Her eyes drifted back to Uthal’s companions as she considered his question, then she shrugged and replied, “Perhaps you should find out if they want to meet me?”

"Why?" he asked, confused. "C'mon then!" he offered as he stood at the table, the back of his calves pushing the chair back as he stood. He grabbed his things and gestured to D'harum to follow.

Utahl introduces the Monk to his friends.

"Thaoran, I may be help, should you need coin." he offers what little coin he has to the Elf.

Keen to get out of the town and into the wilderness, Uthal suggests, "We should find the road soon. I think we should leave at first light."

"It is a pleasure to meet you Uthal of the Valagans," D'harum said softly and inclined her head in respect.

Uthal bowed his head in return.

She continued, "I'm pleased my music can bring you memories, pleasant ones I hope." She said with a faint smile.

"My memories are like most, bitter and sweet, I suppose." he replied.

She turned to look about the room as she added, "I'm on a Kaihogyo .. I guess you would call it a pilgrimage. I've left my monastery a few months ago and I've been traveling, trying to learn about the world and it's people."

"No small task." he said, breaking a smile, "There is a lot to learn. Have you any insight?" he asked with genuine curiosity.

When she's finished, she looks over at the rest of Uthal's friends, then back to him and she inclines her head towards them.
"Your travel companions, I take it." She said as a statement and not a question, "so what brings all of you to this place?"
She had sat down her utensils when he sat down, she now picked up her mug and took a hefty swig as she awaited his response.

"I've not known them long, but they seem like good people. The gods know we need more folk like that in the world." he shares about his adventuring friends. "We are looking for work!"

D'harum's talent for music, which Uthal enjoyed, and her admiral quest, put him at ease (ooc: better make an insight check). He looked across at the others and back to D'harum. "Would you like to meet them?"

"Thank you!" he says, speaking quietly and slowly. He rests his quarterstaff against the table and places his wooden shield and backpack next to the chair before sitting himself across from the stranger and taking a sip of his tea. "I am Uthal, of the Valagans." he introduces himself, pausing briefly before continuing, "Your songs remind me of the music of the Sage of my people. It has been many years since I have heard such a sound." He pauses some more before he asks, "D'Harum. A Monk, of the Way of the Healing Fist?" he repeats, interested, "What brings you to Ludensheim?"

Across from you sits the goliath. Larger than a human but not quite a giant. His hollow, white eyes surrounded with dark, black tattoo-like lines and markings that continue across the pale, white skin of his face and what you can see of his hands. He wears handmade, leather and fur clothing and a number of long canine teeth are strung around his neck. There is a long dagger sheathed on the right side of his belt and the quietly spoken man, seems uncomfortable in the crowded tavern.

Uthal agreed that helping the locals of the Barren Woods with their bandit problem is best for some earned coin. The Gods know, he needs some.

After the party's decision is made, he moseyed on over to the bar to asked Gertrude for some tea, before walking over to the stranger's table near the fire.

He stood before the pale blue eyed flautist, the goliath towering at least eight foot next to the table. "Such haunting tunes you play!" he paused breifly, "Do you mind if I sit at your table?" he asked her. Overwhelmed by the crowded spaces in the tavern, Uthal was in need of some quieter company.

I thought Lily was deeply offended by the needless taking of goblin ears and quietly slipped off into the woods to find her home. Did your kender find home?

Uthal is in agreement. A trip to the Barren Woods. See if we can't level a few pesky bandits. I am running exceptionally low on funds, which is seldom a problem in the wilderness. But, this town hopping is an expensive way to travel.

@Nimu, I concur.

@Nomad, I figured Uthal was the last to join the group and was inconsequential to the success of the parties mission. So was not sure how the others plan to divy up the coin.

Ludensheim sounds great. Off we go!

Thäoran, don't say I didn't warn ya

Given his propensity to living in nature and this, being his first time at the village of Botkinburg, Uthal is noticeably uncomfortable amongst so many other folk.

He listens quietly to what Erhardt has to say.

Later, when the opportunity presents itself to speak privately with his companions. "A lot of trouble in these parts! I am on a quest to avenge those that took the lives of my people and am thinking of heading back to the river and to the south-west, into the Barren Woods. But, I have grown fond of traveling and fighting with you all. So, if you'll still have me, I would like to continue to travel with you." he ponders for a while before turning to Thäoran and saying with a wry smile, "Besides, you are going to need all the help you can get if you plan on chasing dragons."

It is a brave elf that thinks a dragon can be tamed.

My character, Uthal, travelled south from the Spine of the World in search of the perpetrators who wronged his tribe when he bumped into the adventuring party. Joined them for only a couple of battles and a goblin ear hunt. I feel like I only just joined so I am keen to find a purpose moving forward.

Have we exhausted our search of these caves? What's our plan?

My vote is the search the remaining unsearched tunnels. Might as well be thorough before we exit the caves.

Uthal extends his arm to assist the newly healed Fenris to his feet. "Good to see you fighting fit again!"

Fenris said, "Though part of me agrees with you, my gut tells me there is still something here to find. Though as I am not originally of this group, I will not investigate them alone, and will follow the group's lead on this."

Also a new commer to the group, Uthal will follow the group's lead too, "If you have somethign to find, then I'll help with the search. I say we heed the Dwarf's advice."

Urthal mutters his words as he tends to Fenris's injuries, evoking Cure Wounds.

"We have been wandering these caves for how long now, and we have found nothing but a sacraficial space and an angry Naga. We should get out of here."

Uthal, looks briefly around to make sure everyone is ok (Fenris, do you need healing? If so, Uthal will offer up 'Cure Wounds'), before he makes his way to the wall and traverses it to the dead end (carefully looking for anything interesting), around to the other side and back (OOC: probably not the best person for the job, but investigation).

Uthal was about to cast Ice Knife when Gerdar head for the large shape. Quickly changing his mind he blows the drop of moisture from his hand (casting Frostbite) at the Naga, after which he will try to drag Fenris back away into the rubble and away from the creature.

The trailer looks great! When is it out?

How close is Uthal to Gerdar and Fenris? Can he reach Fenris to drag him back toward them (Preferably without being noticed)? Can he speak/whisper to Gerdar without being noticed by the Naga (Does he estimate)?

Uthal will continue his endeavour to reach the other side and help Fenris with his battle. Onward he digs or moves. Trawling through the rubble. If the way through is blocked he will fall back on his original plan to transform into something that will fit through.

Ha ha, it would have to catch me first. Then I transform into a bear and watch the Naga's face explode!
You can use Uthal as bait. First we need to get through this wall of rubble and dust.

Thanks DM, I will hold off on the transformation unless it is needed and try to make way through the rubble as I am. I have updated my post.
