Things could go very badly if one or the other of the two 'packages' tried to attack Hairtech and his people with a weapon the group has missed and could be blamed for. No need to add yet more enemies to an already growing list.

Fixer quietly proceeds to follow the orders, coming up empty. Flanking Rya and Jase, the medtech and the techie walk the two up to where Ghlahn and Charlie stand.

“Come here, Jase,” Hairtech commands, his left hand held out to the boy.

“No,” the child throws back. “I want to be with my mom.”

Santa’s Ambassador devours Rya with a flat stare. “All right. Come with me and we’ll make arrangements for your mother.”

“No harm is to come to my boy,” Rya demands in a bold but shaky voice.

Hairtech remains unemotional. “Of course.”

Hesitating just a little, Rya pulls Jase in front of her and holds him by the shoulders. “Go with him. I’ll be along in a minute. Vamos, now.”

if possible... get to the van and LEAVE with no shooting. Nice of you to sneak that one single line in finally.

We finally meet the team that was trying to kill us all.....face to face. I still have to deal with Jack when I can... communicate with him, now that this is over. Lovely.....

“The money will be wired to your employer as soon as we are safely away from here,” Hairtech says to Charlie. “Your work is done.”

Luther nods back, then turns away to walk calmly back to the van. 

Turning away from the exchange, the man walks Jase back towards the limo. The ten-year-old boy continues to cast furtive looks back at Rya where she stands wringing her hands beneath her chin but he causes no trouble. Once he’s inside the stretch aerodyne and the doors are closed, the vehicle’s fans start up blowing dust everywhere as it lifts off.

Twisting about, the limo flies overhead and makes its way out of the enclosed warehouse block leaving the two ground cars and the team of executive security behind. Once the limo is out of sight, a sturdily-built black man steps up to Rya and puts his hand on her forehead.

She sobs once before the bullet from the man’s cybernetic gun ends her life.

 "A precautionary measure. I'm sure you understand. Now... let's put this contract to bed, shall we? The boy, please."

"Yes, apologies to you and your staff, I wish no ill to you or to disrespect your corporation with any delay, As her subordinate, I will honor your wishes and not waste your credits nor time, we are not looking for a conflict of any type even thou others actions might be construed in a different fashion. "Its just business" and I understand this "suit" life. I hope that you will take these words into consideration if our paths ever are to cross again".

No smile this time... Luther understood that the suit was being very nice, we cut a deal and we are not honoring it and his patience was wearing thin with these games.

"Its just business", those words wasn't the first time that he has heard that, Luther was hoping to say " "Its good business" but that didn't happen. They came for the boy, whatever happens next depended on how this mess was going to be put to bed. For some, emotions were very high and wanted to make a mark in this "shadowy world" that the team would run under the radar, all present were some form of criminals even if they had no marks. This is why people come together to make a stand like in those old-time westerns, Cowboy up. 

It was now or never, and the latter was the bad part. 

Suit types always had deep pockets, the best tools, toys, and tech. But to Luther they were colder than any Metal fee, "it's just business"... This is the part when the calvary comes in under a charge, but no cavalry here, no silver or gold spurs here. Just the cold biting wind. 

Techhair remains unblinking, standing still as can be, his hands crossed in front of his very expensive suit coat. “I hate to repeat myself and while that was a very nice speech, the contract states that the only one to be paid is a Starlight. You, I am presuming from your attire and the fact that you appear to be male, are not Starlight. Therefore, you are not entitled to the credits.

“Now,” Hairtech still hasn’t blinked. “Do be a good hound and fetch the boy. We are on a schedule.”

Of course, Starlight would have set everything up to go through her and with her injury taking her out of direct access, she’s still the only one who can receive the funds. This makes sense to Charlie. It is likely the way any fixer worth their salt would set things up. Thinking back on other runs that he’s made under her contract he cannot recall a single one where he’s been the recipient of the payment.

" You can't blame a guy for trying, can you?" Luther plays it off with a smile. " Okay... a win for your team ". without turning around Luther asks calmly  " Can you bring the package up, please". Luther begins to play with the Zippo lighter again.....

