" Look kid I don't swing that way I appreciate the offer...as for my hair if you are actually interested, call it a gift from... my extended family heh"

"I see." he said, "My brother is the one in line to inherit in my family." Miguel leaned back on his bedroll. "Father always wanted me to take on the family business, though. Bogdan never really had a head for numbers." Miguel settled on his bedroll, staring at the cave ceiling.

"Oh, that's Bogdan my brother, by the way, not Bogdan the horse. They're completely different people. The horse has better manners."

"So, you hair turns silver in moonlight, then, hey? Cool."

"I apologise if I'm prying into things you don't want to share. You're the new and mysterious one, and as a bard I'm compelled to listen to new stories."

The shambler had the elk trapped and screaming in the viney mess of its body. Miguel cringed as he witnessed the summon's sacrifice only a few feet from where he was standing. He was relieved to know that his wildlife friend would be returning unharmed and safe to its native plane. Thank you for you services friend, he thought while singing to the elk as he vanished.

The combined efforts of the party managed to turn the shambler to flee, but Zeran wasn't done. He took a wild shot and brought the shambler down.

Moving to get a better positioning, Kyrie set aside her shield temporarily as she stabbed the sickle with a downward strike, using both hands, directly into the core of the vegetative mass.

Miguel sheathed his sword after it was dead. He approached Kyrie and gently placed his hand on her right shoulder. "It's dead, Kyrie." He helped her back to her feet and held up her shield to take.

Giles returned to the darkness of the cave his hair turning back to its natural shade of black upon leaving the light of the moon. After a moment of star gazing Miguel decided it was time for him to return to nights shelter. Giles was still settling onto his bedroll. "You know, it's a beautiful night out there," he told the soldier casually. "Lovely moon." He smiled innocently for a moment, then added. "By the way, I like the hair."

Miguel jumped away when Jargon came to. He didn’t want to get too close to an angry horse just waking up. After Frodrick calmed her down, he went in to cast another healing spell on her only to see her already healing up at the pool.

The bard poked the water with a finger. “Well, that’s interesting.” He looked around the freshly dusted shrine grounds. “Phew, what a wind.”

He watched as Giles ran his experiments with the magic water. “We should ask Jhod what he thinks about all this. I bet he’d know a thing or two about what’s going on here. It’s his god, after all.”

It looked like everyone was doing alright now, despite the panic of a moment ago. “Y’know, that wasn’t so bad after all. And look, saved a dude! Probably. We’re helping!” He put on a bright enthusiastic smile.

(That Night)
Miguel smiled warmly to Frodrick’s apology. “Between you and me, one old fool to another, we gotta stick together. Don’t worry about it. Besides, it all turned out in the end. Just now we’re a little wiser and we know a little better.” Miguel winked at Frodrick. “Just a little, though, or else there’d be no adventure left. “

“I just wonder what that old man’s story was. There’s so many unsolved mysteries out here, it’d be nice if we could actually figure one or two of them out.”

Miguel leaned forward uncomfortably under the tarp. He glanced up at the sky hoping the wind would blow the storm past them. However he could only feel the wind getting worse--then the shit hit the fan all at once.

The lightning flashed and Miguel could only stare in blissful terror at the sky, held by the raw majesty he witnessed. It was both beautiful and terrifying at the same time.

He didn't snap out of it until seconds later the tarp pulled his attention away from the spectacle. Without the lightning it was completely dark and now he was soaking wet, too. He realized the danger they were in suddenly.

The bard focused his mind on his hands and voice to make movements he couldn't see and words he could just hear, ushering forth four beads of light and sending them into the air to the party's aid.

Miguel picked up his potion from the ground and put it back in his belt. Wouldn't be good to go losing that. The others talked with the kobold for a little while and he just listened, trying to paint a picture of its motives. Soon the others began discussing among themselves.

He turned to Poro. “Where do the mites reside? So far all we've seen are the bodies from your war.”

