Is There Any Interest...

I am considering the possibility of running a game. I'm thinking about either a Cyberpunk, a Reality Bites System game set in Audalis (my own game system), or a Reality Bites System game set in a modern supernatural fantasy setting from one of my book series that's currently in an editor's hands.

Are there any interested parties afoot? If so, what tickles your fancy?

Aaaaaarrrghhh! So hard not to say yes!

Unfortunately, I'm Trekking and D&Ding and free-forming at the moment, otherwise I'd jump at the chance! Don't wanna spread myself thin and burnout, right?

That said... Hey Innmates! Looking for a great game run by a great GM? Here's your chance! Brom's lookin' for players and you want to play!!!

Fate, I tell ya!

Are you able to give a bit more?

First, if anyone is considering Brom's invitation, let me add that I have played in a Cyberpunk game from Brom and it was AWESOME! I highly recommend him to you as a GM.

Second, Brom, I know you were kinda asked if you'd run a game recently, but can you give a little more adventure summary/ opening intros to your three options? What are you thinking of when you say Cyberpunk, Audalis, or modern fantasy?

Thanks!
Ayrn

I'm a bit absent-minded a lot of the time, but if you don't mind that, I'd like to give it a whirl.

Interested

I have never play any game system all Freeform really. I am not familiar with Cyberpunk but when I googled it the images and such remind me of that Keeanu Reeves movie Johnny Mnemonic

I am interested if you start something and are willing to help in creating a character as far as the rules go.

Well, shucks...

Thank you gentlemen for your vote of confidence, and everyone else for your interest.

So, here's the skinny...

Cyberpunk

Cyberpunk would be a mix of the 2020 concept and the Dark FUZION version; which is to say that I'd mix and match elements from each version that I like. The adventure premise would be as follows:

A wealthy corporate executive's daughter has been kidnapped. He has reason not to trust the usual resources for dealing with such a case (Corporate Intelligence Division, Law Enforcement, Personal Security, etc.) and is all too aware that big money buys loyalty in this day and age. He's turned to the Edgerunners of Night City to retrieve his daughter... and take revenge upon those who would try to do his family harm.

Your characters will be contracted through a third-party fixer. The fixer is looking for some hired guns (muscle), a netrunner, a medtech, and possibly a techie.

--------------------------------------------------------

The Reality Bites System is designed to get rid of all of the elements of the various game systems I've played that I don't like and make combat a very serious and very dangerous solution to a problem. It focuses heavily on character play/development, skill use, and quick and bloody deaths to those who take unnecessary risks. Think of it this way: You may have a tricked out character with ramped up skills and high stats, but one wrong move—one misstep in combat, and your life is over. There are no Hit Points. If you wear armor, it is designed to stop things from getting to your meaty, squishy parts, but there's a price you're paying for that protection. If you get injured, you may die from shock before you bleed to death. This is not for your hack-'n-slash lovers. There's no classes, so to speak, but rather (just like in real life) you fill roles based on how you develop your skills.

Audalis

You belong to a tribe of Chindari plains-people called a Shakri. Your Shakri has a traditional migration path that keeps them close to the coast, and this time of year finds you by the Swamps of Kedesh. While great for hunting and providing opportunity to gather herbs and roots otherwise unavailable any other time of year, it is also very dangerous. You never know what lurks in those swamps...

Modern Supernatural Fantasy

New Orleans, LA is a place of diversity and culture. It's a different world than most everywhere else in the States—A constant party. Or so it seems.

There's a dark world living just in the peripheral. Shadows hold secrets, locals are feeling uneasy, and strange sightings have been reported.

Your characters each come from a different walk of life: a Private Investigator, an Investigative Reporter, a retired Marine School Teacher (mid-thirties), and a street kid who's fallen in with some really bad elements. You don't know why, but the mysteriousness of the Shadows are singling you out. Your lives are about to be completely turned upside down and the fate of thousands may rest on your shoulders.

--------------------------------------------------------

And those are the concepts that just popped into my head as I was asked to run a game.

Well, folks! Let's see what happens.

Yikes!!!

So many good options!

I think my preference would be for:

1) Cyberpunk (really interested)... specifically, the netrunner or the medtech

OR

2) Modern Supernatural (pretty interested)... specifically, the investigative reporter

Not super interested in the Audalis scenario (no offense)... but totally cool if this is the crowd favourite

Peace,
Ayrn

Very interested...

I'd love to join in!

My vote goes to Cyberpunk, although, as you know, I have never played before.

I'd be down

My preferences are as follows:

1. Cyberpunk, playing as the Muscle (first choice), or the Medtech (second choice).

2. Modern Supernatural, playing as the PI (first choice) or the Street Kid (second choice).

I'm not super interested in Audalis.

Cyberpunk

I'm still interested but it does seem like your slots might already be filled. But if anyone drops out just let me know and I am willing to give it a try if you'll have me?

Oh, I imagine there's still room

Depending on what you'd like to play, Boo Boo, I imagine there is still room. I got the sense from Brom that he's looking for a Med, a Netrunner, 2 or more Hired Guns/Muscle, and maybe a Techie.
