I didnt really think about it, i built him to help the front lines. I am not good at the whole range killing so i specialized in the melee. My bad. So how bout that expensive bow sell.

"SIl, we belive you. Strange enough things have happened" Riddle calmly states putting as much care and concern in his voice as he knows how.
" Well the way i see it we have a couple options, one is a fools choice, test it by sending someone into it. Another being try and dispell it. And the last being find another way around. If any one has rope we could shoot it across and sjimmy across that. Those at the moment are the only i see." With that riddle pauses and looks at the group waiting for a reply

Topic: Good D&D Novels of the Last Decade?
Subject: well
I am an avid reader of FR books and there are a couple seiries that i have read that arent mentioned yet dont quite know if they are in the date perionds or not but there is the Elminster series by ed greenwood< the grammer is a little off but its written well enough. And the Cleric Quinted, dont remember who the author is but the first book is Canticle. i am sure you have probably read these though

Subject: Sorry in Advance
As i belive we all know i am in the US Coast Guard as active duty witch means i am away from computers alot due to time at sea. Now, as of yet that hasent been a problem due to the ship i am on being in need of repairs. Well the ship just recently got its repairs and now we are looking at a 60+ day patrole into the barring sea, and yes that is were worlds deadliest catch is shot. So i will possibly be absent of awhile, assuming all the repairs are done. If i am away forgive me.

riddle packs his supplies taking with a few more daggers. He quickly looks over his own gear for anything that might be missin and fills it in. As they aproach the tunnle billy offers to take point.
"I will take point billy i will take point i am more akin to nature and will notice anything out of the ordinary with it, besides i am used to bein point, it is kinda my role as a guide. Your services might be better served here defending our party memebers.
"
With that riddle walks to the front of the group and slips just out of sight

Subject: A Welcomed wake
Siliwen moved quietly over to where Riddle was half leaning against his own knees and sat down close to him.
Finally Riddle showed signs of stirring and woke shaking his head as if in disbelief, apparently a bit chagrined at himself for having slept.
"You needed to sleep, Riddle, your body finally just made it happen." Siliwen comment softly. "We must all be strong to face what comes. But thank you for staying awake before I sleep it made me feel safer to know you were," Siliwen laid her hand softly on his lest arm as she said this.
"Now let us get something to eat and prepare for the day," she says with a warm smile.
Riddle heeds her words still a little upset at having fallen asleep. he takes a quick survey and notes the missing dwarves. As he finishes this he turns to Siliwen and says
"You are welcome I would not be able to live with my self if i had let anything happen to any of you. And my thanks to you for the lovely wake up." As he finishes this he turns to her and smiles"
Meanwhile Siliwen digs in her backpack for rations. Hmmm, Shall I have the this or this, she says with a soft laugh, as she holds up to identical packages of trail elven rations.
Riddle smiles at the jest and looks into her eyes.
"I think you need not eat either i do believe that our kind dwarven friends have provided food for us"

Subject: forgive me i without writing abilities and have little time
The Dwarven Leader looks over the group as both Thor and Siliwen plead their case; when they mention the name Alacran his eyes returned quickly to them.
“We know that name,” he said sternly, “the mage is a true friend of the Grey Dwarves and has helped us from time to time in what matter he could without drawing down the Dark One’s power full upon us.”
“That you know of Alacran and speak his name so freely, “ the leader continued as the other dwarves seemed to relax even further with the mention of their general acquaintance, “is a great boon. However… THAT needs some explaining.” He concluded by pointing at the party’s dark companion who has not moved since they stopped for the night.
“He is obviously a keen to the Shelnak,” the leader said as he gazed at the shadowy figure, “yet he does not have the reek of evil about him. Where did you get him?”
Siliwen steps forward and explains the strange tale of our as yet to be named friend
The elder dwarf nods and smiles a little, “It sounds like Alacran then.”
A dwarf comes rushing into the group and whispers to the leader who nods and gestures to his men, “We have company. A group of Kree approach, we must leave. I suggest you come with us, maybe we can aid each other.”
Without waiting for a reply, the dwarves turn and head off towards the peaks.
As the dwarves turn their backs to the party and begin to walk away riddle draws the attention of the rest of the group as quitely as he can
" I hate to bring this up again but we were forwarned not to trust anyone with out our mark. I know i might just be a little over carefull but so far that has kept me alive.The Dark one and his agents could know alacrans name he did say they had made it far. May hap's we should just move forward and be wary huh?"
As they follow the dwarves as they make an easier path through the rocks for the party and their mounts, Riddle takes the oppertunity to ask the dwarven leader some key details about the differing enimies about the land. Weaknesses things that might scare off some. During Riddles questioning they move up through a ravine till just shortly past dawn when the dwarves uncover a hidden cavern which they gestured the group into as they themselves entered.
They find a large cavern, big enough for all of them and their mounts, which looks like it is used a lot as a resting/hiding place since there are makeshift stables, with hay, grain and water, some cots, tables and chairs. As they enter the dwarves are moving about lighting torches and as soon as everyone is inside, the entrance closes again; a large stone moved into place by an intricate set of counterweights and levers.
“Make yourselves at home,” the leader says, “You look like you need rest. It will be safe here. I suggest you get some sleep, the night was not kind to you and you will need your strength for the coming battle.”
As the rest of the group begins to make preperations to sleep Riddle walks to were the entrence closed and rests his back against it and watches the group. He then pulls out his dagger and begins cleaning the dirt from under his nails and quickly loosing himself in contemplation, every once in awhile looking up as one of his companions stir in their sleep.

