I say we take one each, to keep both of the bugbears occupied and to stop them from attacking the rest of the group who are heading up to us (sorry Keeper). What do you think?

"C'mon!" whispers Uthal as he dashes past Lilly.

Uthal keeps up his dashing pace with Thäoran. Secure in the knowledge that a side by side ally is probably a safer bet than "spider climbing" up to meet what ever is at the top alone.

Seems the map has gone again. I missed it.

I have some questions about Spider Climb (spell) for you please...
Can Uthal use Spider Climb up the cliff, verticle face?
Will that get him to the ridge where the burning log was thrown from?
Spider climb states "while leaving hands free". Does this allow for Uthal to have ready and/or use his quaterstaff while climbing?

@Keeper, Interesting! I am pretty sure you can survive without an ear. Perhaps we should find an enterprising horde of goblins who can live with missing an ear and play middle-man. Might be able to make a mint. 

Uthal, quaterstaff in hand continues his chase of the Bugbears (Dashing), heading up the path to the ridge.

You folk are collecting a bounty on goblin ears? Just the right ears? Who is offering this? Do you get coins for spider web, snail trail and puppy dog's tails too?

Uthal, seeing Thäran make a break for the Bugbears, figures two is better than one and decides to follow (also Dashing). "Might as well run into the nest" he thinks to himself as he takes off.

(OOC: if the goblins are within range and there is no risk to any friend...)

Uthal reaches for his waterskin, finding a drop of water, he molds the drop with his hands into a shard of ice to cast Ice Knife (2nd Level) at the attacking goblins (aiming at the centre most goblin).

Uthal, shakes his head approvingly at Hornets plan, adding with a quiet grunt "ah huh". He waits to follow at the back of the adventuring party. Preparing a bullet and positioning it in his sling, readying for an attack then following on. Listening carefully for any rustling in the woodlands or sounds indicative of approaching danger as they proceed.

Gots me "Spider Climb" and "Spike Growth" mixed up.

Uthal, watches, dissaponted as his shot misses his target. He glimpses a stone from nowhere strike the goblin square between the eyes, just a split second before it is skewered by a javelin. Looking back, Uthal sees where it came from and passes an approving nod at Lilly's marksmanship.

Realising the second goblin could blow their cover. Uthal stumbles up the thicket and rocks to get as close as possible to the creature before picking up seven small twigs, stripping them to a point with his teeth and casting Spider Growth at the ground under the remaining goblin.

Agreed, if we have already blown our cover, and we are downhill, we are at the disadvantage. Let's get as high as we can and finish it. Uthal can cast Spider Growth to slow the gobin down.

Uthal readies his sling with a stone (Sling bullet) and takes aim at the closest goblin (ooc: Not sure I have the range for this shot). "Ready when you are."

We will just need to select differnt targets. Between us we should be able to take them out. Uthal has a sling or can cast Ice Knife.

The Druid is game to try. I'd better eat before we go.

We could always cut a few trees down and make a log raft. How deep is the river? If Uthal is tall enough he can push the raft.

Evidently uncomfortable by the presence of so many and feeling like a stranger among friends, Uthal steps forward to greet the new folk. He lumbers over slowly with a giants walk, towering over the two of them and slowly bows his head and speaks with a deep and gentle voice, "Night Walker. A pleasure to meet you both." he leans down to offer his wrist to both Boris and Lilly for a warriors hand shake.

Scifi sounds great and fantasy is alwasy welcome. Count me in.

Slightly disoriented by his companions' sudden lack of scent, Uthal wears a look of confusion (ooc: his upbringing has taught him to use his sense of smell more acutely than most).

While he admires Geldar's audacity, he agrees with Thäoran on a stealthy approach. "I can shroud us in a veil of shadow and silence for a short while."

Uthal takes the downtime to introduce himself to his new found companions. Introducing himself only as "Night Walker".

As one that dissaproaves of injustice, especially the injustice of children, he accetps Dok's offer to join their quest. Besides, in the state in which he met these folk, they might need all the help they can muster.

"Elven or Dwarven plan, it will need to be a wise plan. What do I need to know?" he asks.