I'm willing to wait but then again and I'll add that on as a small but nominal fee, so... I do a have a small be nominal fees to charge, I mean don't you work for free?. Maybe the question that I should be asking is.. whom do you work for." 

" I have what you want, you have what I want but we really don't trust watch others here, do we".  ** Luther flashes that infectious smile here**  and that hurts my feelings, so...., lets cut the chase... if you don't have the credit stick, that I can and will verify, or your employer isn't in that vehicle. I will need to leave, so that I may add... my small but yet nominal fee to this fiasco. 

How many time back in the 80s, characters have been getting looked over and messed over. I'm not trying to ruffle feathers but I'm being careful till the point that the shooting usually starts, and characters die. 

That being said... 

I want to use "raw" ability in dealing that the suits, and I would like to make a roll for something flattering like the hair, some sort of common ground before the un niceties start. They can call it stalling or whatever, but its another few breaths before death.

The face mask that was aligned with the phantom of the opera might not have been a bad idea, not for the filter part but hopefully assist with staying in the shadows. This was like the longest yard for Luther and having a tank right behind him didn't make things feel any better. It was like seeing a movie about "checkpoint Charlie" back in Germany during the late 70's early 80s. Tension, sometimes the soviets or the germans had the advantage and this is what Luther imagined it would be like. Like a bad spy movie, and Luther know that this is his last walk for sure. Everything depends on wait others will do but hey, you only live once. 

"I'll take Ghlan for now".  Luther comments to Casino. " Ghlan, ready to walk?" Luther turns his head " not to close, no visible weapons should be seen, even if they bear them. We don't need to escalate this anymore than needed, Easy peasy".

I still hate you because your doing your job

If anyone figures out a better plan, I'm all ears

staying in the van, waiting is not a good idea. 

1. enclosed space and you're all grouped together.

2. you would be sitting on an explosive device ( gas tank)

3. too easy to suppress your egress

4. you have a limited view and if you have a good view... your enemy can see you just as good too. 

"too many people, threatening and WE want something from them, so it's their rules not ours. This isn't the way to handle things. If everybody wants to tie my hands so I can't work. Then stick with casino's original plan because this will be a train wreck and I'm not going to take blame when you guys want to take control and tie my hands. I know my area of expertise, you don't see me tell you how to shoot, hack, patch up, fix or scout because that isn't my lane. I stay in my own lane. 

(OOC: I've said this a couple of times, read the book, this is my SA ( Special Ability) I read people and situations.) 

I appreciate your offer to attempt to protect anyone in that alley would be impossible odds. You are metal, we are flesh, I get that. But if you move, act upon what you might be perceived as a threat.  the other side could start to shoot. 

Maybe you haven't noticed, when I wheel and deal its usually without someone breathing down my neck, I'm in control of my environment. This time I'm not, I can pick up on social cues, you can't... you lack..."Empathy" and we both know and understand that most Cee uses people like me to deal with others. Because your kind no longer understands social cues and bad things start to happen. my metal friend, since you lack that, that makes you no longer an asset to me in this situation". 

That would be opposed to..... us with no cover, In an alley, less than 20 yards from a bunch of killers, while you guys are 200 plus ft away, yeah. I see your point. Jace can use the exercise, he is young.

1. I want to get everyone paid 

2. I want to get in and out quickly instead of walk / running 200 plus ft in a small narrow tight alleyway

3. Yeah, that would be at least some cover if things went bad and the shooting started, You think that its a coincident that they chose the alley, flooded it with lights from their vehicles and most of the solos in the group have chosen close to medium-range weapons. 

4. Cee Metal is the only one that has a long arm, 200 plus ft, just to the middle of an alley. 

5. no one can do anything, except watch the event unfold, that's it. no one is going to rush into an alley, 200 ft to rescue anybody, because they will be food for the fish. So call me spoiled, I don't want to walk. 

6. how many movies have seen where people are walking away from an illicit deal and get shot in the back walking. I want a chance at getting away

Okay, I'll do all the non-shooting things and you make holes in things then, agreed?. Yes the drone is unarmed and if I can get things back on track I'll attempt to do this quickly.
