What day is it?

Is the 15th a Friday? I think we started on the 14th which was a Thursday.  Is that is correct, then Cook is on Beta shift and till 0700 on the 15th.  So, yes Meri, Cook would the one one on duty to help her out.

Let me know how you want to do this?  Out in the open or PMing for a collab.  My personal favorite is the open posting, but that is just me.

crap

Ok took another look at the schedule, and Cook doesnt go on shift duty till Friday night at 1900 - 0700 on Sat.

No worries, she is often in the sickbay when not on duty, especially lately since she hasnt gotten back into her old habits just yet.

She will be in the sickbay with PO Miraan when the cat drags herself in.

Duh...

Yes I did look at the schedule wrong... sheesh.  Although taking a second look it appears the Cook is only listed for two days a week, but the listed schedule is only for who is in charge at that time.  She might very well have additional shifts where she is just not the one offiically running the Sick Bay at the time.

Thanks for being flexible with having her available at any rate.

I'll shoot you a PM here momentarily so we don't clog up the Q&A with our chatter about the upcoming post(s)!

M.

Oh wow

Such amazing posts by everyone. Amazing!

I finally managed to post too, but I'll have to admit I had some trouble getting into the character while reading tons of ST material online. We'll see how the Doc turns out.

I even started watching the Enterprise. After six episodes, I'm still not convinced. I'm probably as far into it as I got on the first try, roughly one million years ago. But I've decided to push on  through... eventually, even if it takes some time.

The Doc is in the House!

Great Post Doc!   Getting a feel for the new CMO.   He and Cook need to have that conversation soon, as he surely felt some doubt from her at his first meeting with her.  It wouldn’t be fear of him exactly, more like apprehension as she has never worked directly with a Betazoid before now. She’s heard stories, and just needs some reassurances.

Whenever you are ready, they can have that talk.

A Betazoid!

I have never really given Enterprise a try, my husband was watching it and the theme song was jarring enough...However, I was talking about this game with my family and realized I had failed my children and we had not really watched much ST as a family.   So... We watched Wrath of Khan two nights ago and have moved onto Search for Spock now.

Yeah...

...I have a feeling that our poor Betazoid Doc is gonna end up being an impromptu Counselor, as much as an MD. Apologies in advance, Pekka, my man!

Wrath of Khan and Search for Spock are solid choices for introducing the littles to Trek, I think. Good on ya, Meri!

I honestly don't know everyone's beef with Enterprise. I liked the show and the theme song. I prefer Captain Archer far more than Janeway. And Trip was awesome.

I didn't hate Enterprise, myself....

...it was definitely watchable (though I do admit to skipping the theme song every single time following episode 1), and I agree that Archer was a much more enjoyable Captain than Janeway (I've been a fan of Bakula for a looooong time, though) and Trip was a hoot! I didn't mind looking at T'Pol, either.

I've even changed my mind where Discovery is concerned of late.

At Roger's recommendation, I may even give Lower Decks a go.

Huh..

Maybe it's the feminist in me, but personally I liked Janeway.  Of course she was always too willing to go off on subplots instead of getting her damn ship on course to return to earth, but that's an understandable issue with the series in general, not a real debate on her command.  I really enjoyed a female captain, who wasn't even a total babe... Left that job to Seven of course.

I'll have to give Enterprise a try though.  Got a few more movies and TNG to get through first though.  The kids thought that the Star Wars marathon over Christmas break took awhile.

Thank you!

I'm totally with you on the female captain part and Janeway herself wasn't a problem for me. It was just the whole premise of Voyager I got very bored with. It became clear very quickly that these people would never end up finding their way back home.

To me the stretching of every series to match TNG's seven seasons was a wrong move. With Enterprise they finally realized it. Remains to be seen what happens to Discovery. So far, apart from a couple of episodes, Discovery has been very much to my liking. Could that last for seven seasons? I dunno. Probably not.

Well Ody, performance issues are not uncommon in older men. Keep at it, you get it done.