(Assuming Poro tells him, and it's nearby)
Miguel turned to the rest of the group. “Let's not get ahead of ourselves,” he told the others. “We can assume the kobolds are badly weakened by this war, and would not be in the position to attack a new enemy immediately.”

“Besides, there's no need to put ourselves at the mercy of the kobolds. This mite den doesn't sound too far away. I think it couldn't hurt to remove the threat of the mites and maybe make friends in the process. We can worry about what the kobolds do later, if they prove unwilling to cooperate. Personally, I think the little guys are adorable.” He looked down at Poro. “Or girls... I don't know.”

“Let's go tomorrow and check this place out.”

Farmers

What a rude bunch, animals have to eat sometime. Good show Frodrick he handled that with ease and no bloodshed he's getting better at communicating, good on him. The bard went back to is bird watching, nature is always wonderful this time of year, we even aided saving another creature, day well spent. He then laid back in the cart hands folded behind his head humming along as they went.

At camp

Once the group reached a halt Miguel sat up from his rest full cloud watch to retrieve Bogdin from his harness, 'Lets get you some food' stroking the horse's neck as he led it to the stack of Hay in the barn. Miguel's stomach grumbled 'You have your now, I need some of my own.' The man pulled out a stick of dry bread to munch on, and paused a moment to inspect the crusty beating stick that was once food. 'waist not, wont not'

Miguel sat up groggy hair in a mess, “wha? What's going on.” he tried to rub the sleep from his eyes. (...) “A person? What are they doing in the wild at this time of night.” He stood up sluggish from his slumber, “I'll try to give us some more light.” He began to channel one of his basic spells (Dancing lights) in the direction of the scream at the edge of his vision. “Looks like her light went out. We should see if she's okay.” He then drew his weapon and stared off in to the fog. “This is going to be a long night.”

Miguel cleaned his sword on the edge of the spiders den and sheathed it. Why did it have to be spiders. Maneating spiders. He shivered at the thought, he glanced down the tunnle then climbed into it, “It's really quite smelly down here.”

Climb: Take 10 = 16

An amulet. Zeran seems to like this kind of this stuff, Miguel trying not to touch the body unclasped it from the man along with the sword. Looking for a bit longer he found some gold crowns. Okay, lets get out of here it's dark, smelly, sticky and this poor fella should get some privacy. What do we have here? Miguel spotted a slip of paper in mans boot.

Climb: Take 10

Miguel brought the goods to the cart. “Than was unpleasant, watch your selves it might be a bit sticky.” He commented wiping his hands off. "I also found this," he opened the sheet looks like a map of some kind. He handed it off to Krii. "What do you make of this?"

Miguel cut off his song mid verse and released his body into a sigh. “Huagh, thank the gods that over, that was cutting it close.” He turned to Frodrick and gave a half-bow “Thanks Pop's you and Jargon probably saved my life, glad you got my back. And I owe Jargon a carrot.” He said winking in response to the dwarf's bristly reaction to Zeran “I take that drink Cayden knows I need one.”

While the rest took care of rounding up the prisoners, the bard collapsed in an empty wagon, “wake me with dinners ready.” He covered his face and waved his hand around at no one.

“We've met once before, Adela was it? From the dance, remember?” Miguel said to the lady. she seemed very familiar, but he's been wrong before. His charming self isn't always a good thing.

" Credit where credit is due, Im sorry I ever doubted ya. Ya had a good plan and it worked sorry I wasnt able to be of more use"

“Thanks! It's the least I could do.” Miguel took Krii's hand and pulled in the taller man in for a hearty shoulder check. “I'm sure out here you'll have plenty of chances to show what your made of.”

Miguel was leaning back in his seat, back to the table, tuning his mandolin while he listened the ongoing discussion. “I think we should put them to work, they would more useful to Oleg alive. Pay him back in hard labour. Besides, a dead man has no reason to talk. But then we could always ask them--see what they think.”

