Subject: Two poems at once

Feelings
I hate it when you ignore me.
I hate it when you say Hi
And my face goes red
I hate that part of me melts when I see you
I hate how your smile affects me
I hate how you notice every girl
But Me
I hate that how my eyes are drawn towards you
But What I hate the most
Is that it isn’t hate
But a silly crush

Boys
Why do you look at me?
I’m not that pretty
I know of girls who like you
So why pay attention to me?
You treat me horribly but
You’re sad when I don’t talk to you
You say you’re happy when I’m sad
But you seem to listen to my laugh
You constantly flirting with your crush
But you ignore her when I’m beside you
What’s in your head?
I’m pretty much invisible
So why are you noticing me?

These are some poems for me to vent steam. Hope you don't mind.

Subject: Your welcome.

Teenagehood
It is both wanted and feared time.
When we wish for independence
But long for the carefree ways of childhood;
We seek acceptance from others
Yet we want to leave our own mark;
We say we don’t care about love
And we secretly wish for it;
We tell ourselves we are fine
When we really want to cry;
We say we’re grown up
Even though we want our parents love;
Teenage hood is like a battle
Against others, against the world,
And against ourselves
That is what it’s like.

Glad I could inspire you, Dakarta. Hope you like this one!

Our nation’s greatest joy
Lasting from Past to the Present
Young athletes racing against the clock
Making history through speed and skill
Placing in the top three while fans scream your name
Inspiring other people and encouraging other athletes
Courage is need when facing tragedy or an opponent
Savouring the victor of the medal until next time.

Thanks for encouragement, Eol and Dad. This was a past homework assigment but I really like this one.

Subject: Ilde

Ilde almost cursed out loud when the ranger use his crossbow. However her attention went to the last surviving Ankheg. She let loose her arrow. With a thwack! the arrow struck home. Ilde smiled her delight. She looked around. The red head was healing the ranger. Ilde’s smile stayed a little longer. However it faded when she spotted the two guards.

She ran up to them. The wound solider was trying to act tough but Ilde could see he need the healing. “Well done, you two. I think you will need some healing.” She said. She listens politely to his answer. Ilde said “I’m quite sure you are a strong man, I don’t doubt that but even the best need healing.” (OOC assuming he still disagrees.) Ilde eyes flash in annoyance but continued softly “A wound is still a wound. You may feel fine NOW but the wound can get worse and you will die.” (IF he stills says no, she will heal him without permission.)

That done; Ilde now looked at the group, she had helped. A tall warrior, a short-bearded ranger and a female rune master. A bit unusual but she was strange too. She calmly came to them and said politely “Hello, fellow warriors. I’m Ilde. I heard the monster have some captives. Shall we all go get them or go back? If we go back we can get supplies and back up. If we leave now we have a better chance of bringing them back alive.”

(She will use cure moderate Wounds.)

Is guard #2 dead or unconsious? If he's alive Ilde would want to heal him. If he's dead, Ilde will want to comfort the brother.

Subject: Ilde (Sorry about being late!)

Ilde nearly cheered when the guards killed the creature. But her joy was short lived as she noticed that three were still left. Ilde noted that the guards were helping each other. The tallest stranger was fighting with a rapier and the red-head was helping. As she pulled the arrow to her bow, Ilde figured out what to aim for.

The ranger was going rapidly pale. Ilde briefly aimed and then fired. However her second arrow missed her second target. As she reached for her next arrow, Ilde looked around. The guards were busy. The other two were fighting hard against their target. Sadly the Ankheg was spewing all over them. Noticing the ranger was hacking, she made her choice. As she brought the bow at the level she needed, Ilde aimed carefully.

As she let loose the arrow she called out. “Ranger; Try to get out of battle! I’ll be there to help you in a second.” Ilde let loose another arrow. As the arrow left the bow, she started to move towards the injured ranger.

Subject: Fight, Fight the bugs!

Ilde continued to walk into the cave. Her lights danced around her almost to the beat of the last song she had heard recently. As she walked the sounds of battle got louder. The tunnel reminded her of something she had seen before. Finally she could see them. The one closest to her had auburn hair and wore rune covered armour. There were two guards a little ahead. Ahead of them were a very tall warrior and a young ranger.

Ilde opened her mouth to call out when the creatures attacked. The warrior and the ranger, at the same time, raised their cross bows and fired. Three of the shots bounced off and a single one struck. When the creature let out a shriek, Ilde remembered where she had seen them before. The monsters were Ankhegs! The Rune master swung a stone at it but that enraged it.

The monsters attacked; grabbing the tall warrior and just hitting the ranger. The two guards tried to defend themselves but their attacks made the Ankhegs angry. One snapped its mouth around a guard’s waist and began to drag him. Ilde tried to recall the story fast then remembered part of it.

