Plenty of room, Stryke.

Takes all the hits? Whew... That could get ugly.

I'm sorry Deucalion... I don't have access to that book. I would not feel comfortable allowing a prC from a book I haven't read. But I don't want you to think I'm being mean or anything.

Fifth level is kind of high for a start... I mean, after all, you're only one level away from leadership and two attacks and whatnot...

I can handle third. Third, you all have an extra feat, and next level you'd have a stat point.

What say you?

The Drow / Silver mix is fine, but if you add human or some other race in too, it will be really neat. Do what you will there, although Drow above surface will be problematic at times...

I can't include the Tome of Battle. This is what I will allow:

Players Guide
DMG
Arms and Equipment
Arms and Armor
Book of Exalted Deeds
Complete Adventurer
Complete Arcane
Complete Divine
Complete Warrior
Defenders of the Faith
Deities and Demigods
Draconomicon
Fiend Folio
Frostburn
Libris Mortis
Lords of Madness
Manual of the Planes
Masters of the Wild
Races of Destiny
Races of Reknown - Halfbreeds
Races of Reknown - Drow
Races of Stone
Races of the Wild
Secret College of Necromancy
Song and Silence
Stronghold Builders Guidebook
Tome and Blood
Unearthed Arcana
Book of Vile Darkness
Heroes of Horror
Stormwrack
And of course all Monster Manual material.

I usually start at level 1, but I am open to negotiation on that.

No, actual half dragons will not be allowed, although, I might allow one or two draconic traits through from that template.

Subject: Heck yeah!

Played all three!

In fact, my friend still keeps the Car Wars Boxed set in his car, just in case I hold another tournament... ahh the good old days.

My absolute favorite game of all time is Chill. A small, handwritten book published back in the 80's I think... horror... horror.. I won't let my players even look inside the book. Makes the game so much better when you have no idea what's going on.

Subject: D&D 3.5: Legacy of the Shade Lord

Many years ago the land was under the tight grip of the Lord of Shades, ruling from his all-seeing tower and wielding the fel blade Ur-at-nh. His death at the hands of his longtime friend was like a rebirth for the dying world. The land has begun healing, but there is much work left to do. The minions of Marellis have fractured and formed rival camps, and rumors of woe and terror abound that the fel blade is in the possession of one of his lieutenants.

This is a D&D 3.5 call to arms. Who has the courage to stand against the minions of the scion of LongShadow?

Character gen: Standard 3.5 gen, 4d6, 3 highest, reroll 1's. Background required. All characters will be in some way descended from draconic ancestry. This small amount of draconic blood is purely cosmetic as far as mechanics goes. However, it is more than enough that the Sorceror class is always available to all the players at any time. Most of the characters will only exhibit a single draconic trait: a blue streak of hair, silver scales on stomach, draconic eyes. It is unlikely, but not impossible, that a character could have any mechanically beneficial trait.

The land of the Shade Lord is in great peril, and travel between towns and cities is impossible. All characters will be in the town of Sodgrove, on the edge of the kingdom. However, this probably isn't where you are from. For this, you have a few possible options:

Bizzuks
Humans, gnomes, halflings, elves. The shining star of the world, Bizzuks is the imperial capital. There are forums and libraries and paved streets. The Shadow Dragon, Hosteratix, rules here. The libraries have been made private and the forums are closed.

Easton
Humans, elves, half-elves, dwarves. Ruled by the wight queen Antagony. Easton used to be a lovely idyllic kingdom. White walls, fancy architecture, a peaceful and pleasant place. Now it is besmirched with foul denizens, gambling, and other vices. People disappear at night.

Blackfay Marshes
The swamps. Lizard folk, halflings, half-elves, black dragons. A huge shallow lake with settlements all over. Ruled by the Dragon King, Sulphisextantus.

This will be an adventure for the hardcore, those who like the dungeons and the dragons. 5-7 players, troupe style play. If there's more interest than that, I'll think about adding more.

I just want to get a game going. Reply if interested.

Thanks for the info!

Do I need to tell someone when I'm ready to create my game thread and Q/A thread? Or do I just do that myself?

Not to say I'm ready... I'm still trying to figure out who's interested...

Yes, I did grow up in Alabama, my momma taught me how to count, and I do it good too!

However, on #a, I think I didnt explain myself well enough.

On the star trek thread (one of them), someone mentioned "how do I get into a locked room?"

and the reply was something to the effect of "you need a code." Now, is this something in the story, or is it a forum function? Sorry for being a newb, but it could affect the timing of my game if there was more than one room... and possibly a secret place for folk to meet each other... but if not, no big deal, just curious about it.

Ok so I got my post up at recruitment. Everyone make sure to read it and then be hypnotised by my hidden subliminal commands...

Bwahahahah!

No really. My friend and I had this awesome idea for a Battlestar storyline, somewhat following the premise of the show.

Who doesn't want to be a Viper pilot? Who doesn't want to command a battlestar? I mean, really.

Anyway... I'd love to get into some vampire, and quite possibly might recruit some of my own players, assuming I can compel them to log in. I think I might bring two or three other players to the inn with confidence, and maybe a couple more.

I have some questions, and I hope its not bad form to post them here.

a) I have read vague comments about locked rooms. Whats all that about?

2) Is there a "standard" that is considered commonplace as far as play format around here? I see that timestamps are critical, and a generally good idea, what else?

d) It seems that the in character game threads are overlapping in one gestalt thread. Is this the standard? How is game-critical information handled? For example, a scene in which one of my players is revealed to be a cylon agent... but only one crewmember is there... am I going to have to let every player I have see that scene? What is done in other games?

Nice to meet you all!

I'm a longtime roleplayer, and have just recently stumbled upon the online rpg community. So I suppose I'm fresh meat. Lol!

Let's see... I'm a storyteller, although I enjoy playing just as much. Primarily D&D and old WoD, I've been known to invent game systems for specific stories. I've been playing tabletop for about 21 years. I hope to get a game going here pretty soon, if there's interest. I'll post it in Recruitment shortly.

So, how many folk are here regularly? I see that there's always four or five folks here whenever I'm logged in, so there must be all kind of people here... I'm from the south so I was always raised to say howyall and howsyamamanem. xD

Anyway, this is an awesome site and I hope to meet lots of awesome people.
