It was all happening too fast for Echo. From entering the bar, to sitting down, to Charlie once again playing his “I’m too important to be touched” shit and Casino once more letting his anger at the fixer get the best of him.

“Goddamn it stop this child like shit, this is getting us nowhere fast”

Slamming her hand down on the table hard. A quick glance around the room showed her they were starting to attract attention. Then things got worse. Without any hint that she had finally had enough Blossom stood up placed two black agents on the table in front of Casino and walked out.

“Have a nice life, and don’t call me if you need anything”

As she sat there in shock, Ghlahn not even a minute later jumped up without a word and followed her out of the bar. Looking over to Casino she could tell he too was in shock, looking down at the agents as if they were now evil things. Looking towards the bar’s doors the nomad runner knew things had gone from worse to unsurvivable in just five minutes. Quickly touching the solo’s hard face gently, she too stood.

“I’ll be back, promise”

Pushing back her chair she almost ran to catch up to Blossom and Ghlahn only to find both just outside the bar talking.

“Blossom, Ghlahn, please don’t go without you both the rest of us are dead. It’s not about Vegas anymore, it’s about the six of us. Casino’s right this guy who has Vegas is after all of us because Ghlahn killed his men. Even if we split up he’ll track us and kill us one by one. Charlie is an arrogant shit who thinks he’s god‘s gift to fixers and Casino is full of anger and worry over a friend, possibly his only friend, he thinks is already dead, causing him to let his anger get the best of him over every little thing and Charlie sets him off weather he knows it or not by being a self important prick. You say Casino needs meds, I think your on point with that, however crazy as it may sound, I’m starting to think maybe Vegas was that medication. Look at the last few days up until Vegas was taken and Charlie arrived, Casino was a hard core pro. Vegas gets nabbed, Casino gets mad, and almost leaves but calms himself and stay’s to finish the run vowing to rescue Vegas and we all agree. Things get smoothed over the misread of Ghlahn’s kill’s of the sec guards and with run finished and we are here.

Pause...................

“Look both of them are acting like kids in a sand box fighting over the alpha spot, of that there is no doubt. However Blossom do you really want to walk away? No matter what, there is strength in numbers, even if the numbers are against us and some of those numbers are acting like naked monkey’s beating on thier chests."

Echo sat quietly, listening, waiting, hoping from something from the rest of the group and was saddened at the degree they all spoke up. She really could not blame them as she too was at a loss. Her only possible solution, getting help from her tribe Rolling State, had been taken out of the game by Starlight.

"I hate to admit it but my only idea would be to try and get help from my people at Rolling State. However with Ghlahn in the group, a known Cee-Metal, that would be tough if not impossible. I think the reverse for him would be the same, Cee-Metal not wanting to help a Rolling State. Whatever Starlight's thoughts behind putting two members of opposing tribes on the same run, it clearly shows she did not do her homework and was not as "professional" a fixer as she thinks she is"

Shaking her head...

"I'm sorry Casino, I got nothing"

I have to disagree with your third observation as I know nothing about 5e. To not be Steel's partner makes it even more tougher for me to possibly play the game.

I barely knew 2e for lords sake and was the reason I ended up dropping Trilogy as I felt frustrated that I did not get more help from anyone. As DM Tann could not help me as much as he wanted to as he felt that would have been favoritism. 

Also did not Tann say he was going to talk to this DM tommorrow night about gaining access to the rest of everything or whatever was missing?

Nomad I hope its ok that Tann created my character for me as I had a small bit of knowledge for 2e and absolutely none for 5e. I'll try to play Silver to the best of my ability and I agree with Tann that she and Steel have been friends and partners for quite some time. Though she is still hesitant about his hellhound pup. lol

Not waiting for objections, Echo headed towards her tribes controlled part of the city.

Her eyes and awareness at it’s highest level so far this contract she finds herself drawn to a small variation in the shadows overhead tucked within the underside of the towers. Narrowing her eyes, she pulls her Balaclava up a little higher on her nose to conceal her true intentions of really studying that area. Within a matter of seconds she knows for certain that she’s spotted a sniper. Now how the hell do I pass it on to Casino, Bloodbank and Fixer as for damn sure these guys have super hearing?.

A thoughtful pause for a moment and then she knew how, hoping the sniper was just a high cover watchman and not an enemy of sides. Keeping her voice normal she relays her findings to Casino and the rest within the van.

“We’ve got a sniper approximately 150 feet away and 30 to 40 feet behind the aerodynamic limo and straight up.”

Now all she could do was wait and be ready if the sniper was not part of the pick-up team for Jase or instead some other third party, once again as they had so already faced..

For the moment with one foot out of the van placed firmly on the ground and her other one pressed firmly within the van all Echo could was wait and hope this meet went as drama free as possible. They had left the status of Vegas up in the air far too long to hope that Casino’s partner was still alive.

Scanning the sedans and limo she wondered who was inside the fancy aerodyne vehicle. As she listened to Charlie begin negotiations she kept her sense up ready to drive the group out of here.

Al are you not wearing a long duster? Won't that put your hands out of view? These people might think your trying to hide something behind your back.