As the dwarf speaks riddle, to their group riddle tenses just a little. He never did like being surprised in the middle of the night. Even though these dwarfs were a friendly there constant state of readiness put riddle a little more on edge, what if they deemed something that was said as not true. As thor began to speak riddle tensed a little more, knowing the risk Thor was taking. Looking around to see were Siliwen was at riddle starts to formulate what little of a battle plan he can, hoping all the while not to need it.

As they reach the new camp riddle quickly sets about finding food sources for the horses and laying his usual traps. as siliwen settles in he finds a place for himself to rest some were near her. He watches the group move about doing their usual routines, mild amusment showed on his face

As Riddle watched thor quickly put the last two of there enimies down riddle took a quick survey during this Billy spoke his words with siliwen.
Riddle calmly walked up beside his big friend.
"I truly belive that he deserved a warriors death of honor, but what is done is done my big friend and we can not have any hostility amongst us. We are but a small group fighting a larger force we need to work as one. Perhaps he sits in the halls of his god despite."
With this said riddle found his horse and quickly mounted it turning it to face the group he says
"We need to get moving, and now they will be back soon enough and we need to put space between us and them"

Riddle stunned by the blow quickly rolled out of the way of the charging horse knowing he had to protect siliwen. As riddle stood up he shouted " We need to form up. Alea get close to the fighters for healing. Silliwen get in the middle and lets take care of these archers." with that he began to move twoard silliwen again trying to form some sort of battle formation, this seemed a little to chaotic as he moved he whistled for his horse hoping she would hear him above all the noise.
(if the man charges riddle again he will drop to one knee and focus on the horses legs using his scims take out one or both of the front hopefully dismounting the ridder.)

As soon as Riddle landed he took quick iniciative one of his scims had flown out of his hands in the fall but he still held his other he quickly drew his dagger and finished off this opponent with a slice to the throat. not missing a beat he grabed at his lost scimtar and rushed to set himself in a defensible possition in front of siliwen, as he did this he wondered what had happended to her spell.

Riddle quickly startled upon seein this creature his hands quickly when to the scimitars resting on his belt, he felt no need to draw them right away seein as his friends were already armed. He quickly palace himself in between siliwen and the creature. As siliwen bade it to walk out into the light it obliged but still never said a word. This set Riddle to thinking, perhaps this is the helper Alacran was talking about.

syanide growing more than a little annoyed at the circumstances surrounding him, how dare ren just turn his back on him. Syanide walked to the car that ren had gotten in. Syanide knocked on the window and not to gently.
" I already told you we are to INVESTIGATE the reasons why this vampire turned to smoke and goo instead of dust"
came syanides voice clam and colected but in it Ren could hear the under tone of anger

Ren put on his best surprised smile as he walked on to greet Syanide, keeping his eyes on his, completely ignoring the rather large gun in his hand.
"Mister Syanide, what a pleasant surprise, what brings you to this sullen part of town?"
He asked with his normal calm smooth voice, ignoring the loud noises coming from within the house behind him.
"I was sent to find you," Syanide states blatently as he puts his gun away, ignoring the sounds in the house as well.
"I was told to get your help in investigating something" Syanide quickly relays the details. As he finishes he looks to ren "well what do you think?"

Subject: Skipping to the point
through the woods. The water seems ok, but it is has a slightly stagnant taste as if it had sat still for too long, despite its constant flow towards the South. They hear no wildlife here, the woods are quiet and the air here seems still and stale smelling. It is as if the proximity of this place to the Grey Mountains is somehow tainting it slowly over time.
Watches are again set and people begin to turn in to bed, but the strange silence seems to nag at each of them making it hard to fall asleep at first. Once asleep they sleep peacefully, no nightmares and the night passes slowly.
It is early morning and Riddle is still on watch, the sun has not yet started to brighten the sky to the West above the large ridge which he can see that separates the upper land from the lower land where they are now camped. The cliff face is several hundred feet high and the mountains seem to jut out of the ground directly in the path of the cliff as if barring its way. He can only imagine the great upheaval that would have caused such a rift in the ground to occur. If the rumors they had heard were true, this was where a great battle between the gods happened and that is why the stone they are looking for was lost somewhere beneath the mountains.
As Riddle stood watch, keenly listening for any sounds and watching through the trees to towards the West, Siliwen stirred slightly.
Riddle noticing the stiring moves calmly to siliwns side intending to genly wake her up, and sooth her, from what he can only assume to be another nightmare as soon as he whispers her name her eyes open and stare beyond him at something.....
(i will leave it there since i dont really know the nature of this creature)
