Elendara

Just as himself and Efferi had passed the Arborus guild when the elven champion exited, he couldn't recall her name but they were close to racial kin and they shared a racial heritage. Both races hated Loth and her followers, something they would have to overcome.

"Your traveling very light I see. I wish I was able to travel as light as you do."
It was an invite into the conversation, quite forward for his race. He was making the effort to include the halfling and elf in conversation, they weren't friends but companions and will still have to prove themselves but why should this be coldness. He'll have to see how they act about the drow and half-orc, he had never seen their kind before but they were savage races, to be treated with more caution then other races might, even more then the elves do. But...

"Menti lintu onlita op avel dontila venila."

Eledara

Elendara looks over to the raptorean, assessing what she sees, for that is all she had to go on for now. They had only been introduced my name earlier today.

"Indeed I do. I have all I need. I can live off the land if necessary.

Elendara herself needed very little as long as they traverse in the wilds of forest and field. Her aim was true and she could bring down something if necessary to feed herself and others as well of that she had no doubt.

Not understand what it said though It sounded like speech of some sort Elendara asks the male to translate. What does that mean? Is it in your language?"

Don't belong.

Drizzt is walking away from his guild and sees the the group of champions and walks in and introduces himself.

"Hello. I saw you guys and wanted to see what was going on. And if you're wondering, I'm not like my kind. If I was I wouldn't be here. Many people think wrong of me and some try to kill me, those end up dead. I am less bloodthirsty than the rest of my kind. I know when someone means harm, I don't rush in for the kill like the rest of them."

Drizzt looks around the group and wonders about the raptorean.

"I've studied your king before, Raptoreans. I hear they are a great race of shapeshifters but now I find that those are only half raptoreans. You are full-fledged Raptorean."

He stares at the group again and feels like he doesn't belong. He leaves and goes back to the castle.

Curiosity killed the cat, doncha know?

The half drow had introduced himself, yet he left almost immediately after. Efferi nodded a farewell to Hunter and Elandra before taking off after the dark elf, trying to stay out of sight and hearing. With all the learning he'd received from his father, Drow were always regarded as dangerous. It was for this reason that the halfling tailed the half breed discreetly. As they entered the castle, Efferi decided to make himself known.

"You abandoned Lloth, didn't you?"

If the cat's dead there's noting to eat the bird

Not far from the castle the half-drow approached the small group, he spoke to them for a short wile before leaving them for the castle. Efferi tailing him and eventually asking a question that would give a revealing answer if he could be trusted to tell the truth. Next time the half-drow comes over to talk his 'knowledge' about the raptoran race will need to be corrected as they had not king and half-breeds were not frown upon and certainly did not have the power to shape shift.

Turning back to Elendara, he had no wish to follow the halfling or drow, he explained to her the meaning of his phrase.

"It means 'A mind opened by wonder is clearer then one closed by belief.' It's tuilvilanuue, a phrase common among my people reminding us to always seek a new view on everything.
He shifted his bow from his hand so it rested over his shoulder, he wouldn't be able to open his wings without knocking it down and it was visibly an awkward place for it to be. He then added an afterthought.

"Would you be able to teach me your language? I've wished to learn elvish for a wile. I'd be willing to teach you tuilvilanuue if you wanted."

Elendara

Yes, In exchange for you teaching me your language," the elven woman replied as they continued walking towards the castle. On the walk Elendara contemplated what her guild mistress had told her.

As the drow half-breeds approach she lifted her eyes and kept them steady on the dark=though not black skinned figure. Each had been shosen by ther respective guilds to serve the king but the ages-old animosity for Drow kind ws not easily put aside. An for one so unknown to her to carry such blood, well she would have to work on that. depending on this person's own actions.

As he introduced himself to the raptor and herself she nodded to him. and listened politely to what he had to day,

The raptorean's question to the half-drow was surprisingly to the point. Blunt to tell the truth but Elendara listen and watch the man as he replied. It truth lay in the eyes and the language of the body.

Yes.

"Yes. I abandoned Lolth, she didn't want me there. No one did. I ran away with my panther, Guenhwyvar and we have stuck together since. My own family tried to kill me just because I didn't have the same aspects on life and death as they did."

"They believed if you did not do as ordered or defied someone that punishes you without cause, they have the right to kill."

Drizzt looks into the Halflings eyes and then looks away.

"I know what you're thinking. My kind can do that but they say you have to be a High Priest or Priestess but I learned how to do it on my own. You think I'm not like other Drow. You think that the others belive I'm like the rest of my kind... well, I'm not. So if you expect answers from me you better ask quickly because after we see the king I may not answer any more questions."