He plucked at the strings lazily as he rolled his head back and stared up at the drab grey sky. Svetlana had said they thought the camp was about a day's ride. “Whatever we do, the camp will probably notice somethings up by tonight. If we want to catch them off guard, we should probably leave today.”

The Musician rose from his roost and walked over to where the bandits' horses where tied up in the yard. He approched a dark bay gelding and stroked it's neck. “I'll call you Bogdan. Oh, you like that name, do you? Yeah we're not so bad.”

He nodded to Krii as the sorcerer rode out, then quickly returned to pampering 'his' horse.

"I have an idea. I'll cast a spell that will let one of you communicate with me at a distance, you four hide in the stables. I'll be on the wall ready to put them in to a magical sleep, I'll give a signal when I'm about to do it. When the spell takes, Krii and Kyrie open the doors for Frodric to charge and Zaren be ready to fire. “Quiet, Slyvia-chan.” Takahashi warned without facing her, “You will draw unneeded attention.” He whipped his blade and quickly sheathed it. Then leaped to the other side of the pit to climb to the bottom at a rapid pace to get a head start on the reinforcements. The tiny waterfall splattered down a few feet away from him on the back of the dead mite, laying facedown in the dirt. Takahashi looked up and placed his hand on the hilt to ready himself for whatever came his way.

"Sylvia pleasure to meet you. As for joining us? Well come on in and say hello to everyone and they can decide. I'm....indecisive." Sylvia spoke with uncertainty. "Over there, the big guy is Oleg his wife is Svetlana. They are our current hosts please be nice and I hope we can talk again soon."

Daitetsu gave another quick bow. “Thank you, uh, Sylvia-san, I shall.” He made a note to greet his host as soon as he could get the chance.

A small green lizard approached him. The little creature intrigued him. He had never seen such a strange race. Truly the west was just as filled with exotic wonders as the travellers' stories told.

“I am Achuak Zhinar, a resident of this area and a walker of the green. I am the newest member of this clan, but none-the-less I wish to welcome you among us. We are in need of strong people, as one before me turned against the group… a traitor is the word? He has joined the bandits, and has become an officer of the Stag Lord."

Daitetsu's jaw set. He had experience with traitors before. It was something of a sore word for him. “Greetings Zhinar-san. I am pleased to hear my strength is welcomed. Regardless what he calls himself, any man who preys upon others has lost his honour. I would be happy to test my blade against such a lord of bandits.”

"I should also tell you that the stress is high at the moment, so please forgive any outbursts from the others.”

That was another thing Takahashi was slowly getting used to. These western people were very prone to displays of emotion. It seemed no one in these lands knew how to restrain themselves.

When Mr. Sakamoto left to do his business, Ray and Galen voiced there thoughts about the mater. "I agree with you two, but that gives me the question." Ian states "How are we to go about presenting that we are diplomats, and not intruders?"

“From the sounds of it, getting close enough to announce ourselves as diplomats will be the bigger challenge, if they are completely shut in. Hopefully they will have some kind of guard that could admit us when we explain our diplomatic intentions.” Owen offered.

“We can only hope that matters haven’t escalated to such a point that we will not be allowed in.” Ian replies, “So lets go, and hope for the best.”

“I'll provide the light,” Ian responded to Ben, while following him toward the barn. “I'll follow you're lead as to how to lead it out of the barn.” Adjusting his hand on the grip and gripping his sword more tightly, Ian watched Ben head in, then followed in to the barn a little after Ben.

The poor creature looks around fruitlessly for its non-existant attacker. “How does it feel!?” Mo shouts, “not as fun now, is it!” He swoops his greatsword up to finish the job. “Now die.” Sending the massive sword down upon him.

