So, i kind of wont be around much for the next three days, and I will probably spend half of Sunday unconscious (which may or may not be a euphemism for playing Skyrim... ahem) so..... yeah. I will, however, be working up a post and will get that written soon. ish. Soonish or a little latery. PRobably latery.

I am already at the point where if I see any more organic peanutbutter, someone's going to get shanked.

Consider this the equivalent of me camping in front of the ticket booth with my cooler and my sleeping bag, and a laptop. Now everyone can form a line right behind me.

I wanted to share with everyone an auction I am running for the week. All money raised goes to a local animal shelter, and all the items being auctioned off are handmade and stunning. One of the sets is a completely epic Star Wars necklace and earring set WITH LIGHTSABERS! Gabby, the designer and creator of these pieces, is a huge SW fan.

Please check us out at http://www.facebook.com/pages/1st-Annual-Auction-For-Rhea-County-Animal-Shelter/197267813684333

Gabby and I are not affiliated with the shelter, but we know the amazing work they do, funded entirely by donations. My company, Beau's Bite's is sponsoring this auction, as well as a live fundraiser this weekend.

I have heard from Eol. Our Cap'n has some RL to deal with, but assures me he's coming back as soon as he is able to.

I'm here, and fully committed to this game. I heart pirates.

Week 9 in the NFL

Well, we have Noob's predictions, so here are mine...

Buffalo
Seattle
Cleveland, because Houston is hell. Sorry, Texans, but deep down...you know. You just know.
Indianapolis, because God may hate Peyton Manning, but he hates Miami more

Kansas City. Because, well, it's MIAMI.

New Orleans
Washington
Denver .. because really, it's OAKLAND. The only thing worse is Miami.

Tennessee... gotta give love to my state now

My deep abiding love for my boys tells me the Giants will go home unhappy.

San Diego. I just have a feeling.

Baltimore wants it more, and Pitts will be cocky after last weeks win.

Philadelphia

I hate the remaining teams too much to even mention.

The survey of the skeleton-site where the rocky man had fought seemed sad to Arra - there was something about the gathering dark, and the lonely fungi, that made her insides ache slightly, and reminded her how far from her cave she was. While the others examined, Arra padded quietly around the shroom beds, sniffing, tail twitching, before returning to the party.

Back at the guesthouse, it took her almost by surprise that the rocky man with the long furry face would address her by name, and it was a small show of respect that did not go unnoticed. It stirred something within her, though she was careful not to show it.

"Nothing unusual, sirrrrr. The smell of the undead lingerrrrs a little, but nothing suspicious beyond that." She paused, and took the chance to offer an opinion.

"We should sleep, and rrresume in the daylight. While you sleep, I could searrrrch the woods surrrrounding the town?"

Topic: AMC's The Walking Dead
Subject: =^.^= IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN EP 3 STOP READING!

Pssst.... Not everyone watches it the night it comes out!

Since we have no cable at the mo, we stream them the next night from the internet. So, sadly, I ended up reading part of the previous post before catching the episode.

All I will say right now is WOWOMFGWTF! Definitely makes up for last weeks ep.

I can't imagine the pain in Lori's heart when she confessed her thoughts on Carl's survival to Rick. It's something so terrible that you get to see just how strong she truly is, and how she's really trying to be all in when it comes to her marriage. And This is a fascinating relationship, because Rick was heartbroken, but open to her, and they really got to explore some of this dynamic. It was great that he didn't judge her, and tried to understand her point of view.

Glenn's prayer-virgin scene was pretty good, but he needs more of a story. He needs something he can sink his teeth into and I really like the potential love interest that's unfolding for him. He seems like kind of a flat character right now, not at all like season one.

I am really enjoying the Dale/Andrea relationship. Both of them have lost family close to them, and you can see him trying to forge a family type bond with her, and her coldness and distance is almost physically painful. But they made great progress, and I can't wait to see how they handle things.

I have to admit, though, I am pretty creeped out now, and not for the reason you think. Yes, Shane's pretty much the douchiest man alive right now, but that's not it. It's Sofia. She's just....vanished. There has been NOTHING to indicate she is dead, alive, or walking dead. They've set Doyle up as this great hunter and tracker, but he can't pick up ANY signs? So now I'm thinking the Wendigo got her. Because she's a little girl, not an experienced survivalist, and sheould have made some sort of signs of life.

And Shane/Otis. Holy... wow. I was totally buying the "I tried so hard" story...I even cringed when he was handed Otis' old clothes to change into. Like wow, thanks for saving the boy, here's a theoretical kick to the crotch. Enjoy wearing the threads of a guy you failed to save.... and then the scene in the bathroom. THe flashbacks. I was, honestly, horrified, then angry, then horrified again.

I am so in love with this series.

Okies, got one part of the post done while the new trays are baking up. My plan for the other part is to share Arra's perceptions of everyone, and possibly flashback to a moment in her childhood pertaining to mushrooms, so its less random and more actually having a point. And of course will reference others posts as well.

BTW, am I correct about the looks Arra would be getting? I can edit if not, but I know the big cats are not at all common, and this is supposed to be a quiet shrooming community. So, big cat, freakshow, etc

And thank you again for allowing this character. She's going to be a whole lot of fun.

Arra's tail twitched as she moved with uncanny grace and took a seat at the table with them, fully expecting the old woman to come at her, shooing her away with a broom. As it was, the eyes that followed her ranged from uncomfortable, to worried to hostile to curious, and her fur virtually crawled with the weight of many gazes. Reflexively, hand beneath the table, her claws extended and with effort she sheathed them again.

"A pleasurrrrre to meet you, sirrrrr," she greeted, purring over the R's. Her whiskers twitched and she tried to make her mouth form a smile, which she had learned over the years was customay among the meatsacks - er, humans.

As talk flowed among the group, she took mental notes, maarking their plans in her mind, and tried not to look too out of place. After all, she was one of them now, should they like it or not. She hoped they would eventually come to look favorably on her, despite the fact she ad pretty much strongarmed her way into the little group.

And yet, part of her wished she had stayed home that night, stayed back in her small cave in the forest. True, there had been that damnable creature stalking her woods, but this group had seen to that well enough. It was just that people were still a relatively new concept for her, and the very, very few humans she had interacted with had been more or less positive, but... they were so very, very pink. And soft. And they didn't taste very well. Not like rosated goose. Or river trout. Or a nice fat phaesant.

Her greenflecked golden feline eyes moved over Brokrok, a most strange human indeed. Well, not human. Arra had learned that "Human" was not really an all-inclusive name for the other kinds of life on two legs out there. There were others. And meatsacks was probably the most accurate, if not the most unkind , definition for them all. However, Arra didn't mean that term with any malice. More to the point, it was just a word to her, a way to separate food from non-food.

The one with the beards they'd been sent to didn't seem at all tasty. Infact, Arra was prettty sure he would chip one of her teeth. He reminded her of the ground - solid, hard. Stones. Rocks. He reminded her of these things the way the others in her party reminded her of things.

((Part one of two))
