Firewind definitely felt out of place in the situation. He still stood ready to do whatever was needed. His primary goal was to get out of this situation alive preferably with the mission accomplished. He hoped all the time spent at the range with his mentor would pay off. He knew that his skill with a pistol would amaze people who knew his skill with medicine. He was almost as good with the weapon as he was with a scalpel, If necessary he would kill. It would be removing part of a cancer from society’s body.

Three days ago I got a little visit from Idolain Cobbelforge himself. You know, from the famous Cobbleforge family? He was in the company of an elf! They were investigation something about the Chakran Portal. I thought that was highly interesting.”
Geim interest was now real. He asked “The famous Cobbleforge family and and an elf? What interest would an elf have in the Chakran Portal? Could they have discovered something?” He might show up a bit late for his appointment, but he was sure that this extra bit of information would be important.

Xour having fired again. Decides to find another spot to fire on the foe. Hopefully, the condusion of battle will cause the enemy to think that there are more on the opposing side than really existed. A new spot with cover and concealment would be used for an carefully aimed arrow. He moved and then picked a target.

Mrs. Orebelly leaned in, as if she was sharing a secret. Checking the room, she whispered to Geim: “You wouldn’t believe what kind of people come in here. Not just Runemasters, you know. Merchants come in here too, doing research for their business. Mages I see a lot as well, but they’re never as interesting as you are. What did you come here for? Interested in the history of our lands, judging by the books. Why don’t you sit …. here,” the keepers tapped another chair next to the table, “and tell me all about it. I get so bored, sometimes.”
Geim replied “Not just Runemasters? That is interesting. I have a pressing appointment, but I guess I can be a little late. Never mind about me… mostly dull research. But you… must have interesting tales what with all those visitors!” Taking the seat indicated, he continues “Has anyone really interesting wandered in here lately? Merchants and mages!!! I wonder what sort of research they were doing.”