Drizzt continues walking to the castle.

Chuckle

Efferi laughed softly to himself. "Ah, you know much, but yet you're ignorant. In this, I am serious. I'd curb the attitude if you want to stay alive in the city. This place is full of cut throats who wouldn't think twice about using any dirty trick they could to kill you. So unless you can take on whole oranizations with those scimitars, watch your back and your words. Just some friendly advice." Efferi fell back to the raptoran.

"Give the drow some leniency. He's disoriented. Or plain crazy. Hahahahahaa."

...........

Drizzt walks up behind the halfling and grabs his shoulder.

"Don't be saying that I should watch my step. I was born in a place many times worse than this if you remember. I should be the one giving you advice. I know what I'm doing. And I hope you remember I can read your mind. I heard you tell the raptoran that I'm confused."

Drizzt shoves the halfling to the ground and pulls out his scimitars.

"Do I look like I don't know what I'm doing?"

Hehehe

Efferi laughed from the ground.

"You kill me and you'll be struck dead from the shadows. And just remember this. You're used to the subterrean. The sun up here just might blind you if you aren't careful."

Efferi wasn't worried. On his way down, his hand crossbow found its palm, and he had a bolt ready to hit the drow's neck should he come any closer.

"You don't know the underside of the surface. This isn't your element."

Elendara

Elendara frowned at the by play between the two males. They halts suddenly

"Enough of such talk. I do not think that the topic of you conversation is appropriate for those who have been selected to work together. Threats will divide is not unite us Decide now is you can work with all the members of this group or remove yourself from it. We do not need dissension in our ranks."

"Do it now so that you can be replaced."

This male display has not part if their mission.

Halflings and Drow

The advise from Efferi soon proved very true as the drow shoved the halfling to the ground, his true colors had been shown, the drow could not be trusted so it was just as well that he himself was nocturnal like the drow was subterranean. There had been no warning and no time for mediation, this was a time for action and by his judgement the drow was a risk to them all.

He did not however draw his weapons, this was a show of might, a threat, and although the halfling should watch his words there was no need for it. But he'd be ready, he knew which quarter danger would come from if there was infighting. It was good of the elf, although her name could still not be recalled, to stop this but he himself wouldn't, he just stood where he was watching the action unfold, judging them their own actions. Besides, he couldn't fight well with the bow on his shoulder.

If the drow didn't put his weapons away and turned on the she elf then he would have no choice but to intervene.

(OOC: I'm readying an action, if Drizzt doesn't sheaf his weapons and turns on the elf then Hunter will draw his own weapons)

Still.

"Just because I'm not like my kind, Efferi, doesn't mean I won't kill you if you give me reason."

The drow sheathed his blades and walked away.

"Come Guenhwyvar." and the Drow put up a stone idol of a panther and purple mist came around him and a panther appeard black as night with ghostly green eyes.

The cat and drow walked to the castle together feeling quite happy to see eachother again.

Hunter

With the drow walking away, he didn't deserve being called by his name. As he had proved he was different or better then his own kind, OK maybe he hadn't tryed to kill them all yet but he was still just as bad as them. He was tempted to watch the drow as he walked away towards the castle, traveling with him would be intolerable and in a normal situation he would return to his flock to debate what he should do. Should he risk his life twice by going on this mission and going on it with the drow? Should he confront the king and request that the drow not be permitted to come? Should he take the next opportunity to alleviate the problem himself? Or should he wait and be ready for the drow's next action?

There wasn't the time for a discussion as they were meeting with the king imminently and he was not permitted to return to his flock. He didn't yet trust the others to talk openly about the subject so that wasn't an option. Maybe the most prudent course would be to warn the drow about what would happen if he stepped out of line but then the female elf wouldn't... he wasn't meant to have relationships before he completed the walk.

Walking over to in front of the halfling he reach down to pull him up, a hand, if needed or not, is something usually well received. In the process of doing this he mouthed a few words so that only Efferi could see what he was saying. They were not for anyone else.

(OOC: His words are really not for anyone else so I'm PMing them to Bezmir himself.)

We're here.

"We're here buddy. Sorry but you can't come in with me."

The cat whimpers a little.

"I know, I know. Sorry." and the Drow pets the pantehr and puts the idol on it's forhead and the same purple mist brings the panther back into the idol.

Drizzt runs up to the champions again and looks at the halfling then at the raptoran.

"I know I was out of hand earlier but it's just my childhood getting to me. Please forgive my attitude, you wouldn't belive me if I told you how hard it was. Come on let's get back to the king. He wouldn't want us to linger around to long. We may talk more on our own time when ity comes."
