Topic: Cirro: Prologue
Subject: Haha, I got a lot of learn

Kaelyn: I'm glad you told me this. I thought LS was just an insulting slang word to describe LG or a boring good character in general. Now I see that it just reflects a brash hero like in many cartoons, but I just never thought about it.

UTAN: Ah, thank you Utan.

Hostage: Ohh...I forgot about that. Hmmm, would it be against ethos to agree to the demands of the captor after a deal is made (Like in most real-life cases when a ton of hostages are involved)?

Dragon: I do agree he/she would act if it was an obligation (to punish if it if attacked somewhere, rid the dragon if it's troublesome), but to attack it directly because it's "evil" just seems too provocative.

I know, they are still human. Maybe at least once, they broken a rule they didn't mean to.

GUEST: Hah, I'm having trouble finding them. The names on the guest lsits are so weird.

D&D GAMING: It's possible. Just how would that work w/o guidebooks?

PALADIN: Here's are fun questions for you guys, whoever is looking at this thread, to think over. So, a paladin is a personage of good right? And they go in the way of trouble to defend the innocent and the way of people. So:

- How would they react in a hostage situation? Like someone is inches away from killling a child and the paladin is forced to disarm (hopefully that isn't against his/her ethos)?

- Would a paladin suddenly attack a white dragon (CE), say, driking at a pond? Or does the dragon have to be provocative?

Hoy hoy, no need to be so hostile.

I don't think he assumes that we can't write on our own preludes and by no means, does he find us terrible. And also, I was under the impression that we had to write in our Preludes too. I would've gladly done that even if it's a little tough.

Directions are a little confusing, I had to ask a ton of questions to get my mind clear. And there isn't much for us too do while as prisoners so maybe he's hurrying things up.

He did say it's our turns now.

Oh BTW, I think I should mention this.

I appreciate the ones who are asking me to join their game, I really do And I thank you. However, I'm at a weakness when it comes to rules-based games. I don't do D&D anymore, I don't have any books (offline anyways), I'm through. However, I do remember a few things from AD&D 2e.

If a simple system with an easy learning curve is used, and very few things beyond a dice roller is required, maybe some DM/GM guidance can work?

OH, a little bit more on me: I like rangers and ninja too. If there's a campaign with them around, I may be interested. But, I don't want to get too overwhelmed.

I forgot to mention that I don't like undead either, especially Vampires. I think I had trouble with Liches too.

Had bad experiences with Dragonslayers too (ironic?).

Subject: My fav

Shai: I agree. rangers are pretty good and I like the idea of a protector of the wilderness, an animal tamer who can use swords and cleric magic (right?). Still trying to figure out how someone so anti-social actually makes it through a campaign.

Ninja (rogue), I like ninja too. Who doesn't?

Bard (rogue): Haha, the traveling musician. Nice, right? Not a care in the world.

Haha, all the advanced classes it looks.

Oh hello Tek~

Um, what limit in post size? How many words maximum are we talking here? I see plenty of long posts.

You mean this Tek guy made a single 30-page long post? Hmm, I thought typing too too long was way too redundant (especially for background) but I'll try to check it out when I have the time. He must really love his Paladin.

Lysk: Thank you. I'll try to stick around as much as I can and be on my best behavior. Currently, I'm trying to look for a good job and I'm at other RPGs too.

i have the high potential of playing a paladin soon actually in one of Hammer's games Utan, but in general I like to see how they are like around here and how you guys play them. Rangers especially, someone anti-social and a protector of the wilderness.

I read the Paladin article and I do believe it is difficult, but I don't think it has to be. The problem is the Pal needs to be near perfect in being a personage of good and justice. Also, I'd like to make up for my mistakes.

EOL: Haha, okay Eol. I just need to work on my confidence. Lately I've been taking things way to seriously.

MERIDETH: Yes Meri I've been having similiar problems. Too many people like to fight. It's not nessesarily bad; it's not bad to fight, but I like it when there are purposes to fight and get stronger. But, I get the same excuse that power chars don't matter but the writing does (AKA: We're not gonna cause trouble or godmode because we are fantastic RPers). It's the impression that "too many strong chars" will give, which bothers me. Hard to explain. One of the reasons why I hate dragons, freeform and in rule-based places.

Oh by the way, does anyone show me where I can find paladin and ranger characters at work around here, especially in rule-based campaigns?

Haaa! I forgot my password and had to retrieve it. I thank you kindly, Moderators.

Grugg: Thank you. I hope I'll enjoy myself too.

Kaelyn: Threads? It was mostly the surveys and the RPG adventures. I like lengthy adventures and you guys seem to have passion as players and GMS. Also, I thought it'd be a good opportunity to learn some things especially as a GM. I've been having low self-esteem lately.

I thought I could learn something from you all.

Orange: Ahh, a detective. Neat!
I have a penchant of making weird names too.
"Orangutan?" !

Hammer; I will Hammer. Thank you. Also, thanks for telling me a little about C&C.

Eol: Oh no~~~~ Ah, just kidding.
Yes I've noticed a ton of people here, of different variety. I'm a little intimidated.

See, I've been mostly on play-by-post games, so I shouldn't have trouble here right? I've recently gotten back into chatroom play and kind of sucks.

I looked around and there seems to be many interesting threads going on. I hope I can learn a lot from your guys, especially in being a game master.

Villains are cool, but have yet to play an effective one for some reason. So I'm lazy and play the good guy. Also, neutral characters, someone with a conscience or high sense of duty.

Dragons? I found the ones in the Council of Wyrms setting very interesting because they were PCs with their own ethnics and I wanted to know what it'd be like.

Subject: Cirro: Prologue

Hello everyone, my name is Cirro. And let me quickly tell you that I'm a female despite the username. I was just out of ideas for a name; I don't like using my own name nor anything that is slang ("Hotchick") or seems to exude narcissism ("beauty").

Anyways, nice to meet you all. I've been lurking for a long time and have finally decided to sign up. I really like RPGs; started with D&D, but abandoned it and been away from fantasy campaigns for a long time.

I'm more a player than a gamemaster; low self-esteem and easily intimidated, but ardent about roleplaying and how my char grows up. I have a strength in research and character analyzing (IMO).

My type of style? Don't choke but I'm mostly the hero player ("Lawful stupid" you guys call it??) or the one who likes to play the stupid/gag character. I don't like vampires and dragons. Etc etc etc.
