That seems like a worthy quest and well worth fulfilling. How can I help? Uthal can provide some heeliing for those that need it. I think recovering you lot back to optimum health is probably the first priority.

How are you all placed health wise. Is a long rest going to see you through, and does anyone need healing? 
What is Varlog and Botkinburg please? And didn't you lot nearly get slaughtered over there. Why do you want to go back?

Uthal, notices that some of the group are still injured and the unrelenting foes still in pursuit. Thinking to himself that we need to shake this enemy and find these folk a place to recoup. 
He falls to the back of the group as they are head into the woods, putting himself between the party and the gnoll and goblin. As soon as he is close enough to get his target right, he casts "Ice Knife" (using a 2nd level spell slot) at the gnoll.

Nomad - Uthal was suggesting heading "Striaght back - Directly into the woods". I think that is west? It seems some of the group are still injured and it might be worth finding a place for them to regroup. Uthal can help with some healing if someone is dire. If they are still being pursued then the spell may help. If not, then it is probably a waste of a slot.

Responding to Thäoran, Uthal replies "I am Goliath, call me Night Walker!" he bows his head.
"I suggest we head this way" gesturing towards the woods.

ooc: Uthal casts "Pass Without Trace" on the group.

Nomad - Does Uthal have the required materials to cast "Pass without Trace'? I'm thinking he can use his druidic focus for the mistletoe and spruce is readily available around these woods.
