Good morning Red Dragon Inn! Or is it Evening? I am never really sure!

Greetings Innmates!

I propose the creation of a new thread! (And have taken the liberty of creating it. Kind of me I know)

It has been mentioned in my hearing a few times that the forums here are a tad bit intimidating. Like many people I wake up in the morning, stumble to coffee pot and then head for the computer. I have nothing of great importance to say at that hour. Maybe "Hello." Perhaps a jot or two about my day plans. Just morning chit chat.

There is really no acceptable place for this here. So I propose like other sites. We have a thread for said basic nonsense. Come in post a hello and generally keep up with the goings on of others daily lives and or discussions about site in general games etc.

I know of several sites with such threads that delete and replace them monthly or weekly. The threads are always at the top. Easy to find, and provide a way to interact when you can think of nothing else to do. Especially for those who can't or do not want to have chat open.

That being said...

Good morning, evening or perhaps midday. Whichever it is in your part of the world I hope it's a good one.

Now if you will excuse me. I have a date with the coffee pot..

HI!

There isn't much morning left here, but I'll say goo dmorning to all anyway!

Not much planned for the day. I hope to work on my novel a bit and continue building the castle that I've been working on for a few months. That's about it. Luckily I don't have to work until tomorrow.

Hi All!

I popped on at lunch to see what's up on my games and VOTE for the Inn.

It's been a tough day, customer visit, had to hold two shipments for rework and Ulthok is brain food.

Oh well hope to post to Triology tonight or tomorrow. There doesn't seem to any "safe" thing to do to save him. But then gaming is never "safe".

mmm lunch

Lunch sounds good! *steals your lunch and eats it*

I need to post to that too. Here's hoping both our characters make it out. I will attempt a brain storm and see if I can think of something to help you.

Could take a minute due to all the flooding from said brain "storming".

I will get back to you on this.

Lucky!

I am insanely jealous of your ability to sleep late sir!

Sadly my day almost always starts at or before 7

I keep saying I am going to sleep in on Saturday but I get so use to the hours during the week it never happens.

Saw you on...

I saw you on, but the chat is blocked her at work.

Maybe I can catch up to you tonight and bounce my idea off you before I post.

Well got to go back to work now.

A lot of folks say that

Which is why this thread seemed like such a good brain child.

Sounds like a plan. I will pencil you into my evening chat schedule! We will get this sorted out..

Grugg: really?! you can do better...

Castle

For Christmas a year or two ago I got a rubber mold for simple rectangular bricks. Since then I've been working on a relatively small castle and keep that is scaled for use with D&D miniatures (1" = 5').

I've got the front half done with a working portcullis and drawbridge. I'm almost done with one of the back quarters. The castle itself is about 24" square counting the 2" thick outer walls with battlements.

it's one of the display pieces I plan to use at GenCon if I have enough room. I've made a lot of progress on it over the past week or two.

Also, it is a keep that my table top group controls. So when the keep is finished, I can actually use it for a large battle that will take place at the keep.