Mo turned away from the rat. “Now for you.” Mo shifted his ice-cold gaze to the wolf. He guided the horse to face the wolf. He then galloped towards him. “You’ll pay for what you have done!” Mo brought the sword up in both hands, to begin his assault. First he swung sideways, then brought it down.

(That’s an attack action hopefully killing the rat. A move action to the wolf. Then a full attack action on said wolf.
P.S. If rat not dead attack again then the move to wolf then attack.

Mortimer simply tried to follow Mitsuru, trying not to fall off his horse in the process. He would stare at the ground, occasionally glancing up at the others to see if he was on track.

This isn’t so bad thought Mortimer, as he smiled and tightened his grip on the reigns. It's just a horse.

Looking up he saw the several thin plumes of smoke rasing from the smoldering remains of some buildings. His smile faded as he tightened his armour. When they approached the village, he almost forgot he was on the horse. Did the Linsemptus do this? No, can’t be, they're ghost like, Mo questioned himself as he looked down in thought. Doing so, he saw his mount. Startled, he grabbed the saddle and the horse gave a little jump.

Mortimer seemed to be enjoying the ride, other then the balancing. But his face became like stone when he saw the Were Rat snickering. It was them, they did this. He thought with conviction, They don’t deserve to live.

"This is our turf, and if you wish to pass, you'll need to pay the toll." He says, his voice rough and coarse coming from a form more suited for growling and howling than talking. "So... your things or your lives... what will it be?" All this did, was rune Mo’s mood further.

"We should kill them," Dusk said in a low voice. "We can spare the time and it will be good to whet our blades upon flesh that exists totally in our world. Retain a sense of victory before despair pushes us beyond our sanity." The giantess gave her assent. Mo just rased his hand to his greatsword in response.

(Once battle commences)

Putting a little pressure to the horses right side, to turn the horse, Mo releases. Now facing his appoint, with a big sweeping motion, Mo slides out his greatsword. Mo’s eyes flashed a dark yellow for a moment, then a very quiet and low-pitched tone arose, it grew louder and louder, within a second it stoped. As a silvery membrane enveloped Mo, and evaporated as soon as it came.

(That was a standard action Power, called Empathetic feedback I’m using 10 Power points. Effect: 'You empathically share your pain and suffering with your attacker. Each time a creature strikes you in melee, it takes damage equal to the amount it dealt to you or 5 points, whichever is less. This damage is empathic in nature, so powers and abilities the attacker may have such as damage reduction and regeneration do not lessen or change this damage. The damage from empathic feedback has no type, so even if you took fire damage from a creature that has immunity to fire, empathic feedback will damage your attacker.' I’m using the Augment, it adds 1 point to the damage per power point, and I’m using Five.)

After the bathhouse, Ian followed everyone to the tailers. After he was fitted, he was garbed in a dark-brown linen tunic with short sleeves. It was shorter then most, it cut off about halfway down his thigh. He wore a leather belt with some pouches, to carry small things along, with a small loop for his sword to rest, and light-brown linen laggings. He then slipped on some wrist length gloves made from supple leather for manoeuvrability. Seeing every one else getting cloaks, he decided to get one himself.

Ian didn’t really know if he wanted a new weapon, when he picked up a longsword it seemed heave and sluggish. That’s odd, I always thought I would be good with a larger sword, I know I seem to favour them. Oh well quicker is better. As Ian wandered along, his eye caught a thinner looking longsword.

Aiden notices Ian looking at the sword on the wall. "You like? That sword is made after the style of the elves--my master is quite good at it. Did you want to see?" “Yes, I like it.” Ian expressing his interest, “May I?” He then takes the sword off the wall. Ian drew it and took a few practice swings. Aidan nodded with approval. “I like it very much. How much is it?” Ian asks.

Aidan looked almost apologetic when he answered, “The process of forging weapons in this style is very demanding, you have to understand. The longblade is ninety gold crowns.” “That’s understandable,” Ian said awhile feeling the blade. “I don’t have enough right now, but I’ll come back with more. And thank you, it’s a nice sword. Though I’ll just take this whetstone for now.”