The bugs would go for those who breathe
Leaving the bait behind.
Its saliva dissolving what it touches
Only through a man’s courage
Can this creature be beaten

Ilde wasn’t sure if it was true or not but made a decision. Her arrows could possibly kill some one so she would try to encourage the guards. Using her thumb, she strummed her bow making a deep thrum, thrum sound. Ilde then called out:

“Warrior, Warrior,
Is that your best?
Are you sure
You aren’t stronger?
Warrior, Warrior
Is that your best?
Don’t you know
You CAN beat
The monsters
With your sword?”

(OOC: Ilde is trying to Inspire Courage, after this she might use her bow.)

Out of curisosity, Are these guys younge or old? In the book I have, Younge Ankhegs have and Ac of 2 and the underside Ac of 6. Older Ankhegs have an Ac of 2 and the underside Ac of 4.

I just wanted to know because it will affect our chance of hitting them.

Subject: The new player joins

Ilde was walking to the museum. She hums to herself a human song; she had learned. Over her shoulder there was a short bow and a quiver full of arrows. On her belt was a dagger and short sword. Most would not bring weapons to a museum but Ilde had learn through the years was it was better to be prepared. Her hair was black and her eyes were a dark violet. As she walks, her braided beard shifted.

Ilde didn’t bother running or walking fast even though she was late. Ilde had never been interested in the stone and metals, unlike her kin. She preferred to be outside and to explore. However Ilde respected people’s difference and was curious about this “marvellous” stone. Ilde (being a bard) was good at gathering information. Even though half her time was spent with her sickly father, Ilde knew all of the latest gossip. This new sapphire was the most common topic in her kin conversations.

Ilde sensed that there was going to be a story behind this stone. She had waited until her father had fallen asleep. Then head to the museum. She had figured that it would be crowed so she took her time. She was almost there now. Ilde was expecting a big line of people. What she saw instead startled her.

Millions of people were running (as if their lives depend on it) from the museum. There were screams and some men in amour gone pale in fear. Ilde ran to the closest one. He was sputtering in terror. Ilde asked “What has happened? Why are you running in fear?” The man stared at her shaking. Then he stammered “B-B-Big B-B-Bugs!” Ilde asked “What have the bugs done?” Ilde asked making her voice soft and gentle. “G-G-Grab s-s-stone and k-k-kidnapped s-s-six people,” The man stuttered and stopped shaking. “Is there anyone else still inside?” Ilde asked calmly even though inside she was worried and shocked. “S-S-Some guards and t-t-three strangers,” He answered then fainted.

Ilde didn’t bother to talk to some one else. She ran into the museum. She noticed some guards shaking and standing by a giant hole. She pulled her bow off her shoulder. The guards were too scared to notice her walking in to the hole. She could still hear faint noises from the tunnel. She called on her magic and a little light appeared by her left shoulder and drifted forward. Without hesitation, Ilde followed it and entered the tunnel.

(Ilde is using dancing lights to guide herself and is following using the sounds they make. So technically she is using Search)

Alacrity made several statues come alive and chase us, sing Tickle, Tickle. If they touch we had to save v.s spells. I ended up with fly into walls, some one else lost thier armour and one sweated up a stream.

The Heros
In the fairy tales
The good warrior comes home
Does not matter, whose war
They were fighting
The good warrior always came back
So why,
In the name of all those fairy tales
Didn’t my good warrior come home?
During world war one?

In all the myths:
The noble knight saves the princess
Didn’t matter if she loves him or not
He would save her
So why,
In the name of those myths
Why didn’t my knight come save me?
After World war two?

Grace did her best to ignore Kane glare as she listen to Mel. As soon as Mel showed the portable Scanner: Grace did a slight grin. She studies it and did some math in her head. Who ever had own it previously had used it a lot and it was worn. However the Scanner it self was 20 credits maybe even more if there was a chance to truly bargain. Still poking it around to check if the gentlemen had put a listening bug on it, Grace explained what she had heard about Watson.

“Our Employer is dead. According to the News, he died during a questioning. Something about allege terrorists. Not that I normal listen to the News. Or Alliance for that matter. The men who left this were wearing earwigs. I bet I can play around with my Multiband till I can listen in on them.” Grace stated. She frowned at the screen for a second. It looked like it was turning off...

Suddenly, it beeped twice and rebooted it self. Now it had a lot more information on it. Grace jaw dropped when she read the letters and numbers. She heard Kane explain in surprise. Not she blamed him; they had a gold mine on their hands. She knew someone who could really use this info and would happily pay a lot for it. Grace was about to say her idea when the police showed up.

She hears the shouts of Barmaids and sees the men burst through the door. One officer with a megaphone says “No one moves! This is a joint Police and Alliance Special Forces raid! Everyone freeze and put them up!” Kane quickly hides the Scanner. “Ok everyone stay calm let’s not be yu bun duh. It’s a good chance they are not here for us but the other people we were mistaken for. Let’s play it nice and slow and see what happens. If things go to ‘guay’ wait for me to make the first move before we go hostile” he advices. Grace gave a slight nod and but on her rucksack.

