives and it was thought unwise to let the Vongs see military installments on their way to which ever prison it was that they were going to.

You descend the gangplank under the shine of lights off polished metal, it's not a soft glow, it's hard and cold but welcoming, this planet had survived the war well, and now it stood an example of what money can buy. At the foot of the gangplank a Sullustanian woman waits for you. She introduces herself as head of private investments and contracts for KTIndustries, her name is Beli.

The ship turns and leaves the private hanger in the crust of the planet as you follow Beli through a magnetised blast door, down 15 meters of corridor with numerous holocorders, through a security door and into your room. It's a luxury suite with programed sunstrips lighting it, they are currently set to Corusant daylight hours and so it's about dusk.

Ronan Bruel sat quietly in his seat as the old Firespray craft made it’s way down the gravity well of Sullust. He didn’t seem to notice the buffeting the old ship was taking as it hit the upper atmosphere; he knew the ship was old but the Firespray’s had always been a reliable and sturdy craft so he didn’t for a moment have any worries.

No one thought much about the male Zabrak dressed in old style brown Jedi robes; he kept mostly to himself seemingly lost in thought. He might appear different to other Zabraks they might have seen with his tan skin, an unusual color for his race, and lack of facial tattoos that usually came when a Zabrak male underwent during their rites of manhood. They wouldn’t know that he didn’t have the tattoos because he had never lived on Iridonia and therefore never partook of his people’s manhood rituals.

Having grown up on Nar Shaddaa in a Zabrak refugee camp and having been orphaned when he was only six years old might explain the differences. Ronan often thought about what little he remembered about those long lost days on Nar Shaddaa; his father working for a crime lord in order to survive while his mother struggled to raise their small son in a dog eat dog society. Little Ronan didn’t understand the problems his family endured each day; his mother had kept him sheltered as much as possible from the ugliness. His father however had gotten him into pick pocketing visitors since no one really thought of a little six year old boy as a thief. He had a knack for knowing who had the most money and who would make an easy target.; he was well on his way to joining his father in a life of crime.

Then the Yuuzhan Vong came and destroyed Nar Shaddaa and Ronan was one of the lucky survivors when his mother managed to barter passage for him at the cost of her own life. He barely survived and then thanks to the Jedi star fighters who stopped the Vong Coral Skippers who were attacking the tramp freighter ferrying them off world. The Jedi had to help repair the heavily damaged freighter in order to allow it to reach hyperspace and freedom. One of his rescuers, Jedi Master Kyp Durron, sensed the boy’s potential as a force user; something that explained his strange sense that made him a adequate pickpocket. Finding out the boy was an orphan, Master Durron arranged for the boy to be taken to the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4 for training.

The boy entered the academy and excelled in his studies, and even survived Vong attack on the Academy on Yavin 4 and continued his Jedi training on Ossus. There he stayed until his 18th birthday when it was decided he should now learn from ‘real world’ experiences.

Having excelled at Piloting Starfighters, Ronan participated in several Jedi battles during the Second Galactic War when Darth Cadeus, formally Jacen Solo, attempted to overthrow the New Republic; it was a great eye opening experience and now a full fledged Jedi he had been sent here to Sullast to oversee the testing of new fighters commissioned for the Jedi.

Ronan came back to the present as he felt the landing gear of the Firespray touch down and he reached out with his senses and he could feel the Force around him. Even though he couldn’t see out of the blacked out ship, he knew he was on Sullast.

Rising from his chair he checked his things more out of habit than necessity. His hands ran down to his belt where his two light sabers hung, one to either side. On the left, he found the guard style light saber which usually drew the most attention from onlookers. It’s strange hilt was longer than a standard saber and had a odd grip protruding 90° out the side about 2/3rds up the shaft (ooc: think tonfa sticks). It was a unique weapon which many at the academy had found too strange to attempt and even tougher to defend against it unusual twirling attack.

On his right side, hung a more normal looking light saber, except for it’s curved hilt which caused the blade, when ignited, to protrude at an odd angle which made opponent have to cope with it’s unusual angle of attack. Both of these weapons suited their master’s unique style and tastes and everyone who knew him were not surprised at his differences when he had constructed them.

Straightening his robe over his 1.7 meter frame, the Zabrak let his hood remain on his shoulders revealing a series of vestigial horns sprouting from the top of his head and long straight black hair from the crown down to his shoulders; to most humans he was an awe inspiring sight as Zabraks were not often seen outside of their homeworld of Iridonia or refugee camps across known space.

Reaching into the seat next to him, he hoisted a small soft sided bag and slipped the strap over his shoulder and exited the Firespray once the gangplank had been lowered. He paused at the doorway and squinted his eyes against the sudden brilliance that was Sullast. Seeing a Sullastan female waiting at the end of the gnagway, he proceeded down to her. When she introduced herself as BelI, head of private investments and contracts for KTIndustries, he responded in kind.

“Greetings Beli,” he said softly in common, “I am Jedi Ronan Bruel.”

Introductions over, Ronan followed Beli as she made her way down into the secured area of what he assumed was KTI Industries. He said nothing as they walked, his eyes taking in everything around him. His force senses stretched out trying to ‘feel’ everything around him. Jedi Master Kam Solusar had always told him to be mindful of the force and everything around him and to listen to what it had to say; “It might save your life.” he had said time and again.

Reaching his luxurious quarters he entered with Beli and turned to the Sullastian and bowed his head to her.

“These quarters are far more than a simple Jedi is use to, thank you!,” he said with a smile, “Now, can you tell me if everything with the project is satisfactory and when can the test flights begin?”

He walked over to the bed and laid his small bag on it and glanced about the room as he waited for her to respond to his question. He didn’t expect any problems as he had been told this should be a routine assignment but he had also been warned that certain factions might have learned of this project and to be wary of any complications.

(OOC: Thank you all for having me.. I hope I can live up to any expectations. )

Addressing Jedi Ronan Bruel

Beli stood in the doorway of the apartment with little expression on her face, but what was their was sadness, she was thinking about something that had past or a tragic predicted. She was in a sort of trance like state just following Ronam around with her gaze, it was only when he looked at her that she snapped out of it.
"Everything is in order."
Was her reply as moved her hands behind her back,
"The test flights will begin tomorrow, you'll be testing it's maneuverability first, then the weapons system at about mid-day. Lastly the team here at KTI would like you
to test the ships hyper-space capabilities."
She turned to leave but the remembered one last thing.
"Also we would like you to attend a small presentation after the test flight and you are free to view the craft at your leisure, it will be in the landing bay you arrived in within the hour."

The door slid close behind her with a hiss.

The door slid close behind her with a hiss.

Ronan could sense Beli’s uneasiness but it didn’t seem as if she were in trouble or that she was lying, so he thanked her as she left the room. He stood there for a moment, stretching out his force senses trying to get a feel if there was any thing wrong here that he should be aware of.

(Let me know if he senses anything)

He examined his room and found a small locker where he put his small bag which contained only a few minor items he might need but most of his necessary items were kept on his person.

(OOC: If he does not feel anything is wrong through the force)

Ronan sits down upon the floor in a meditative posture and closes his eyes and begins to meditate and clear his mind of distractions, to let the force flow through him, to feel what it is the force has in store for him. He will mediate like this until the hour is up and then he will rise, leave his room and retract his steps to the landing bay where the craft should be waiting.

(OOC: If the senses something wrong)

Ronan concentrates and tries to determine what it is that he felt; someone in trouble, something wrong regarding the new craft? If he can locate it source he will attempt to leave his room to investigate. Follow the feeling to it’s source.