Owen asked Ian, “So why didn’t you buy a better weapon like everyone else?”
“I was considering it, but the one I wanted was too much to get. Aiden said it was an “Elven-Longblade of some kind. ” Ian explained. “We need a way to get more money...”

At the armoury, he had a hard time deciding over if he wanted the studded leather or plane leather armour. He went for the leather armour.

”We're going to end up being here for a week yes? It would be bad for us to just sit around all day everyday until the end of the week, we should find things to do, like say, a part time job!” Ben proposed to them, “Ray and myself may already have a job, but it won't be happening for awhile, so another job on the side shouldn't hurt, if we wanna find ourselves a job we should find the cities job board.”
“Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.” Ian then goes to his room to drop off anything unnecessary.

And that way we can recognise each other with looks, rather then the face only.”

After his explanation he continued to eat and listened to what the others had to say. “The way I see it, this is the most efficient way of operating and we keep with each other. Ian grumbled around for a while as Ben woke him from his peaceful rest. He realised after a moment it was his turn to take watch, rubbing the sleepiness from his eye he listened.

"I wish for you to join Ray and myself tomorrow, I am sure you are still not too familiar with a sword yet either," Ben explained, so Ian would be filled in for the morning practice, "Oh and it is your turn to keep watching, I'm going to get some shut eye"

“Thank you. I need some instructing, that would be of great help.” Ian was grateful for the innovation and got up out of bed. “Right, night watch, was there anyone other then you and Ray?”

after receiving the answer, Ian went and stood around the camp watching the moon. As the time passed, he paced around the camp careful not the wake anyone. Sometimes he would sit and look around, enjoying the breeze when it came. -So morning training huh, okay I’ll try my best to be the best I can be. After the watch Ian thought about who has taken watch and wandered over to Jeremy wake him.
“It's your turn next for watch. I’m going back to sleep.” Ian informed Jeremy, “By the way so far it’s been Ray, then Ben and Me who have watched and the sun should be up soon.”

After checking out the resting quarters given to him, Mo takes to the streets, his natural tendency to wander taking over. He goes around the city with no set path in mind, but somehow, after a few hours, he arrived at the farm. As Mortimer strolled up the cobblestoned path to the house at the edge of the city, he couldn’t help but grin at what he was about to do. Raising his right hand, he gave three solid taps on the wood door in front of him.

A short lean man with graying hair answered the door. “How’s it going, old man? It’s been awhile,” Mo said with a wide smile.
“Mo! Where the hells have you been? Just showing up after five years. Come in, come in,” gesturing with his hand, “come, have a seat.”
“Hey, how have you been?” Mo asked as he gave the man a strong hug.
“You should come by more often, your mother gets yappy when your not here,” he said, taking a seat.
“Actually, I’ll be leaving the city tomorrow. I’ll be gone for almost a week,” he stated, “could you hold on to some things while I’m gone?”
“Just leave them in your room before you go.” said Tom, “where are you off to this time?”
“I’m helping save the world,” said Mo, sporting his habitual lopsided grin, “I know what you’re going to say. Don’t worry I’ll be fine, it’s in my blood.” Giving a wink, he proceeded to his room. He reached into his magic bag, pulling out his armour and tucked his armour in the corner by his bed.
“You’ve come a long way, I can still remember when you first left. You ran off to join the army, and then quit to go wandering the country in the middle of the times of trouble. Now here you are five years later. All I can say is, don’t die. You know how your mother worries about you.” Tom said leaning on the door frame.
“I’ll do my best.” Mortimer then stood up hugged his father, “see you in a week or so.”

As Mortimer wandered down the street, he cast his gaze upon the sky. “What have I gotten my self in to?” Sweeping his hand through his hair, “thanks, dad,” he said to the night sky, and continued to the Citadel.
