The F-bombs, as well as I believe $#!t get filtered out automatically, hence my lack of worry.

Also, if you guys start asking me for phonetics for every character I introduce, this is going to be a long game.

Also, you've all posted. Already. Holy crap.

I'll...get writing I guess.

Indeed. But I felt I owed it to the rest of the group to at least learn theirs correctly.

Something

Something I should mention, anyone with relevant skills they'd like to use outside of dedicating a game post to (ie Knowledge Skills, anything you consider your character would just "know" like using a use rope check to see if a knot is secure from sight, etc) feel free to post it in this thread and I'll give a roll and get back to you.

Just a note though, Knowledge skills are "trained only", so no spamming untrained checks for every thing you see.

I'll do just that.

Sense Motive!

idk if you're doing that automagically, but I'd like to know what my senses tell me before posting.

Does anyone want to make a check to see if they know anything about the horseman or who might be coming?

Taking It On.

Mm... Beginning the quest is all good and fine for Calopee. Leaving quietly midst the sour taste of defeat, however, is certainly not out of the question. I suppose we'll have to see how it goes.

Horsemen Check...

I knew I should have taken those points in Knowledge, or gather information... Let's see if I make it to level 5.

.

Yeah I have a few knowledge's, but none that will help us right now.

also Relos is obviously going with the morally correct option with the quest, don't feel obligated to follow suit but if you do I'm sure you'll score brownie points with your local paladin

double edit, btw schnozzle, not sure if this might alter your post or not but remember, Relos doesn't know about the knight and thinks you four really did kill the giant, so careful with that ;p

btw, I think something with some of the newer people of the inn has to be brought up, and that is rping other's characters. Such as schnozzle's line involving relos smiling at him at the end of his post. i know it's not something big but it's good form to stay away from dictating actions of other peoples characters and even NPC's, unless of course it has been cleared with the DM first.

So if you could schnozzle, please edit your post so it doesn't have anything like that

i hope i'm not sounding too rude, i think this is something that hasn't been mentioned yet and i just wanted to drop a little tip on how to RP via forums since it is quite different than other ways of RP.

other than that though I really enjoy the way your character development is coming along for Mal!

Really liking the posts so far, and the clip we're moving at is phenomenal.

On Jozan's point, I have to agree on being careful about taking liberty with one another's characters. Often time a simple PM "hey if I do this how would you react" is enough to get the idea before jumping ahead and posting without it.

Just really hate to see any player see their character get "forced" to act in a way they don't like, for any reason. Just courteous.

But seriously, I am enjoying the hell out of this.

sorry

Sorry, it's difficult to know where the line stands. I actually almost PMd you about that but figured when you said others would score brownie points he would be smiling but since it was small Iv skipped on it. I'll talk with you and others in the future before making this sort of mistake in the future.

It can be hard, I'm sure you know, making forward progress without adding anything new about other characters.

Schnoozle's Post

Also, to my knowledge, that little bit about the dead knight was a secret we were keeping from our well to do paladin friend, but it's an interesting choice if intentional.

I really liked your post though. You guys are raising the bar.

oh no worries!

it's all good, don't think i'm offended or mad or anything I figured since we have some newer people this would be a good opportunity to point out something that only really comes up in play by post games.

on another note, do you want to still say that thing about the knight? remember relos has no idea and thinks you guys are the people who killed the giant

aaaaaaand i was ninja'd by philo lol

well...

I'm leaving it in. :-) Unintentional but a fun choice to misspeak at this particular moment.

Edit - fixed the post btw
Power ninja edit: it would actually be really fun to continue weaving a web of lies around this. "What do you mean dead knight?" "Oh I never told you how I became the argent blade?"
