Topic: Peradyse Lost
Subject: A question

After taking his seat, he does not rise as the other does at female arrives at the table. He has given up that life in exchange for the one he now leads. He does provided the female with a respectful nod.

Xuor starts in a soft voice barely audible to the others with “I am Xuot … just a simple hunter…. a woodsman…. a taur'ohtar in the words of my people.” This is true although he leaves out that he sometimes hunts marauding giants or rampaging orcs and the word he uses also means ranger. “Draug here is my companion and partner and not a familiar.” He simile at the mention of the name since draug was his word for wolf. The naming was part of a private joke. Looking around he adds, “What is it that you believe will occur?”

A freshly healed cut is still visible on Xuor’s face. It has started fade but was clearly made by a blade. Those observant would notice that there are no loose items or uncovered pieces of metal. Every item on him was of superior quality. The outline of a signet ring beneath the gloves can be seen. The two quivers filled with arrows stood out. His habit of constantly taking in everything around also stood out.

He takes a sip of his drink before lowering so that the wolf could take a sip if it had a desire for a drink.

Croaker had said "Now Firewind your role in this is very important for as a Medic I'm hoping you may know how to whip up something to knock Mery Deth out cold to make her easier to transport. Once Spiff has hopefully used his skills at persuasion to have gotten a lot of the Wild Things out hunting for us somewhere other then where we really are. BullsEye, and myself use the Silenced SMG’s from the cops and Coyote using Preacher’s Silenced SMG move into the building and extract you guys and Mery Deth. While we are doing this Spiff and Peacekeeper take out any guards around her and Firewind drugs her so that once we get there we throw her over a shoulder and head out of the building. With Preacher just around the corner in the van with the engine running waiting for us to make it out, once we are all hopefully safe in the van with Mery Deth off we go."

He wanted Firewind and Peacekeeper to act as Spif's bodyguards to deliver a message. Not a great plan, but at least it was a plan. Firewind would definitely remember to personally thank DigitalScribe for getting him involved with this. He did not like it, but his drive to always succeed forced him on. "Croaker, as I have told you I am a doctor not a gunslinger. I have reservations about administering drugs in the manner you describe. I have nothing better to offer."

>Frirewind then took the time to adjust his sidearm in the manner suggested to him by his firearm mentor, a rather infamous solo called the Sandman. Looking at Spif, he smiled and said "The name is Firewind."

Subject: A signal

The wolf and Xuor are part of a trained team. In one sense, it could be said that Xuor had trained the wolf because it could respond to simple verbal commands and their equivalent hand signals. In another sense, it could be said that the wolf had trained Xuor to appreciate its reactions and instincts and responded to certain instances of its behavior. Something seemed to pass between the wolf and the person who now beckoned That there was no hostile reaction from the wolf was a good sign.

Taking note of everything in the room before moving, he walked as directly as possible to the table that held that person. Xuor wore no armor but he knew that the greatsword and composite longbow he carried probably gave away his line of work. With the wold at his side, he approached with quick sure strides as if he knew what he was expected.

Something had drawn him here out of the forest. Xuor is normally a loner traveling with a large grey wolf as his only companion. He is an elf with silver shoulder length hair and amber eyes wearing a hooded cloak of neutral gray cloth, a grey wide brimmed hat, a light grey shirt , and a dark grey jacket. He decides that the inn is a likely place to wait
Entering the inn with the wolf at his side, he looks around for an empty table.

Topic: The Chakran Portal - an Adventure in Audalis
Subject: Grand Library

Geimiedefher started his day as usual in prayer to the Master Mason, Gamultindar. The Ageless Craftsman provided him with the strengths and skills to continue. His mission as a member of the Runemasters was to be the line defense against demons and elemental creatures that slumber within the earth's core. This group of clerics did this by keeping the Khordaldrum lore and knowledge alive. Today he would spend much time researching siege warfare, one of his many interests. The building of war machines fascinated him and he spent an inordinate amount of time in the library.

Today something unusual had happened. He had a visitor in the Grand Library who dropped a letter in front of him. The seal belonged to his friend Guland. He paused and read the messag. It said:

My dear Friend,

I have some urgent business that I want you to help me with. I need your knowledge and expertise to aid me in a certain matter. Can't write more now. Visit me tomorrow morning.

Best Regards,

Guland

Considering the request, Geimiedefher decided that he was obligated to assist. At any rate it gave him a reason to go see a friend. This was probably why Guland has asked for his help. There were many others with his skills. Besides, too much time spent in research was bad for a person. A request from a friend was as good a reason for taking time off from the Grand Library as the search for lost artifacts. He would see his friend in the morning.

Firewind with a smile explained “Spiff, The origin of the handshake comes from medieval Europe, when knights would extend their hands to each other as a demonstration that each did not possess weapons in their hands. It is obvious that this is not the case here. I am sure you understand!” Ensuring that the safety was off his weapon, Firewind continued with “At any rate you have a bit of guts. There seems to be a bit too much information floating around. What do the Wild Things know and what do we know about them? Has DigitalScribe got his fingers in this still?”

He watched as Coyote drew and readied a weapon. Lots of guts there too. The problem with this so far seemed to be plenty of guts and not much brains. DigitalScribe had gotten him into this. If he survived, Firewind might need to show his gratitude personally.

Subject: Plan C or is it D, maybe E?

As usual, it seemed that plans were falling apart as soon as they were pieced together. Croaker no sooner escorted these two into the van when he drew weapons on them. The reception Firewind had gotten at his initial meeting with the group had seemed relatively cool at the time. Now, after watching how the group treated others, it seemed more like a group hug. This group had a definite tendency toward violence.

One of the new guys claimed that he had copies of the blueprints for the building which contained Merry Deth. Firewind wasn’t sure that he could trust this one and he would definitely avoid having one of these two behind him. It seemed that in the process of obtaining information the element of surprise may have been compromised. Turning to Croaker, Firewind said “This guy said something about ‘his girl’ bringing Merry Deth to him. What did he mean by that?”

Passing notes to the DM, Sui -- bad boy

DA - Let's not forget that Bullseye also had a weapon out. What I was pointing out that was that Firewind and/or Preacher *might* have felt bad about it. The two of you would have probably fired the first shoots, but the two of us might have shed a tear (maybe).

Roll this up with Redblade, which is why I asked you to check.

As per the extra 2 ranks in Healing, I think that the program added them in. I guess the following should be added under abilities,

"SELF-SUFFICIENT - Benefit: You get a +2 bonus on all Heal checks and Survival checks."

The program seems to have some bugs. It had not added in the large shield.

I will edit to reflect your comments

What is your stance on the Granted powers for Clerics of Kharox: "One free crafting proficiency, +2 when attempting any crafting activity, +1 HP per die?" I did not frigure any of this in.

====================

How is this for a basic background?

Geimiedehfer a member of the sect of the worshipers of Gamultindar (Ageless Craftsman) known as the Runemasters. Trained in the art of siege war, he would rather stay home and forge arms and armor than explore the world. There has persisted a rumor that a city of the Chakranna exists and perhaps even the Chakrandrum race. Perhaps even a little of their knowledge might be recovered. They were kin to the Khordaldrum and every effort must be made to reunite the two races and their knowledge united to fight the demons!
