heh

A very good point. They made a whole lot of deal about how Superman can't be hurt by a bullet, but there are these little loopholes like hurled revolvers that really get him

My Problem With Superman

In the comics and the animated series' of the 90s, Lex Luthor was a serious threat to Superman. He was this serious criminal mastermind who actually was a genuis, as opposed to Kevin Spacy (Who can well do evil. See Se7en.) prancing around all raving lunatic setting up a one-liner with every second sentence. Also, It's alright if you want to see Lex Luthor on the big screen, but not in every movie. I'd be more forgiving if he was the one supervillian devoid of any superpowers who insisted on fighting the dude who could throw a bus through a building. I think you can fix the whole "Superman movies suck" problem by getting him some deicent villians to fight. Oh, and for Superman being a wuss, whoever said that, go back and watch the old 90's DC cartoons. Batman, Superman, Justice League, whatever. Superman was essentially the straight guy that everyone became interesting by reacting to everyone else doing their thing. I'm just saying that charecter-wise, he works better on a team.

Movies

To enjoy Superman Returns, you have to understand what it was. As a movie on its own, yes, it sucks.... but that's not what it was meant to be. It was an homage to the old Christopher Reeves movie, and on that front, it succeeded spectacularly well. That said - Superman is utter crap. Least interesting character ever created. You know why he works better on a team? Because he's more of a prop than a character, and you need characters to make a story worth anything.

At first, I loved the idea of the Ghost Rider movie, then, partway through, I realized it was special effects, and Nick Cage's head didn't actually get lit on fire, and that ruiined it for me.

The X-Men movies had a lot of good points (Nightcrawler is awesome), but Wolverine annoys the piss out of me. Also, I prefer traditional X-Men... you know, where Juggernaut isn't a mutant, etc...

Spider-Man was great, the sequels significantly less so, but not so bad they weren't worth the price of admission.

Fantastic 4 I refuse to watch because there's no way to do it right as live-action, and Doom is the greatest villain ever, and they made him look like a reatrd.

Hulk I liked. The ending annoyed me, but I liked it.

I wait impatiently for Thor and Captain America, two of my top three favorites, and judging by Iron Man and Hulk, likely to be awesome.

My great hope is that this X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie will be successful enough to encourage more Origins movies, but not so successful as to encourage more Wolverine movies. The Nightcrawler origin story is awesome in all ways it is possible to rock, especially if they go with the version from the comics where [SPOILER AHEAD] Mystique turns out to be his mother. Rebecca Romaine needs more reason to get on a giant screen wearing nothing but blue latex.

The deal with X-Men

Ryst, with regard to you wanting a Nightcrawler movie, they've already planned out a whole lot of the deal with Origins. They're doing prequels/origin stories to all the most important charecters in the Bryan Singer movies. Meaning Wolverine, which you all know about. And Magneto is scheduelled to follow that up. After that, I suspect they're gonna do Professor X.

Oh, and Babaloo, They were going to do a third Batman movie, but after Heath Ledger died, it kinda went up in the air. See, Chris Nolan was gonna bring The Joker back as his ace-in-the-hole to ensure movie quality. But seeing as how that don't look likely, that whole deal's been reconsidered. Quoth the Nolan himself, "How many series' can you name that are still good at number three?"

He's not flat out saying no, but nothing's been confirmed or denied at this point, although it does look like it's sliding towards the latter.

hmm

I am hoping for Harley and Ivy in the next movie if he makes one. Maybe get a vocal impersonator and do some shadowy prison scenes with Harley and Joker or something. It would be enough to keep Joker involved but off-screen.

I'm hoping for the Penguin to be completely honest. Someone mentioned Philip Seymour Hoffman and I found it too awesome to not hope of it.

well

Penguin and Riddler are sort of joke villians. Two face is good but they killed that idea.

There was a comic of Batman dealing with a former vigilante come back. Don't remember the name but a red leather outfit and a skull head. I think it was Batman Year Two. That could be a good story.

I beleive you're thinking of "The Reaper" but I doubt they'd go that route as the story is heavily influenced by Joe Chill, who in the movies they killed.

Pengy

Last I heard Nolan wouldn't use the Penguin or Catwoman because they are hard to do realistically, which is the take this time round.

My 1.98 cents

I think Wolverine is going to end up topping my list, but for now, Iron Man is my fave.

Origins

I really like the trailer for the X-men: Origin movie about Wolverine. The Origin series is one of the best ever put out by Quesada's regime, imo, since the new millenium. Now I know not to get my hopes up super high about how much from that mini-series is included, but I was very pleasantly surprised to see a very close version to the childhood setting.

I hope they utilize some of the plot twists and play the childhood set like they do in the Origin plotline. I would explain them, but I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read the series.

I was a little surprised at Wade Wilson being casted as Ryan Reynolds, but I figure Reynolds could play a pretty good crazy assassin dude. Hopefully he wears the mask more often than not though. He's only got one flash in the trailer and he isn't. The mask is one of the trademark features of Deadpool.

I'm excited for the Avengers and Thor movies, and Transformers 2, as well. I would like to see a Hawkeye movie made. I don't think it would be nearly as hard to do as a story like the Hulk, especially if you modelled the character off of Ultimate Hawkeye from Ultimates 1 & 2 (U3 takes him back to a masked costume and an attitude more attributable to Bullseye of Daredevil fame).

That and a Doom or Nova movie. That would be sweet.

I think

They need to go something about Gambit.

Cajun men who have exploding cards and long metal poles are always awesome.
