Questions and answers

currently there is no sign of Victor or any other Nightstalkers in the bar.

(But then again you havn't been upstairs)

and Brodeur, by your post it seems you want to target the wraith like creature, but you are downstairs where only the skeletal warrior stands. Am I to assume you'll target that one?

Now that I think about it ...

Since I was already upstairs as of my first post, in my next post I mention going to guard the messenger/interviewer. Have I even been up there long enough to know what room he is in before all aitch-E-double-hockey-sticks breaks out below?

If not, then I need to amend my post to show that I am en-route to do the intended action ...

What about the door?

I want to get really really close so i think the best way is coming up behind him. Is there a door i can sneak out of?

well technically

the front door is still there, abou twn feet to the left of the hole in which the skeleton stands.

More than a few patrons have run throguh it in an attempt to escape.

Since you're new Spiders

When casting a spell within melee range of an enemy you provoke attacks of opportunity, what this means it in all likelyhood the skeletal figure will attack you while you try to cast your cure moderate wounds into it.

If you'd like to change your post so be it, if not we'll see how the dice favour you.

Pfui !

Looks like Silcoravaman may miss out on some fun in this encounter ... or maybe not ... but it's possible ... but then again ... [sits on the edge of his chair and twitches and twiddles in anticipation]

C'mon, Kaelyn!

Kuri

the upstairs is just a private meeting room, table, couches, fireplace hearth. The iron boar is a tavern, not an inn, so there aren't private rooms in that sense of the word, which is why everyone was able to freely go upstairs.

also

If Kuri runs downstair, then back up, you're on the same level as the Wraith-like thing that floated up there and i cackling.

For description purpoes, there is a single double shutter window in the private room, about 4' across by 2' tall. The shutters are closed and latched currently.

While we're at it...

From what little I know of 3rd edition would I be correct in thinking that undead don't take damage from sneak attacks?

Also, are there any handy chandeliers or rafters for Vyarp to clamber up if he wanted to skip the line and hurry upstairs?

Thanks Kaelyn

No, Silcoravaman didn't go downstairs. What he saw was from his vantage point at the top of the stairs, just before he had his "sudden flash of inspiration". So I guess the only folks he had to "motivate" to move were those crowding through the door (?) ...

No changes. Thanks for clarifying. Good job!

correct

without some sort of prestige class or magical aid, undead are unaffected by critical hits or sneak attack

as for chandelier, unfortunately there are none that woud be within reaching distance, only a few hanging sconces not full chandeliers, affixed to the rafters

Question ...

This picture may be a little busy, but would it help?

An Interesting Tavern Scene