As she put her hands up; she studies the room and the officers. Trying to see if she could find an easy escape route.

“Yeah…right.” The gunman replied as he reached for the bowl of Wasabi peas, his eyes on Grace the entire time and hands them over. “Here ya go.”

Mentally Grace cursed. She hadn’t spotted what was in his ear and she hated Wasabi. “Thank you” she said doing her best to keep her baby voice. Suddenly the man who was speaking to Kane walk past them. The man she was talking to walk away from her and started following him. Grace turned to see at least three men join behind him.

Any one who saw that look in her eye would know: Grace had entered her paranoid mode. In her mind; Grace was trying to figure out whether or not the man she was talking to was a friend or enemy. She reached into her pocket and grabbed her butterfly knife. Still keeping it closed Grace started to walk forward. She saw someone shove a man onto their original table. Grace was trying to figure out what to do when she realized Kane was looking at her.

Grace sighed quietly and took her hand off the knife. ‘Don’t do something dumb. You are not sneaky. Try to stay calm.’ She reminded herself. Grace turns towards Kane and the table and walk towards them. Then she got an idea. However to do it she wanted some info from Kane. Grace reaches the table. Smiling a little bit to show she wasn’t in her twitchy mode she said “Well, do we have some sort of deal or a problem on our hands?”

Fire
Is wild and fierce
Yet it warms us and gives light
Water
Is calm and collected
It washes away filth and grief
Earth
Is strong and determined
We treasure it because it is our home
Wind
Is kind and happy
It guides us and blow away danger
We have to care for these elements
Because they care for us

Grace move closer to the man. Trying to spot at what he was playing with in his ear. Then to her surprise he started to turn towards her. Quickly she snapped her eyes to the menu that was above his head. She quickened her pace as if she was reading and walking.

“See something you like there Missie?” the man asked looking at her. Grace stop where she was and lowered her eyes to him like a girl being called out to by a stranger. “Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t see you there.” Grace said using her babyish voice. She noted that his hand was moving to his gun. “Okay, he suspicious right now. I need to convince him I’m not a threat and to turn so I can look at his ear.” She thought.

Widening her eye so she looked startled. Grace again spoke in her babyish voice. “I was just looking at the menu. I’m sorry I disturbed you.” She said then doing a sweet lip smile at him.

(OOC: assuming he says “that okay miss” or “no problem”)

Grace spotted the little bowl of wasabi nuts just a distance away from them. If he looked at them she could get a really close look at his ear. “NUTS!” she said in a happy baby voice. The man looked at her at what she guess was confusion. “Oh sorry, I just really like nuts.” Said Grace forcing her cheeks to blush and pointed to bowl of nuts. As he turned to look at it; Grace could now see his ear perfectly.

In a field down by the road
Lay cross,s in rows
All marked and dated
All alone
I stand in the field,
Thinking of the war that cause these graves
I imagine the men of long ago
Husband who went for pride
Young men with fake ages to join
Father who went for their children
Now they lie here
Some will be remembered by fame
Others by love ones
I close my eyes and imagine
My father taken away
My mother’s tears as she waved good-bye
A tear escapes my eyes
I look at these graves
Cross’s in long rows
All marked and dated
As I turn away to head home
I say “Thank you”
“For helping me remember you all”
As I walk home, I hear a noise
I look behind me
To see the cross’s marked with hearts

Grace looked around. She watches her two friends move to the booth. “Not good” she thought. She looked around again. Then she spotted a man walk to the bar. He was tall with long hair. He was looking at the booth and playing with his ear. “Joo Fuen Chse!” She thought.

“Found her! I’ll be right back!” Phil exclaimed as he got up. Grace looked at him confused. As He started to dash, Grace said “Wait! Phil!” He didn’t pay attention and continued to head towards something. She then heard something that caught her attention.

“James Watson, head of security for the Far Yukon Mining Company died today while being questioned by authorities over allege terrorist involvement. An official for the government told reporters that they didn’t know that Mr. Watson had a bad heart and apparently died during routine questioning.” The T.V above the bar was doing the News.

“Double Joo Fuen Chse! Not good, not good.” She muttered. Hoping she looked like some girl going through her bag. Grace reach into her rucksack (Which is under the table) and pulled an object. It looked like a decorated box. She slipped her butterfly knife into her jacket pocket. (That was the box. It isn’t open) Grace looked at the man. She needed to distract him with something. But what would work better? A bar fight or some pretty girl talking to him…. She watched him play with his ear. Could he have an ear wig? Grace got up as quietly as possible. She slowly grabbed her bag and move towards the table closest to the man. She looked at his ear trying to see what he was doing.

(OOC: I would like a perception roll to see if Grace can spot the earwig or not.)