Lance going to get a post up tonight hopefuly

Once again Echo found herself behind the wheel driving into a possible firefight, however, cracking a small smile, was this not the reason she was an edgerunner, the moments like these. As she pulled into the actual meet site she noticed the sedans and limo.

Slowly pulling to a stop she found that she had managed to get well within range of the teams small arms in case things went badly.

"Charlie you have the lead, you know how to deal with these type of people. Ghlahn you on Charlie, Echo on me. Bloodbank, Fixer, stay in the van with the boy and his mom when Charlie signals bring them out and hand them over to him and Ghlahn. Blossom if you feel its safe, and only you would know for sure, do a face rec on these guys, if not sit tight as our last line of cover.”

Opening her drivers door Echo started to stand then thought better of it. Keeping one foot in the car and placing the other foot on the ground outside she placed her Submachine gun on her lap and out of sight.Signaling Casino as to her placement still semi within the van, yet still behind him and covering him, all she could do now was wait and hope everything would go through ok. The adrenaline pumping throughout her body the Rolling State edgerunner had to admit this was what she lived for. A quick glance at Casino, ....And maybe something else.........

And why do you need to take the van, are they not within walking distance? you take the van you take our only means of cover?

As Keith tried to explain the feelings between them she knew he was right. Acting if she had somehow come to her senses the edge-runner in her took over pushing her feelings for Casino into a special place, a place she dearly wanted to visit again soon. A last kiss on his cheek and her best smile.

“Ok fearless leader, lead on, what next”

Within a few moments the both of them were back in the hotel room handing out food and drink. As Casino sat back to relax, clean his handguns, and watch the news she moved back to stand at the window watching for anything out of the ordinary. Having yet to fire her heavy Mustang pistol, she knew it needed no cleaning as in the long run all she really needed was her MP2020 and that pretty much cleaned itself.

For now she’d stand watch while the rest relaxed and go from there when the time came to give over Jase.

They reached the motel, a place named Midnight Express, without any more trouble or shouting, though Echo had to hold her increased anger all inside as Ghlahn leaned forward and told finally told Blossom what he knew of the people who held Vegas. ~Jesus Christ he could of told her that hours ago~ she thought to herself her mind trying to remember how to stop a cyborg. For years Rolling States and Corpore Metal had been in conflict and there were records she was sure on how to bring a cyborg down, though she had no ready access to those records at the moment. She could only hope that it did not come to that.
As she and Casino moved to the motel’s entrance she felt his hand take hers and turned to face him, breathing suddenly heavy not sure what he wanted to say.

"We need to keep an eye on Ghlahn for now, no telling what else he is keeping to himself about the parking garage,"

A little disappointed she nodded her head in agreement, afraid for the moment to answer him, as he released her hand and they headed inside. Taking up a stance near the motel’s emergency exit she watched over the whole lobby and team. Then as the entered the room she took up a stance at the closet window and started to watch out into the street. With her nano healing she was neither sore or tired after their ride over so it only seemed natural.

“Let me see that arm. Is it bothering you much?” Hearing Bloodbank speak, her attention was brought back to the medic and Casino

Removing his crow face mask for the first time in at least a day, Echo could not help seeing his age etched into his face. The hard lines, the hard eyes, the almost consent non-smiling face. Yet she had seen inside him, the hidden warmth, a rare smile, and his laugh at Bloodbanks question and could not help think that the solo was still very good looking in his own way. A way she found herself liking. Her gaze moved back to the street.

"Hey kid, how about you and me check out the other room? Gotta make sure it is all safe."

Looking to Casino, she got his expected nod for her to follow Ghlahn and stay within hearing and waited for the cyborg and the kid to move.

"Aya, the kid and me are just gonna talk.  Maybe he can remember something important, even if he doesn't know it's important.  We need a quiet spot.". Looking at Casino and then Echo, "You can stay put right there, we don't need a chaperon."

Echo looked at Ghlahn, giving him only a smile, having no intention of letting Jase spend any time alone with the Corpore Metal cyborg.

If Casino does so in his post I'll tag along

“You mean to tell us that you’ve known this whole time that your the reason Vegas got nabbed and this guy wants us all dead. That you killed his seven in self defense is one thing, but not telling us that it was you after you rejoined us and were updated on Vegas to me is the most asinine, childish and unprofessional act that has yet shown an ugly head. Then you have the nerve right here, right now, to tell Casino to try and get paid to rescue his friend, that you’ll help only if you get paid, when for whatever reason this whole thing is actually your fault??”

Looking to Bloodbank, Fixer, and Blossom catching their eyes with her own she turned back to Keeper.

“This is what’s going to happen once Jase and his mother are handed over. Your going to tell all of us exactly what happened when you killed these seven men. If they had uniforms, what if anything they were driving, the weapons they were carrying, any goddamn detail you can remember. Then your going with us when we try to save Vegas and if you ask for payment gods help me I’ll kill you myself Cee-Metal. Oh and one more thing if you think your not going with us thats fine I’ll just let these people know it was you that did the killing. And so help me if that does not work and those of us that go with Casino die I’ll leave a little message with my tribe the Rolling State, to make sure you don’t last the week.”

Ahh Lance Tann's not going to like that   So how do we settle Tann down when he finds out we need time to set everything up?
